Stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate a birthday. A beautiful hotel, in all honesty I could not fault a thing about it right from the initial contact to make the reservation to the friendly helpful staff on arrival and throughout our stay. The hotel has a great location on a small square right beside Charles Bridge & River. We...

My husband and I dropped in for a drink on a rainy summer day in the hotel's restaurant to also get a better feel for the hotel. We spoke with Barbora at the front desk in the small reception area. She kindly showed us around, while I explained that we are currently staying near the Kampa park in the Mandarin...

We spotted this hotel and its superb location last year and booked with Expedia (incl. flights) for ourselves and our two friends to cover two Birthdays during our short break. Also pleased this Hotel included a buffet breakfast which proved an excellent start to the day. We had excellent private rooms (no view but was not an issue). We had...

Stayed here Dec 16 with three female friends in twin rooms. We ended up in the courtyard rooms which were ideal for the smokers in the group with their own tables outside. The hotel was spotless, breakfast range and quality fantastic and the 20% discount for guests in the restaurant and bar excellent. Great location and really quiet - we...

Me and my girlfriend had a river view double room. Whilst the hotel is not contemporary nor been renovated in recent years this adds to the charm of the place. Everything was clean and the parquet flooring and terracotta tiles on bathroom floor were worn but I think this adds character. And if you've come to an ancient gothic city...

This little hotel had a great location and was in the middle of everything. Very easy to get around. Nice breakfast, nice and helpful staff and neat clean rooms with wooden floors, the only minus was that the mattresses were hard. Got an extra mattress.

The location is perfect to explore the whole of Praha, next to the centre of the charles bridge but with sites in every direction, just a short walk thought the lane is John Lennon Wall and the other way is the park and a museum. It is a short walk to the castle and old town square so great positioning....

Stayed here in Prague for three days. Perfect location near the Charles Bridge and all the tourist sites. Room was tiny but clean. Two twin beds if needed. Restaurant was typical Czech cuisine, lots of meat and starch. Short on fresh vegetables.

We stayed here for 3 nights and thought it a lovely hotel. We organised the airport transfer by email and worked a dream, more expensive than a taxi @€30 but so easy. We stayed in room 1, a nice big bed and room and looking the river. The hotel is a 1min walk from the historic Charles Bridge and therefore...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
