A delightful and small hotel with a lot of character! We were on the 4th floor with spectacular views. The street we were staying in was cobbled, and at the top of the hill right below the castle. Amazing location, and the cityscape was spectacular from our bedroom window.

It was our first trip to Prague, and I'm so glad we booked here! Found this lovely hotel for a great price, and it was just what we'd hoped for. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was excellent - plenty of variety, and I even spotted some champagne! The hotel is just up... More

We stayed in Hotel Garden Star at the end of last November and we had a great experience. We chose this hotel primarily because of its location and we were very happy about our decision upon our arrival. From Pargue's airport, we took bus 119 and got off at its final stop. From there, we changed to metro line A... More

Me and my girlfriend found this beauty on trivago, much to our delight upon our arrival the hotel was just as beautiful as we had hoped. Rooms, clean well kept and fitting to the area. Unfortunately due to the nature of our trip we spent most of our time intoxicated and craving the rich taste only a platter of boiled... More

Nice, not too large hotel full of character. Very good position, a few minutes' walk from the Castle and "the" bridge. Excellent and friendly service. Comfortable rooms with tea/coffee making facilities and free wifi. Adequate breakfast. Plenty of small shops, bars and restaurants nearby. At times some annoying noise until fairly late at night from a "bar" opposite. All in... More

We came to celebrate our anniversary and were delighted with the hotel, the room and everything about it. The location is great, being next to the castle and so many wonderful stores and restaurants. The hotel service was eager and friendly -- they provided quick and reasonable transportation when we went out for a special night.

Thanks for a fantastic stay. This is a great little hotel at the foot of the Castle which makes the location perfect. It is walking distance to almost every attraction. The rooms were clean and well maintained with amenities (hair dryer, soaps, shoe polishing, etc). Parking is available but extra. The restaurant serves good food (breakfast included) but most of... The views from our front room were just stunning - taking in the whole of central Prague. But you need to be fit as the nearest tram is 10 mins walk either up or down steep cobbled streets. Built around an ancient tower of a city grandee, this comfortable hotel has a mixed bag of rooms. It can be noisy... More

We had two beautiful rooms for a mom, daughter, grandma trip for three nights in Dec 2015. The location is magical. We felt very safe. The staff was super attentive and professional. Breakfast is plentiful, fresh and varied. Our rooms had clean bathrooms in good shape & really comfy beds & linens. The hotel is charming & historic, but in... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighborhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
