Rooms are quite outdated with dirty carpet, bath room not really inviting. On the other hand there was no bad smell and breakfast was surprisingly rich. Thanks to breakfast hotel is good value for the money.

I have just returned from Europe traveling with 24 students. We were scheduled into the Hotel Globus in Prague. Was very surprised with the accommodations. They are in the process of renovating the lobby putting in a new bar and updating the restaurant. The hotel room was very adequate.
The only thing that I questioned was the process of tasking our passports for the checkin process. They kept them until they have entered information from our passport into their computer. We received them back about 2 hours later. I tried to question the receptionist but she did not give me an answer. I have traveled with students/adults for 12 years and this was an excellent experience at this hotel.
Wonderful breakfst, buffet style.

just got back today from prague with my boyfriend,we stayed at the hotel globus,we stayed their for three nights, the hotel was really nice, clean and modern! But we were very dissapointed with the staff their though, they were rude and didnt want to speak english to us! and didnt give us mutch information on how to get about as we were in the middle of nowhere, after going for a walk ourselfs we found that their was an underground (metro)10min walk from their, and we were able to purchase a three day transfer ticket for 220kc witch is around £5.00,and we could use that ticket to go on the bus and trams too! that was very usefull to us! i would advise everyone not to use a taxi their as they are very expensive! another thing we found hard their was how to work out the money.this is a handy tip if something costs e.g. 500ck we would divide that with 42 and get the amount in sterling! we hope that this information has been relevant too you all.

The location was terrible, to get to the hotel from the metro station you had to walk a very steep uphill through the woods with no lights and at night it got pretty scary. The room was very outdated and poorly maintained, the curtains did not block sunlight in the morning and the shower curtain was placed very high and water went everywhere. There was no mini fridge and no a/c and because it was hot you had to open the windows and insects would fly in especially at night. Also the housekeeping forgot to refill the shower gel and when we went to the reception to ask for some they told us that it's not their problem and that it's the housekeeping's fault and they wanted to charge us for samples

We stayed in this hotel for three days. The rooms (stayed in two different rooms, 2 nights and 1 night) had old furniture, old bathroom, but relatively clean.
The breakfasts are good.
Three days later after we left this hotel, they have charged 6000krona from my credit card. According to manager Radovan Sznapka they charged cost for broken TV. We have only slept one night in this room and do not even switch this TV.
If the hotel have any claims they had to resolve them when we check-out and not three days later.

Do not recommend to stay in this hotel!

Me and 4 of my friends stayed in a 5 people occupancy room. You will find lots of pleasure surprise in this room that makes you visit again and again. There was no Wi-Fi in the room and we happily lived the stone age. You will find muddy water from the tap that you can use it for a mud spa. Old & hard spring beds are so small like if you sleep on the bed in the night, you can teleport yourself on the floor in the morning. Loose bathroom latches that recommend you to be open for everything and eventually get a new career as stripper for your roommates. The hotel is so clever that they had a high sophisticated – modular inbuilt gym by tightening their toilet doors and build your muscle strength. You can also experience the life of street beggars by keeping all your belongings on the floor as there are no cupboards. Finally, this hotel can put you into deep sleep or even coma by building a tidy shower area that if you apply shower gel to your toes you can hit your head. So, I do recommend you stay in this hotel if you want to experience all above things. Happy Stay!!! Vanakkam!!!

We stayed two nights in your hotel.
Cell phone signal (all networks) is bad.
When we came to our room in the evening we found at least 50 ladybugs. They live in wood.
Windows were closed, they did not come from outside, they live inside the room.
After we told this to the receptionist, there was no surprise, she said lady bugs are in most rooms.
After the cleaning lady used vacuum cleaner on them, another 20 came out later.
We lost 2 hours on cleaning.
They kept coming out afterwards during the night.
Very unsanitary.
Also, toilet water tank in bathroom was not functional.
The receptionist told us they have no spare rooms and no handy man to repair the toilet water tank until morning.

I stayed at the hotel with my family for 4 nights. I chose a bit more expensive version of the rooms, so we had a small fridge, a hairdryer, a safe, 2 balconies, a kettle, some tea and coffee. It's true, that there isn't air conditioning, but a portable fan. The breakfasts were decent and varied. We just slept at the hotel, so it was perfect. During our visit the rooms were cleaned twice. Why did we chooee this hotel? 1) We travelled with children who need area to run and have fun. Behind the hotel there is a playground and it is in the greenbelt of the town. 2) We travelled by train, and this hotel was very close to Metro C, so with luggage it was the best choice. We used the public transport every day. 3) It was cheaper than the other hotels.

We took a 5 Bed room (it was a corner 3 + 2 room). It seemed like no one rented that room for long time. The Tap was not used for long time it seems as we opened there was dark brown color water flushing out the rust. The Wifi connection was not at all available and we were supposed to use our mobile data. The Staff said "I cant do anything". Overall a ugly hotel.

Hotel Globus is far away from the center. It will take 25 mins in Metro from Prague main station. From the nearest metro it will take 15 min walking to reach hotel. The walk will be between the jungle where you can barely see the street light. We felt unsafe during night to go to hotel with family. The hotel staff is unprofessional and have don’t care attitude. Pathetic service and location. The hotel do not have any hair dryer, the front desk is not co-operative at all. Never ever visit this hotel again and will not recommend to anyone.

Answer from VeronikaN-Manager
Prague, Czech Republic
Dear Mr. Emiliano, regarding your question about wi-fi. We have two types of rooms in the hotel. In the standard rooms, the wi-fi is payed for, it costs 3€ for 24 hours for one device and the password has to be bought at the reception. The rooms of a higher standard have wi-fi for free for as many devices as you need. These rooms are all located in the highest 4th floor of our hotel, they are non-smoking and all have balconies. They are equipped with LCD TV 32“, electric kettle, to which we daily refill coffee, tea, cream and sugar for free. In the bathroom there is soap, liquid soap and shampoo. There are also minibars (consummation is chargeable according to the pricelist). Best regards, Receptionist, Hotel Globus.
