Where do I start firstly thank you very much to the fantastic staff, I was a complete fool and left my phone in the taxi on arrival the staff were amazing and had my phone back to by 2pm in the afternoon. I forgot to pick up the room deposit on checking out the hotel, again the staff were amazing and went out there way to help and bank transferred the deposit into my account. I am so thankful for the help of the staff. The hotel is lovely we had a lovely room over looking a water feature the rooms are spotless clean to a very high standard, I loved the traditional feel the hotel has make you feel relaxed and the breakfast caters for all tastes and was delicious every morning and very enjoyable.
I can’t wait to return and would like to again thank everyone for there help what a gem of a hotel.

I definitely suggest staying at the Best Western Plus Hotel Meteor Plaza because of its comfortable rooms, its friendly staff, and its great breakfast. But above I suggest staying there above all for its location, just outside the walls of the old town, in front of the Powder Tower. I loved staying there because despite being close to the city center, it is not impacted by the crowd and the messy traffic of tourists of the center.

We stayed here for 3 nights in September, 2023. We chose this property due to price, a king bed, and a great location. It is a short walk to the main train station, and you can see the Powder Tower when you step out the front door of the hotel. We were in room 323. This older property has 2 small elevators that hold 4 people or 2 with luggage. Room 323 requires another 1/2 flight of stairs even if the elevator is used. The view is the inner courtyard as is very quiet. The room is big, with a king bed (with 2 duvet covers) a desk and chair, plus an additional cushioned side chair. Each side of the bed has a large pillow and a smaller pillow. The room has air conditioning. There is only a power outlet on one side of the bed, while we prefer power on each side. We hung our bath towels up each night to help conserve, but the thin towels were still replaced each day. The front desk persons spoke English and were very friendly. The breakfast at this property was excellent. Lots of variety, with meats, cheese, breads, yogurts, pastries, eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit and porridge. The staff kept the area clean and breakfast foods replenished. I recommend this property.

A few weeks ago, we stayed at this hotel, but our last night was marred by an unexpected incident. We were surprised to find a letter under our door, demanding a significant cleaning fee. The letter lacked any specific addressee or signature. Despite numerous discussions with the reception staff, both that evening and the next morning, we received no clear explanation or evidence (such as photos or reports) of what specific cleaning was necessary. When we persisted, the hotel reduced the charge to 100€, but threatened to contact our travel agency if we refused to pay. Needing to head to the airport, we reluctantly paid the fee. Later, even after contacting our travel agency, the hotel insisted on keeping the 100€ charge, despite room cleaning supposedly included in our stay. I want to warn others planning to book this hotel to be cautious at check-in. This appears to be a strategy to extract additional fees from guests.

Dear guest, I am sorry to hear that even now, several weeks after your stay and several discussions on this topic, you feel a need to bring this issue up again. However, let me follow up and once again clearly explain the meaning of the extra cleaning fee and to give the travellers chance to see the case from the hotel point of view so they can have a full picture. It is true that the regular housekeeping cleaning is a standard and part of the accommodation service which guests pay for at a 4* hotel. However I must point out that this was not the case of your stay, when your room was found during your stay by our housekeeper in extremely bad condition due to a terrible smell of vomits and damaged towels and carpet. This has clearly been explained to you on the spot on both Saturday and Sunday by our associates and the 100EUR cleaning fee was applied to cover the several carpet cleanings etc. Just for your information, after your departure the room had to be blocked for couple of days as we were unable to sell it further due to a heavy smell and even after one week of intensive cleaning and ventilation, the whole carpet had to be changed in order to be able to return the room back to sale. Therefore I would consider the 100EUR cleaning fee as a minimum if you consider the lost revenue and further expenses you have caused us by the damage. I truly hope that the above mentioned clearly explains the details of the case which is considered from our side as closed. Regards, Jana Bursova, Resident manager

Comfortable hotel for short stay to discover Prague. The location is good, not far from Old Town Square and you can walk to Charles bridge and other sights. Close to metro and tram stops, shops and restaurants. Breakfast was tasteful, only tables were too close to each other in the hotel restaurant.
The aroma of flowers followed me almost everywhere when I was walking in the hotel.

Everything was amazing, the bed and the pillows were really comfortable, the room in general was big enough for two and the breakfast was really good! Everyday cleaning and changing towels if you want to!You just have to leave them in the bathtub(many people don't read the notes over the toilet) . If ever get back in Prague I will prefer it again!

This Hotel is in a perfect location: practically in front of the Powder Tower, therefore a stone's throw from the center but without being in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Furthermore, in the nearby square, which is that of the beautiful Town Hall, the subway arrives and the tourist buses leave. So really convenient location for everything. The rooms have the right size (at the end, you are only there to sleep…) and the cleaning is ok. The breakfast is really varied and plentiful, both for savory and sweet foods and the breakfast room is very large and with a lot of staff, so at any time you go down there is never a queue. The reception staff is very courteous and smiling and this is always a very welcome thing. Even after check-out, the hotel offers free luggage storage, so those who have time can still take a tour of the city (before going to the airport) without taking all the luggage with them. Great!

We stayed in this hotel Saturday ~ Monday. Arriving from the airport we headed straight to our hotel arriving an hour earlier than check in time. We was pleased to be told our room was ready and we was allowed to check in early to drop off our bags and head off to explore this wonderful city.

We dropped our bags into our room, ate the chocolate off our pillows.

Our room was a standard triple with a queen bed.

The room was large, plenty of storage and space. The window overlooked a courtyard, but we’re didn’t stay here for the window view. More the location and the short distance it is from old town square.

The receptionists were pleasant and helpful, they answered all our queries,

The breakfast buffet was great with a good selection of food, including cold cuts of meat and cheese. Cereals and the usual juices and pastries and hot dishes… bacon eggs etc.

We didn’t check the spa in the hotel, I believe it was closed during our visit.

Excellent location to tour the city by foot or by tram. It is also 10mns away from the AE bus stop from/to airport and the Florenc bus station to visit other cities (we went to Karlovy Vary/Carlsbad).
We enjoyed : the perfect buffet breakfast, the quiet, cleanliness, bedding, water pressure, bathroom mirror lighting, kettle and fridge, very amiable staff.
On the low side: our room only had 1 window (most have 2…) and was too dark for me. Lighting in the room was not enough and lacked central command. TV had very few non-Czech channels. But downers were not enough to lose a star for the dollar-value was great.

Helpful staff, traditional decor ( not to everyone’s taste) but the comfiest bed & pillows, modern & spacious bathroom . Aircon & free use of a safe.
Minibar in the room . We had a lovely room overlooking the courtyard.
Brilliantly located for the old town 2 min walk to the gunpowder tower.
And 5 min walk to the metro which you can use to get to the airport.
Breakfast was excellent & varied each day. Room was cleaned every day.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.
We also took the advantage of booking the on-site spa we got 50% off because we were guests .
