This is a great place to stay. We come to Prague regularly and, if unable to book into Unitas, we stay at a few different places, but Unitas is by far our favourite. It is not glitzy but pleasant, really quite understated. It is in a phenomenal location. It is located a few minutes from the Old Town Square and... More

The hotel was formerly a Convent and in the 50's converted to the Secret Police Headquarters. Today it is a stunningly beautiful hotel in the Old Town of Prague. The rooms are spacious and clean. Service was excellent. The staff provided helpful recommendations on restaurants and places to see. Breakfast was unbelievable. In a small space, food of all varieties... More

Helpful staff, great location, stately but plain hotel, great breakfast. Nice buffet but also an omelet bar where its all fresh. The room (suite) was large with high ceilings, but absolutely no color or artwork anywhere. Very plain. Still, quite comfortable.

This was our 2nd stay at the unitis hotel and it was just as lovely as the last visit. The hotel is immaculately clean . The staff is friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffet is the best we have seen in all of Europe !!! Excellent location about an easy 5-7 minute stroll to the center old town square... More

I have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Unitas Hotel in Prague. Everything about our stay was superb from arrival (where we were welcomed with sparkling wine) to departure. The room was faultless, staff were very helpful and friendly and breakfast was one of the best I've had in a hotel. I would not think twice about... More

Reception was wonderful; double deluxe rooms were spacious and clean; location was perfect-close to Old Town and Charles Bridge, but not too close. The street where it is located is not very appealing, but inside is very nice with a modern, uncluttered feel. It was completely renovated in 2007, after a long history of other uses including a convent and... More

Stayed here earlier in the year and the hotel was great. Rooms were large and the breakfasts were really good. All the staff, from those on reception to the young ladies who served breakfast were excellent, being efficient, polite and very helpful. Well done and thank you.

We stayed here for 3 nights in July and had a wonderful time at the hotel. The room is exceedingly spacious, and faced the inner courtyard so it was nice and quiet - this enabled us to sleep off our jet lag. The hotel is very clean and well kept, and the breakfast (which was included in our rate) was... More

Chose this hotel based on reviews and location, it was a good choice. Stayed there with friends the week of July 4, 2016. The car ride in from the airport, which the hotel arranged, was good, cost was 900E for 4 of us plus bags. As we arrived we were provided with a drink of welcome, very nice wine and... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
