Thought I'd write my review of my girlfriend & I first trip to Prague. Got picked up at the Airport by holidaytaxis.com - would recommend this service to anyone - nice big mercedes to pick us up, the guy was very friendly and showed us the sights on the way telling us the easiest way to get to places etc....

I stayed at this hotel from 16th - 19th November 2006 with my Mum, Brother and Fiance for his 30th birthday celebrations. We arrived late at night to the hotel but this was no problem. The front desk staff were very pleasant and polite and showed us maps of the city and tours available; they even advised us where we...

I have stayed in many hotels around the world and this would have to rate as one of the most disappointing ever. The rooms, although clean, were dingy and dark. Our room in particular only had a very small window that looked onto a brick wall four foot from the window. However, I can overlook most things if I get...

In a very good position, near Old Town Square and short walk to Charles Bridge. We had spacious room on the third floor at the front, with tea and coffee making facilities in the room. No noise at all from the street. The weather was very cold but the hotel was warm and comfortable. We used the car service from...

We chose this hotel based on the glowing reviews it had received on this website - and whilst we certainly weren't disappointed with the location (just 100 yards from the Powder Tower - very close indeed to all of the major sights - excellent) the hotel itself wasn't, from our point of view, quite all it was cracked up to...

Booked this hotel based on this web site and was not dissapointed. Excellent location from all the main tourist sites. You can walk to any of the main locations, but wear sensible footware as the cobblestones take their toll! The staff are very friendly and you are able to leave your luggage there when you have checked out. They can...

We booked this trip as a birthday treat for my Dad's 60th birthday in early December 2005. Having previously stayed in the Zizkov area of Prague a few years previously, we were keen to get closer into the main hubbub of the city, especially given the time of year we were going. We found the Meteor through Expedia and as...

This was a great hotel, clean and perfect location. You will be very happy with your stay at this hotel, it is a 2 minute walk to the center of town, with a great breakfast, clean rooms and very reasonable price. I booked directly with Best Western.

This was our second trip to Prague. When we return, we will absolutely stay in this hotel again. We were two young couples travelling with small children -- and the hotel met our needs. Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
