I have just returned from a long weekend in Prague at this hotel and I have a few things I'd like to mention - we paid 909 Kc for the transfer to the hotel from the airport and the driver was rather rude, drove erratically and extremely fast... if you have family I'd avoid the hotel transfer at all costs.... Lovely stay in a lovely hotel. The staff were so friendly and welcoming from the minute we entered to the moment we landed. We had an early flight and although the check in was 2pm the room was ready at 11. Check in was easy and reception was so helpful with getting us to our room quickly and managed to... More

We were staying in this hotel for 2 nights. Location of this hotel is the highlight. It's very well located. A heritage property from the early 1920's but good and clean rooms. They did not have the air conditioning working ( apparently the air conditioning is on only during summers) The breakfast was fantastic. It was my birthday and my... More

This hotel is clean, comfortable, and close to many great places in Prague. You are walking distance from historic Wenceslas Square, and the subway system, across the street from the museum of natural history and the state opera, and a 20 minute walk from the river, the Jewish Quarter, and old town. This is a safe neighborhood, with lots of... More

I just returned from a 3 night stay. I booked 2 rooms. My first impression on arrival was not bad. Then I discovered that a 5 star hotel had one elevator working badly (it was really a nightmare as it was bouncing and rocking like in an amusement park) or not at all. The room was never clean at the... More

We visited this Hotel a few years ago twice. Very clean and staff are allcustomer friendly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. It was in December so we were close to all the amenities and Christmas markets and Wensleslas square and opera house. Highly recommended.

A very charming hotel located close to restaurants and shopping. It is an older hotel with large clean rooms. Breakfast was included and serviced in the dining room and very was very good. Nice place to stay but only one very small elevator so I would stay on a lower level in case you don't want to wait for the... More

The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the main tourist area. It has an "old world" charm. Parking is very conveniently located right in front of the hotel. Breakfast is pretty good. The hotel itself could use a facelift inside. Staff is sometimes very hospitable, sometimes unfriendly.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
