    Incredible hotel (worth the hype!)
Believe all the positive reviews, this place is amazing! Located in a quiet street, Unitas Hotel is close to public transportation (metro and trams) and to major attractions (you can definitely walk if the weather allows you to). Rooms are VERY spacious, clean, comfortable and cozy. Every place of the building is quite charming. The breakfast buffet has a good quantity of options and everything tasted good. Service was great overall. Stop looking for accommodation in Prague. You’ve found it. This is it.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review of our hotel. We are happy to hear that you have enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you again in the future!

    EXCELLENT HOTEL IN CENTRAL PRAGUE
We stayed in this excellent hotel for nine days. Unitas Hotel is situated in the historical centre of Prague. All sites you may want to visit are within reach by foot, tram or metro. Or just allow yourself to get lost in the small streets, alleys and passages. After a rewarding walk or tour it is a pleasure to return to Unitas Hotel and it's pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. You will always be welcomed with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. In Covid-19 times they have a strict approach to hygiene and social distancing, without budging from their service. The services are immaculate. Every hotel should have this standard of their staff. Always prepared to complete your wishes. Our room was spacy and nicely furnished, and very comfortable. It faced the courtyard/patio and was very calm and pleasant, with a spacious bathroom with bathtub. The beds are very comfortable and the bed linen of high quality. The breakfast room is nice and cozy with a full and generous buffet, all servd in accordance with the present Corona situation, a brilliant solution! The lobby is spacious and inviting. And there is a huge lounge where you may relax and maybe make your own tea or coffee. If you arrive to Prague Airport Ruzyně we strongly recommend the taxi service of the hotel. Best wishes Bertil Falkenström and Kim Öhman Helsingborg, Sweden

Excellent hotel in historic building with world-class service
We stayed for 5 nights at the Unitas during our whirlwind tour of Europe and it was a wonderful experience from arrival to departure. The staff throughout were kind and professional, and you could tell they really had your best interests and experience in mind. Our room was on the second floor. We received an upgraded suite as a bonus, which included a complimentary bottle of Czech wine (which was pretty good!), and a larger bed which is two twins smashed together. The beds and pillows were comfortable and we got a good nights sleep with no back issues. The suites are very quiet, and the windows open so you can get some fresh air. A bird was building a nest on the top of the building and used our window sill as a pitstop to take a break while carrying sticks up top, it was really cute. The history of the hotel is super interesting, be sure to visit their website and read about it. The included breakfast is excellent, with very friendly service staff, and a full menu from cereal to eggs to croissants to pancakes and everything in between. Coffee is served at the table, the rest is buffet style. You would be hard pressed to leave it hungry or disappointed! The location of the hotel also can’t be beat. You’re right in the heart of Old Town, near the square, astronomical clock, Charles Bridge, and so much more. Most key sights are a walk or a quick tram ride away. Overall it was an excellent value and we would definitely stay there again on our next visit to Prague.

We are currently staying at the Unitas Hotel and would highly recommend staying here. The staff at reception are incredibly friendly and welcoming even offering a free sparkling wine during the check in. The room is very spacious and the staff really do a great job of cleaning the room. The only issue I would say is the Wi-Fi where it will log you out after a certain amount of time. Other than that, this is an incredible place to stay in Prague!

Clean hotel rooms with very friendly front desk assistants who recommended some good places to eat and drink around their location. The hotel is situated near the police station, which at first we thought was strange, but it was a quiet little street that we always felt safe walking out day or night.

We have stayed at this hotel 4 times and have always had a great experience. Unfortunately, the service and level of quality has gone down hill considerably since our last visit. I am not sure if the management has changed but this is not the Unitis that we once knew and loved. We chose to return once again to our once favorite hotel in Prague to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Unfortunately, we ended up staying and suffering for one night and had to move to another hotel. When we checked in our room was noticeably hot and humid and had a musty smell. We assumed that the room was warm due to them not having the air conditioning running so we turned it up to the maximum cooling temperature and left to enjoy some of our favorite spots in the city. When we returned around 4:30pm we were quite upset to find the room still uncomfortably warm and humid with a musty smell. We decided we couldn’t stay as it would be difficult to get a good nights sleep. I spoke to the hotel clerk and was shown another room, which felt similarly uncomfortable temperature wise. We decided that since the rooms were uncomfortably warm we would not be able to sleep in the hotel . The hotel manager said he had no other complaints and that we would have to pay for the night. He said that if we complained within the first hour we could have had our money back. We didn’t complain right away as we figured the room would cool off after the air conditioning was running for a few hours. If I knew we would be forced to stay in a room that we would end up sleeping in sweat and tossing and turning all night I would have refused the room immediately. I assumed the quality of customer care was the same as our previous visits but this hotel has obviously gone down hill since our last visit. Additionally, the once phenomenal breakfast has also declined in quality and choice . While it was not bad by any means, the choice and quality was not what it once was. It also seems that the rooms are not as well appointed as they once were . The “king bed “ was 2 twin beds pushed together, which only added to the uncomfortable experience. We ended up finding another hotel where the rooms were cool and comfortable and the service phenomenal. I will write a separate review about this hotel in a different post as I am not looking to pit one hotel against the other. I just feel it is my duty to report my latest experience with this hotel as I had written glowing reviews in the past and, unfortunately, the high standard of quality and focus on customer satisfaction is no longer what it once was as the manager did not show the slightest concern for the poor experience we had. You would think that he would have taken the word of repeat guests but he said there were no other complaints so he basically treated us like we were lying … We were there for our 5th visit to their hotel but this time out of the blue we decided to make up a story so that we could spend part of our 20th anniversary searching for another hotel and have to repack and walk through the streets of Prague with all of our luggage???? It is quite sad as this was once our “ go to” hotel in Prague and now we will never return .

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent experience in Unitas Hotel. Naturally we are very disappointed to have a repeat customer leaving us dissatisfied and looking for alternative accommodation. However we believe that in this instance we provided the customer with fair treatment and services that were up to our usual standards as described in the other overwhelmingly positive reviews. Well aware that this was a repeat customer these guests were given a free upgrade to a Junior Suite. Access to the room was provided shortly after 10 AM. Upon receiving the first complaint about air conditioning and air quality around 5 PM the guests were offered a different room without question. Prior to that the new room was inspected and the air conditioning was found in fully functional condition and already running for an extended amount of time so the room was considerably cooler than the surrounding temperatures. Unfortunately this alternative room was rejected with similar reasoning. Perhaps this was down to a combination of the very unpleasant hot weather in Prague on those days and the respiratory problems the guest mentioned during their complaint. Unfortunately at that point we were out of options as no other rooms were available. Since by that time the original room was occupied for a significant amount of time the guests were asked to pay for the first night in case they decided to leave and look for a different hotel. Prior to and since their stay we have received no other complaints about air conditioning or air quality from other customers staying in those same two rooms making it very difficult to identify the issue.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. Hotel was really nice, with afternoon tea and snacks being served daily. My room was absolutely huge! Location of the hotel was fantastic - right in the border of old town and new town, so access to all sites and attractions was very easy. Also, a very reasonable price.

A very comfortable 4 night stay. Pleasant and helpful staff; room and public areas spotlessly clean. Just bliss being able to have windows open at night for cool air but with no street noise. Room was spacious; bathroom had shower over deep bath which seems quite common in Europe. Breakfast was excellent with wide range of foods and all fresh. The location is perfect - in a quiet street and all the main sights are within easy walking distance. The trams and metro are close (Narodni trida stop) with a shopping centre and a Billa supermarket on lower ground level. I followed the hotel's instructions on using the tram from main train station to hotel and it was really easy. I highly recommend the Unitas Hotel.

We loved this hotel. What a wonderful experience! The staff were so friendly and professional. The breakfast was amazing (best I’ve ever had at a hotel). My luggage was lost and the staff called the airport twice daily. They took such good care of us. The building is beautiful and the location was perfect (central but quiet). We loved all of the staff but Veronika was extra helpful.

This place was amazing. There was tons of character, which is important to me in a hotel in a historic city. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. The breakfasts were delicious. I did have 2 minor complains which were that the room was too warm and the Wi-Fi was spotty and often worked for 20 minutes and then didn’t work. But even with those 2 minor issues, the place was incredible. I’d stay there again in a heartbeat.
