Best place to stay in Prague. Period! This place is paradise. Michael, Monica and Jacob were amazing hosts; the friendliest welcome we have had in years. 5 minutes walk to Tram to city center or an easy downhill walk (10 minutes to Prague Castle or 20 minutes to Charles Bridge) to main sights. Quiet. Peaceful. Nice snack bar and fabulous breakfast.
we´ve got a night at the Hotel u Raka as a present.. And we truly enjoyed it.. It´s hard to believe that You´re still in Prague, it looks more like in a fairy tale village. We go frequently to the Novy svet (we love the Kavarna Novy Svet), but it was our first time to enjoy it in the evening. And the Hotel U Raka really deserves the adjectiv "romantic". The whole Hotel and his surroundings and garten looks fantastic, beautiful rooms, nice staff.. I live in Prague, so I´ll have no many possibilities to enjoy it again, but it´s a perfect gift. Especially in winter time the atmosphere of this Hotel must be unbeatable. And if it would be possible, I would give 6 stars for the Location.
Discovered this place while on a walk along Novy Svet. We had a relaxed vegetarian lunch (the salad with goat cheese was delicious) in a quaint and romantic setting (think amphoras, stone walls, and garden). Definitely recommend if you want a quiet and delicious meal.
I always wanted to stay in a Victorian house with fireplace and it was my first anniversary surprise by my husband. We stayed for 2 days. The welcome and overall service was great, the interior, exterior is very unique. It's the only hotel with fireplace in Prague. The location is very quite to have your own time. The management is very friendly and helpful. Would love to visit again in future!
Pictures on- line do not do this place justice. It is nestled at the end of a quiet street, close to the Prague castle and great restaurants. Michael, the manager, and his staff went out of their way to see to our comfort and enjoyment of their great city. Breakfast each morning was made to order and the pastries, fruit, cheeses and cold cuts that were also available were outstanding. Highly recommend the Romantic package which included guided tours.
By far the most romantic accommodation in Prague.....Staff are simply amazing and the service is unparalleled. Rooms are clean and spacious..located at 5 mins walk from the Prague castle easily accessible from Charles bridge. Highly recommend this place......
During my visit to Prague in September 2017, I spent 5 nights at Romantik Hotel U Raka. As a solo traveler, I had some concern about the hotel being in a quite area. Michael (the manger) was able to address my concerns from our fist correspondence. He personally picked me up from the airport and also booked a visit INSIDE Strahov Monastery Library(must visit). The hotel is a charming rustic cottage like, quiet and serene. The decent size room was cosy, the bathroom water pressure was good and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance to Strahov Monastery, the Prague Castle and the tramp station is a nice 10 minutes walk. A delightful place to come back to after a long day of walking. The breakfast buffet only serve cold breakfast, but the staff are…
We chose this hotel for our honeymoon & we are so glad that we did. There is not one thing we can fault with this place. The setting was beautiful, the service was second to none & nothing was too much trouble. All the attention to detail made it that extra bit special. The staff were friendly & very helpful. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean, the food was great & location is close enough to Prague castle but nestled in a quiet area. Would recommend this hotel to anyone & would 100% stay there again. Fantastic!!
The manager Micheal is amazing. We were amazed with the service he provided to us. He made the stay more comfortable with guide tours and amazing hotel at good location. The rooms are very comfy and at the best location to stay.
This beautiful small hotel (only 6 rooms) is a hidden gem in a beautiful city. Micheal was amazingly helpful he told us where we could find the best places to eat and how to get from A-B on local transport. The rooms were immaculate and if you are looking for a romantic weekend away this really is the place to go we were celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary and they made it perfect. The breakfast was continental but the cooked your eggs (if you wanted them) perfectly. There are no negative points to this lovely little hotel, we will return.
