Don't be put off by the name. The Red Lion Restaurant is beautiful and intimate. 50Kč bread charge. Goulash for starter followed by grilled beef fillet wrapped in bacon in pepper sauce. My wife had the roasted pork in gravy with white cabbage and potato dumplings which she said was very nice. 1 hit apple strudel with whipped cream (sorry no picture)1 large beer, 1 small beer and 2 coke's and the bill came to 1400Kč then you add the 10% service charge on. All in all a very nice meal in cosy surroundings and at a reasonable price. Recommended 👍
Great hotel in close proximity to Hradčani. The rooms are clean and reflect a bit of history. Breakfast is excellent, varied, fresh and delicious. The whole origin of the eggs is indicated. The staff are helpful and friendly. The reception desk is located in another building, which is no problem as staff is constantly available. I definitely deeply recommend it.
Myself and my husband went in November to celebrate my birthday and when we arrived at our hotel it was around 7pm we asked at our hotel for a recommendation for somewhere nice to eat and they recommend here as it was close to where we stayed, we enjoyed it so much that out of the 7 evening meals we had in Prague we had 5 of them here, the service was exceptional and Pavel & Lia where perfect servers the food was hot and very filling and we stayed with eating the traditional cuisine and it didnt disappoint, I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant if your in the area and give the local cuisine a go 😊
What a wonderful hotel, just a 5 minute walk up to Prague castle and 5 minutes down to the Charles bridge. The staff at this hotel are the friendliest I have come across and I have travelled fairly extensively. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone had a smile which felt warm and genuine, rather than forced or tired. The hotel is quaint and original. Highly recommend the restaurant. The food was fabulous and the service 5 star. This is a restaurant, not a tourist trap, and the food was the best we had in 4 days. The room was super clean and beautifully presented, with period furniture and lovely painted ceilings. Not a modern, mirrored cube, with no personality. If we come back to Prague I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
