Just got home after spending a fantastic holiday in Cezch republic, Stayed at the Waldstein for the second year running, beautiful, clean rooms with really friendly and helpful staff. Rooms cleaned every day if you want, breakfast was plentiful and filling. They helped us with transportation tickets and explained how to use the trams, trains and metro system, which was... More

This was a traditional hotel with a bit of charm. We had a deluxe room which I would recommend due to additional space, free wine and 2 rooms. The hotel breakfast was great with a good selection to suit most tastes. The Wi-Fi was OK and in general the only negative point is no air con. We has a fan... More

I spent 2 nights here before a cycling trip. I was travelling alone as a woman so in hindsight it was strange that the hotel placed me in the difficult to access annexe which you get to via a side door and a sad dishevelled courtyard and external stairs. The room was a good size and well laid out, but... More

When we went to Hotel Waldstein it was fantastic. Alena was really helpful with information regarding Prague. She was extremely helpful in booking our River Cruise, phoning through and organising everything. She gave us excellent advice about our sight seeing tours. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay here. The hotel is quite unique with a quaint little courtyard outside, with vines coating the walls of the exterior. It's so lovely. There is a sitting area outside so you can enjoy a coffee or drink, and breakfast is great - a great spread of cheeses, breads, yogurt, fruit, eggs, and sausage. Rooms were a... More

Our group of cyclists from Canada stayed at this hotel before our tour from Prague to Dresden. We were pleasantly surprised by the charm of the this hotel. This is a very quaint hotel with spacious rooms with medieval ambiance. Our group was well pleased with the accommodations, breakfast menu and its proximity to many historic sights on the left... Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
