Lovely hotel in great location, very close to Charles Bridge, the rooms are massive, heated floors in the bathroom. Breakfast is OK, cold meats, cheeses, yoghurt, fruit, pastries, cereals, hot choice a bit weird small sausages, scrambled eggs, veg and potatoes, fruit juice was wishy washy. Outside in small square are fabulous food and beer stalls we'll worth a visit. Hotel is in a perfect location and would recommend.
This hotel has a fantastic location for visiting both the old town and new town by foot. It’s literally steps from the Charles Bridge. The room (two twins) was large with wood and tile floors. The bed was firm with comfortable linens. The windows open for air flow. There was a remote controlled heating/air unit on the wall but we could not figure out how to use it. Breakfast was good. The breakfast area is very cozy. The location is quiet and there are many restaurants within close walking distance. Staff was friendly.
This hotel is very charming. My room garden view was like having my own little private house. Extremely clean and new, the mattress is especially conceived for hotel and it was so relaxing. It's near as you may know Charles Bridge, near means 100 mètres. So you can turn the cornes and see all Prague. There where many shifts of receptionist but the best was far Victoria, she manager our stay and helped us booking taxis and she could get us a very busy restaurant Saturday night, we really thank you for making our stay so pleasant. Upper rooms should have a river sight, but the garden rooms for me where so beautiful. We are very happy to have chosen this hotel. Breakfast is served in a very nice room, and you will find everything you need. Definitely we will come back. (if you are wondering about the great restaurant we dine it's called pork's) …
This is a great hotel….. if you love a hard bed. Perfectly positioned, lovely rooms, great breakfast. Would highly recommend but would not come back. The beds were so hard, like sleeping on the floor hard, that we had three very uncomfortable, sleepless and painful nights. If you like a hard bed then you can’t go wrong with this lovely hotel, with great views and location.
Can’t rate this hotel highly enough. A perfect location, so close to the busy, iconic Charles Bridge, but tranquil and really picturesque. Our room (20) had a river view and was bright, tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe space and spotlessly clean - excellent housekeeping. Breakfast is served in an attractive room with vaulted ceilings. Plenty of fresh fruit, cheeses and cooked food. There are so many great restaurants, cafes and bars in the area. We had a wonderful time in Prague and can certainly recommend this hotel.
I really enjoyed my stay at Archibald at the Charles Bridge. The lady who was there when I first checked in was lovely and accommodating when we needed to call our driver. The room was nice, simple. The breakfast was unfortunately a bit of a let down- the same thing every day, no toaster and frequently cold (scrambled eggs). When they top up food they put the new food on top of the old food which isn’t exactly great- normally old food goes on top so it gets used first and not stirred in. Otherwise a lovely stay!
It was a great stay. I’d definitely stay here again. Location is perfect. It was quiet and very clean. It’s right next to the river and all the restaurants and of course the Charles bridge. Thank you for a great time!
We booked this hotel very last minute, and it was almost the only one left with a reasonable price and location. Unexpectedly, it turned out to be an amazingly cute little hotel with extremely polite employees! Our room was big, clean, and spacious with a river view. The bed was comfortable, and the entrance to the room was from a small cute garden. The location of the hotel was right next to the Charles' Bridge, literally half a minute walk, and yet, the hotel was very quiet, so we did not have any issue with sleeping. The employees always smiled, answered all of our questions, and even provided free luggage storage after our checkout. The price included a free breakfast, and the breakfast was great! It had a large selection of food and drinks, and it wasn't overcrowded (which I still don't understand why, as this hotel is everything that you need! More that you need)! Thank you for your service and next time we are in Prague we will stay here again for sure!…
Archibald is a cosy hotel located just at the west pillar of the Charles bridge. Located amazingly, it provides a great walking touring experience at he heart of the old town. Breakfast is enough and nice, rooms are clean, comfortable and silent. Staff is friendly and helpful. Neighborhood is nice. You won’t regret for this hotel.
We stayed in the Archibald for 3 nights in Prague. The location under the Charles Bridge on the Mala Strana side was convenient and quiet. There are a couple of nice restaurants just across the quiet street and there are numerous restaurants within walking distance. Our room had a small sitting room attached to the bedroom which was a nice surprise. Breakfast was typical continental with a couple of warm items, certainly enough to start the day. The river with a view of the Charles Bridge was a very short walk just behind the hotel. I'd definitely recommend staying here while in Prague.
