Nestled in a serene atmosphere adorned with real plants, the Unitas Hotel is a peaceful refuge celebrated for its spacious rooms and prime location bridging the old and new towns. While guests consistently commend the hotel for its cleanliness and the professionalism of its staff, some have noted a variance in room temperature and decor standards. The quality breakfast and overall value of the hotel come highly recommended, though there are isolated mentions of service decline and room comfort concerns.

Believe all the positive reviews, this place is amazing!
Located in a quiet street, Unitas Hotel is close to public transportation (metro and trams) and to major attractions (you can definitely walk if the weather allows you to).
Rooms are VERY spacious, clean, comfortable and cozy. Every place of the building is quite charming.
The breakfast buffet has a good quantity of options and everything tasted good. Service was great overall.
Stop looking for accommodation in Prague. You’ve found it. This is it.

We stayed in this excellent hotel for nine days. Unitas Hotel is situated in the historical centre of Prague. All sites you may want to visit are within reach by foot, tram or metro. Or just allow yourself to get lost in the small streets, alleys and passages.

After a rewarding walk or tour it is a pleasure to return to Unitas Hotel and it's pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. You will always be welcomed with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. In Covid-19 times they have a strict approach to hygiene and social distancing, without budging from their service.

The services are immaculate. Every hotel should have this standard of their staff. Always prepared to complete your wishes.
Our room was spacy and nicely furnished, and very comfortable. It faced the courtyard/patio and was very calm and pleasant, with a spacious bathroom with bathtub. The beds are very comfortable and the bed linen of high quality.

The breakfast room is nice and cozy with a full and generous buffet, all servd in accordance with the present Corona situation, a brilliant solution!

The lobby is spacious and inviting. And there is a huge lounge where you may relax and maybe make your own tea or coffee.

If you arrive to Prague Airport Ruzyně we strongly recommend the taxi service of the hotel.

Best wishes

We stayed for 5 nights at the Unitas during our whirlwind tour of Europe and it was a wonderful experience from arrival to departure. The staff throughout were kind and professional, and you could tell they really had your best interests and experience in mind. Our room was on the second floor. We received an upgraded suite as a bonus, which included a complimentary bottle of Czech wine (which was pretty good!), and a larger bed which is two twins smashed together. The beds and pillows were comfortable and we got a good nights sleep with no back issues. The suites are very quiet, and the windows open so you can get some fresh air. A bird was building a nest on the top of the building and used our window sill as a pitstop to take a break while carrying sticks up top, it was really cute. The history of the hotel is super interesting, be sure to visit their website and read about it. The included breakfast is excellent, with very friendly service staff, and a full menu from cereal to eggs to croissants to pancakes and everything in between. Coffee is served at the table, the rest is buffet style. You would be hard pressed to leave it hungry or disappointed! The location of the hotel also can’t be beat. You’re right in the heart of Old Town, near the square, astronomical clock, Charles Bridge, and so much more. Most key sights are a walk or a quick tram ride away. Overall it was an excellent value and we would definitely stay there again on our next visit to Prague.

My friend and I both loved this hotel, from friendly and warm service to cleanliness of the rooms.
We each got a room with a complimentary wine and room upgrade; this made us feel welcomed from the start.
Staff is very friendly and accommodating. On-site parking is limited but we were lucky we are able to park our car there.
Location is excellent, walking distance to all main attractions.
We would definitely return to this hotel because it hard to find good quality places nowadays.

Believe the reviews folks. I stayed at this hotel for four nights in April of 2022. I booked a single room but was given a double room at check in. Everything about this hotel was fantastic. The staff at the front desk were universally friendly and knowledgeable. The lobby and common areas were beautiful and always spotless. My room was HUGE by European standards, with a large entryway with an armoire, a fridge with a countertop and a luggage rack. There was a kettle with coffee and tea, wine glasses, and minibar amenities. The bathroom was also very large, with a tub that was deep enough to completely cover me in water. The bedroom was bigger than my bedroom at home, with a soft and comfy bed, a comfy chair, a desk with a chair, and another table under the wall mounted TV. It was just overall a very large and comfortable room to come back to after a long day. The air conditioning didn't seem to be very strong, but it was cool enough that opening a window kept the room at a nice temperature.
The hotel breakfast was awesome, and I ate it all four mornings. They had a nice variety of breakfast meats, eggs, cheese, yogurt and breads, as well as more unique things like tomato mozzarella salad, grilled zucchini, crepes, green apple juice and an amazing fruit salad. It was SO good. The ladies who handled the breakfast area were very prompt with refilling the foods, and it felt like dining in a real restaurant instead of at a hotel breakfast bar.
The location of this hotel is almost as perfect as you can get for a tourist in Prague. Almost everything you'd want is within a 20 minute walk of the hotel, including the entire Old Town and Jewish Quarter, the entire Charles Bridge and Mala Strana neighborhood, all of Petrin Hill, and all of the New Town and Wenceslaus Square. I literally never had to take public transportation anywhere except to the train station since it was easier to just walk everywhere. There's a Tesco nearby as well as the amazing Havelske Trziste market, which is about a five minute walk away. The astronomical clock is about a ten minute or less walk. There are multiple tram stops in the area as well if you need them, including Narodni Trida and Narodni Divadlo.
I've traveled a lot, and this is almost as perfect of a hotel experience as you can get. I will 100% stay at this hotel if I visit Prague again, and I don't even care what they charge. I'll pay it because I know it's a great place to stay.

The Unitas is within walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do. The building is historic so each of the 4 rooms we had were laid out differently. All were spacious and had comfortable beds. Our room had a soaker tub with a hand-held shower which was fine but it was a big step out of the tub - ask for a room with a standard shower if you are unstable or short. The breakfast was excellent - fresh fruit, baked goods, yogurt, cereals, cheeses, omelettes to order. The staff is very friendly and helpful. As others have mentioned, there are a few small, local bars down the street, but friends with rooms on the street didn’t mention hearing any noise. There are lots of rooms off the street, though. I highly recommend the Unitas for location, value, staff, and historical character.

We have stayed at this hotel 4 times and have always had a great experience. Unfortunately, the service and level of quality has gone down hill considerably since our last visit. I am not sure if the management has changed but this is not the Unitis that we once knew and loved. We chose to return once again to our once favorite hotel in Prague to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Unfortunately, we ended up staying and suffering for one night and had to move to another hotel. When we checked in our room was noticeably hot and humid and had a musty smell. We assumed that the room was warm due to them not having the air conditioning running so we turned it up to the maximum cooling temperature and left to enjoy some of our favorite spots in the city. When we returned around 4:30pm we were quite upset to find the room still uncomfortably warm and humid with a musty smell. We decided we couldn’t stay as it would be difficult to get a good nights sleep. I spoke to the hotel clerk and was shown another room, which felt similarly uncomfortable temperature wise. We decided that since the rooms were uncomfortably warm we would not be able to sleep in the hotel . The hotel manager said he had no other complaints and that we would have to pay for the night. He said that if we complained within the first hour we could have had our money back. We didn’t complain right away as we figured the room would cool off after the air conditioning was running for a few hours. If I knew we would be forced to stay in a room that we would end up sleeping in sweat and tossing and turning all night I would have refused the room immediately. I assumed the quality of customer care was the same as our previous visits but this hotel has obviously gone down hill since our last visit.
Additionally, the once phenomenal breakfast has also declined in quality and choice . While it was not bad by any means, the choice and quality was not what it once was.
It also seems that the rooms are not as well appointed as they once were . The “king bed “ was 2 twin beds pushed together, which only added to the uncomfortable experience.
We ended up finding another hotel where the rooms were cool and comfortable and the service phenomenal. I will write a separate review about this hotel in a different post as I am not looking to pit one hotel against the other. I just feel it is my duty to report my latest experience with this hotel as I had written glowing reviews in the past and, unfortunately, the high standard of quality and focus on customer satisfaction is no longer what it once was as the manager did not show the slightest concern for the poor experience we had. You would think that he would have taken the word of repeat guests but he said there were no other complaints so he basically treated us like we were lying … We were there for our 5th visit to their hotel but this time out of the blue we decided to make up a story so that we could spend part of our 20th anniversary searching for another hotel and have to repack and walk through the streets of Prague with all of our luggage????
It is quite sad as this was once our “ go to” hotel in Prague and now we will never return .

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent experience in Unitas Hotel. Naturally we are very disappointed to have a repeat customer leaving us dissatisfied and looking for alternative accommodation. However we believe that in this instance we provided the customer with fair treatment and services that were up to our usual standards as described in the other overwhelmingly positive reviews. Well aware that this was a repeat customer these guests were given a free upgrade to a Junior Suite. Access to the room was provided shortly after 10 AM. Upon receiving the first complaint about air conditioning and air quality around 5 PM the guests were offered a different room without question. Prior to that the new room was inspected and the air conditioning was found in fully functional condition and already running for an extended amount of time so the room was considerably cooler than the surrounding temperatures. Unfortunately this alternative room was rejected with similar reasoning. Perhaps this was down to a combination of the very unpleasant hot weather in Prague on those days and the respiratory problems the guest mentioned during their complaint. Unfortunately at that point we were out of options as no other rooms were available. Since by that time the original room was occupied for a significant amount of time the guests were asked to pay for the first night in case they decided to leave and look for a different hotel. Prior to and since their stay we have received no other complaints about air conditioning or air quality from other customers staying in those same two rooms making it very difficult to identify the issue.

This hotel was conveniently located in Old Town Prague within walking distance of many sites. The staff was friendly and helpful. The building has a very interesting history. The breakfast, included in our room, was varied and plentiful, and good quality. The only things preventing me from giving them 5 stars - the wifi was spotty and frustrating, and the sheets on our bed were pilled and somewhat scratchy. Having said that, we would return.

Fantastic value for money.
Large breakfast with many options.
Large rooms and bathrooms with far more space than strictly necessary, we booked a room and received what could be called an apartment which was lovely.
The furnishings in the shared areas are very modern and luxurious, in the rooms it has a little more of a dated feel due to the tiles and carpets however the beds are extremely comfortable and the bedding is high quality. We enjoyed our stay and would gladly visit again.
The hotel is conveniently located for walking to all the attractions.

This hotel is central and only a 10 minute walk to everything you want to see . Reserved parking is available which was a big plus for me and only 25 euro's per night which I thought was very reasonable . This hotel has some history as it was a monestary years ago and was renovated into a hotel . Rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and very clean . Staff and front desk were very helpful answering all of our questions . Breakfast buffet was great and also at a reasonable price of 15 euros per person . This is the hotel you want to stay at while visiting Prague . I highly recommend and will be staying here again when we return to this beautiful city . Thanks Unitas Hotel !
