Detailed Reviews
My bed was so comfy, the room was lovely. Hot, powerful shower. Everything in the room felt clean and fresh. I travelled solo and mine was classed as a single room which was spacious with a small double - perfect.
The room was very peaceful but you can hear a constant low buzzing coming from some kind of vent outside which will be heard by many rooms as they formed a kind of courtyard outside. If that kind of thing bothers you, be sure to pack earplugs and that will fix it. The bedroom windows were huge, so the bedroom was wonderfully bright and light and you could open the windows which was lovely. I stayed 7 nights from a Monday. The hotel was very quiet for first 4 nights and breakfast options more limited, but by Friday the hotel was much busier and breakfast options increased probably by 400%. The location is fab, just a short walk outside of the tourist hub so you get to feel more local, but in 5 mins walk you are right at Municipal Hall, powder tower etc. Everything you need is on your doorstep at this hotel. Pharmacy, supermarkets, independent and chain coffee shops, metro etc.
If I come back to Prague, I will stay here again without hesitation.

This Art Deco hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the a landmark known as the "Powder Gate" and so is very handy for exploring Prague. It's on a main street with shops (Lidl) and restaurants around. The room was clean and large enough for 3 and a very large choice of breakfast was included. The price for a triple room was £110 per night which I thought was very good value for money in a capital city.
We were situated at the back of the hotel and it was very quiet.
There was no aircon but fortunately the temperature in late September was around the 20-24C range and so we didn't need it.
A massive choice of breakfast was offered, no croissant and jam here! There were: cereals, yoghurt, bread, jams, bacon, eggs, sausages, rice, tomatoes, bowls of fruit. You couldn't ask for more! I advise going early or later as the dinning room got very busy. However the staff were efficient at clearing dishes away and the door manager got people seated as soon as possible.
Some places would charge 15Euros each for a breakfast like this!! The staff at reception were helpful and I'd definitely stay there again.
The only downer (and it's not that bad), is that if you arrived about 30 minutes after breakfast started, the dining room was full and we had to wait 20 mins for a table....but if you aren't in a rush.....it wouldn't matter.

We stayed at the Axa, last week. The hotel room was clean, comfortable and very functional with tea making facilities and a fridge. Breakfast was included in the price, which was very reasonable. Breakfast included cooked bacon, scrambled eggs, yoghurt, cereal, continental. Tea, coffee, orange juice. Even cake. It was nicely presented and all the staff at the hotel were friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend. The hotel also had a swimming pool and gym.

big rooms and bathrooms with a hot and good water pressure shower. rooms cleaned everyday and given a fresh towel every day. we only got given 1 pillow each but when asked they came and brought us another one straight away. friendly staff with most knowing english so was able to accommodate our needs. lots of storable space in the room and the room came with a mini fridge and kettle with coffee and tea provided. the hotel was in a brilliant location right in the centre. it was a 5 minute walk away from old town square and a 15 min walk from charles bridge. the hotel was also a 25 minute drive away from the airport although old town square got very busy on the week days. only downside to this hotel is the breakfast. not a lot of options and the food just wasn’t to our taste. wouldn’t recommend getting breakfast with your stay and just buying something from the supermarket or mcdonald’s (which are both next door). overall i would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone wanting to stay in a hotel in the city centre for a good price.

Really Nice Hotel, strategically located, in 10/15 minutes walking you can reach the city centre and all the most important attractions in Prague. You have inside, also the possibility, to go to the pool or the gym.
The staff is very welcoming and so nice.
highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at AXA! They have done a great job preserving the history and story of the hotel. Breakfast is included and was a great way to start the day. It is very close to so many attractions, restaurants, shopping and transportation. We purchased a pass for the tram and subway system and the stop is literally out the front door of the hotel. The hotel front desk staff is very helpful (especially Jana) at helping you with your plans. I felt very safe popping out to the convenience store for a snack anytime day or night. The hotel is kept very clean and is a great place to relax after so much walking.

Stayed at the axa for 4 nights . Nice location about 15 minute walk to main square . Hotel clean , quite basic and breakfast ok . There was a gym and swimming pool but we didn’t use them . Room was cleaned daily and fresh towels given . Hotel suited us as all we did was sleep there as we were busy all day . We requested a quiet room as had read other reviews were people had mentioned the street noise this was given and I slept well . We only used the bar once which again was ok !! It’s a kind of you get what you pay for which was what we were expecting. Hotel absolutely fine just nothing special.Would have no problem staying there again .

My flight was delayed due to a storm. I emailed the AXA hotel to let them know I will arrive after midnight. The hotel staff not only kept my room, but also arranged for a car to come and collect me from the airport in the middle of the night so I will arrive safely. Roman who was working at reception that night showed exceptional professionalism. I definitely recommend the hotel, it is in a great location, clean and safe, but most importantly the personnel are fantastic people.

You get, what you pay for. This hotel is okay, but I Would never stay there again. Why? Because the parking was expensive, their was trafficnoise and the breakfast was so borring. Actually is was the most dry hotelbreakfast we ever got, and it was not coronafriendly. The pool is a public swimmingpool, so it’s not a pool for playing. The location is Ok, but you can find it so much better. The rooms were large, so was the bathroom, and we liked the style.

Dear Family Andersen, thank you for your reservation in AXA Hotel and for your time when reviewing our property. We are sorry to read that we haven ´t fulfilled your expectations. The parking for our hotel guests is possible in the Garages U Hájků which are nearby for the rate of 25 EUR per day. This price is similar to any other European hotels located in the city centre. Unfortunately, there is no option to park for free if looking for the centre parking possibilites. The breakfast is served partly as a continental with a small corona-friendly buffet to meet all the hygienic measures and restrictions to protect our guest´s and employee´s health. The pool is 25 metres indoor swimming pool with 6 lines designed primarily for swimming not for playing which is not possible not only because of the other clients but of its depth either. Best regards Marta Šumerová, AXA Hotel

We checked in late at night. Got a bolt from the airport (highly recommended). Checked in fine and rooms are basic but okay.
Showers lovely and nice clean and comfy beds. We stayed two nights. Had a very early start for a train over to Budapest.. 7 hour journey. We arranged (or thought we did) two breakfast bags. We were shown the receipt and it was all ordered. We therefore only bought water as we expected food for our train ride.
We got to check out and we're told 'he wrote it down but no order. Kitchen isn't open yet. I will write note for manager.'
Basically no food or anything , no matter how basic was available for us to take. The snow was very heavy and no bakeries were open. The lack of communication and miss information meant we were out of pocket but also had no food for our trip. It was too early for any shops to be open and it made us stressed along with the heavy snow and journey to the station. Our visit to Prague was amazing but really didn't appreciate thw mess we got left in on our check out. With no apology or even some basic calories offered to send us on our way. Even an apple or a drink from the reception fridge would have been a little gesture for the guys mess up who gaves us empty promises resulting in unnecessary stress for our journey.
