Its staircase, which is 270 years old, and richly decorated ceilings contribute to the hotel’s antique atmosphere. All rooms are equipped with historical furniture and have free Internet access. Rooms look over Malá Strana (Lesser Side), the Royal Route, Prague Castle or the Old Town. You will reach the Charles Bridge and the Old Town by taking a short walk through the enchanting historical centre of Prague. You will be served a choice of typically Czech as well as international cuisine in a restaurant with an antique vaulted ceiling. Breakfast is served in the form of rich hot buffet. A limited number of parking places is available directly in front of the hotel. You can use free Internet spot in the lobby.

Golden Star hotel is conveniently located near the Prague Castle on Mala Strana. This was the 6th time I stayed there. My hotel room was spotless when I arrived and thanks to Lena and her team - it stayed that way for the 5 weeks I was there. I have been traveling to Prague, since 2000. In that time I stayed at various places from large hotels like Four Seasons & smaller boutique hotels like Savoy. Once I discovered the Golden Star with it’s beautiful views and friendly staff - I was hooked. The breakfast selections are plentiful and satisfying. The rooms are well equipped w plenty of convenient plugs to charge my devices . The hotel is clean and modern, The staff at the desk - are all friendly and knowledgeable. I recently stayed at the Hotel Golden Star Prague and found it to be a delightful experience. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, heavenly quiet and a great location. Lena in maid service did an outstanding job keeping my room spotlessly clean and neat as a pin, her personality is so sweet, always a smile on her face. Lana at the front desk is a joy....she will direct you wherever you want to go and I bet she will know the answer to all your questions because she is so knowledgeable. I would definitely stay here again. Great place.

I had a great experience. Felt like a princess as I got a lovely room. The receptionist was super nice, and really made an effort to accommodate my requests. The breakfast is great and the customer service is top! I had a lovely time here. The location is just perfect. I will definitely come again.

Great location close to castle. Close to restaurants and pubs i.e., Tast and Hospudka. Breakfast was plentiful and filling. Reception staff were friendly and personable. Room facilities were excellent - fridge, safe, hairdryer, coffee maker.. Disliked · Need blackout curtains - gorgeous view from bedroom but sun is blinding in the morning.

Just returned from a 5 day break here. The hotel staff were all very lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. They spoke with us before hand as we had a earlier flight so we were able to check in earlier. In a good location , we were able to walk to most places. The breakfast is also very good with a lot of choice available , we hope we can stay here again soon.

This hotel is lovely! In an excellent position, the view is perfect, service second to none, breakfast is spot on and the room was excellent - comfortable, spacious, extremely well appointed and spotlessly clean. We had a brilliant stay here.

This is one of the Ave chain, like the three storks further down the hill in Mala Strana, and in my opinion the best of the chain. Airport pickup was very efficient, although I initially had some issues with my payment card that was quickly resolved, and reception was very helpful throughout the whole stay. Be aware that the hotel lift is quite small so if you have lots of bags you may need to go up in shifts. Good breakfast and they had honey which is my favourite. Lovely room also , nice big bed with a lovely bathroom. Walk in shower pressure and hot water excellent. The hotel is in a great location for Mala Strana and Prague castle and its very quiet here at night, I walked back from a restaurant at about 9pm and the street was deserted. There are good an bad points with that, in that if you are looking for nightlife this is not the best part of the city for that , also if you were struggling back with bags of souvenirs its a quite a way and a heck of a hill. That said there are a few pubs nearby and the metro is a bout a 10 min walk (Malostranska I think). Quite safe area as you are very nearby a lot of Czech government buildings. I would stay again.…

Golden Star, lives up to its name: it was like being in a fairy tale! My partner and I spent days looking on booking many hotels in Prague and this has been the best choice ever. EXCELLENT for price, quality, igene....and breakfast!!!! Highly recommended!

I selected this hotel based on the proximity to an event that I had to attend and it turned out to be a really good choice! This hotel is an old building, but inside it is very modern. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. You can tell that they did not go cheap on quality. Everything was in perfect condition. The air-conditioning was quiet and kept the room cool. The shower worked very well too. The biggest surprise was the breakfast buffet though. It was so extensive and again with high quality food items. Plus an espresso machine to make your own fresh coffee. If I ever return to Prague, I will definitely stay here again.
