Not a lobby as usual. Two lovely places to sit and enjoy art and artbooks. Picking your own drinks. And every day a 'happy hour' with small food/drinks. Very attending and friendly personal Good room. Don't forget to make a reservation at the neighbours: Chez Marcel. A very good restaurant.

We enjoyed four days here, the hotel is quiet, comfortable and very well situated. Breakfast is very good with excellent, friendly staff. The reception staff are a bit dizzy and it took repeated requests before we got our goldfish! Also the orientation tour is a bit of a waste of time, pointing out obvious things like local ATMs and their...

We decided to take a weekend trip to Prague so we wanted a place that was walking distance to everything we could see everything without taking too long to travel around. It was a beautiful hotel. Very clean and the rooms were a really great size. The breakfast was delicious as well. Even down to the weather forecast on the...

Loved everything about this hotel. The room was spacious, quiet and with a lovely high ceiling. The bathroom was beautiful, great shower and Orla Kiely toiletries. We were overlooking the old church with our own balcony. The breakfast was the best I have come across and the attention of the staff was second to none. It is a fabulous hotel...

A short walk from Old Town, Maximilian is a boutique-ish hotel situated in a calm neighborhood. Within easy reach, you can find an array of restaurants (including two of Prague's Michelin stars). The hotel has two parts -- one new and one renovated. Our room was perfect. Large by European standards with modern fixtures. Hotel staff was extremely accommodating. No...

I had not been to Prague for 10 years and last time I went, I had a massage at this hotel. This time we stayed. The staff are so welcoming, quiet rooms, perfect location and a lovely breakfast. Some of the guests were grumpy to say the least but that made it even more fun. Massage was just as good...

I wanted to buy a trip to Prague for my family, especially my mother who would be celebrating her 50th birthday, and so I booked this hotel, not really knowing what exactly to expect. We arrived at Prague Airport on the 11th of March, the flight was supposed to take about 2 hours, but took only 1hour 30minutes, so we...

Maximilian Hotel was a really nice surprise!! I booked this hotel due to some nice reviews I read on the internet. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the bedrooms are extremely, extremely comfortable and cozy! There was plenty of room for our two pieces of big luggage and all the coats we were carrying. The pillows, comforters and the bed...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
