The hotel is clean and attractive, with good facilities and very good breakfast. The staff (especially the ladies at the reception) are very polite, smiling and helpful! The only negative point I found is that having rent a three (adult) persons room we found ourselves in a rather normal size double bed room where an additional double bed (in total... More

We stayed at the K + K in December. The location was great for sightseeing across Prague being less than 10 mins walk from the Old Town. We had visited Prague before but still wanted to do all the touristy things. So far as the hotel itself is concerned everything in the other reviews is pretty accurate: * Good location... More

Excellent value compared to the 5* places in town without really losing anything on room comfort (if anything, the beds were some of the best I've slept in!) and even things like breakfast etc... the only reason why some might be put off is that it's literally next to two cabarets (translation: brothels) - one of them a Prague institution... Having just returned from Prague's fantastic Christmas markets, this I might add is not the first time we have been there, it was all the more pleasurable after finding a fantastic hotel in the middle of the hustle and bustle of this amazing bohemian city, just a very short walk (100 mtrs) from Wenslesness Square the heart of the shopping... Two and a half month ago I've stayed at K+K Hotel in Budapest. It vas very good ; because of that good experience I've chosen K+K Hotel Fenix and not disappointed. The room was clean, large and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Don't worry about night clubs along the street, nobody disturbs you! Metro station is two minutes away; but... More

Just returned, ( Dec 08) , after spending 3 nights. Travelled with my wife and two friends. We had thought we were staying at the same K+K hotel but on arriving realised that our friends were booked at the K+K Central. Explained to the receptionist and she arranged for all four of us to be in the Fenix. This was... More

We were very happy with this hotel. It was reasonably priced, and in a central location - easy to walk to the sites. The only drawback was that two late-night female cabaret clubs are right next to it, so the street it's on is a little seedy (not really a good choice if you have kids). However, we didn't hear... This hotel is perfect for a city break to Prague. I stayed here last week and this is my second stay here and yet again I really enjoyed my stay. It is in a great location just off Wenceslas Square and close to the National Museum. Do not worry about other comments about the 'cabaret clubs' on the same road.... More

An excellent base to see the sights and sounds of Prague. This hotel was so welcoming on our first visit to Prague. Easy to reach from the airport using the bus and metro. Our room was at the rear overlooking a quiet courtyard with big opening windows! Such an advantage when you want to have them open to cool the... More

Travelled for New Year 2007 but forgot to write a review... The hotel was excellent; comfortable and all facilities you would need. Located just of Wen. Square at Nat. Museum end. It is on the same street as a few strip clubs, but never felt intimidated and it meant the road was pretty well lit, It was easy to walk... More

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
