I was so impressed with the staff and facility of this hotel. It was, by far, the best hotel we stayed at during our entire 30 day trip to Europe. Maximilian is superior to all others; great location; great staff who were totally concerned that our stay was perfect!!! The proseco, cake, coffee, and tea was a wonderful addition to...

We stayed here for 6 nights (Jan 1 – Jan 7) and were happy with our choice. In short, friendly staff and hotel is very well located in a small street with tons of restaurants nearby and 7 min walk to Old Town Square. Believe me, you don’t want to stay right in the Old Town Square. Hands-down to the...

Lovely hotel in a great location! Just minutes from all the local hotspots. The beds are huge and really comfy. The only slightly negative point was the breakfast... the buffet items were ok but wasn't a massive fan of the items on the menu. Other than that, perfect hotel!

We spent Christmas in Prague and loved our stay at the Maximilian. Terrific breakfasts, comfy beds, lovely Christmas tree in our room. The front desk staff was very helpful. The location can not be beat. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and would stay again!

I was pleasantly surprised when they gave us an upgrade to a larger room. It was roomy, beds were AMAZING!! Staff was helpful. The location was good but unfortunately we didn't know our way around so we got a little lost. The concierge found us a very reasonable walking tour and we were picked up within 10 minutes. I would...

We stayed here for 4 nights in the middle of December... and I must say it is an awesome hotel. It is in the district 1 which means it's near to almost all the sights and the Christmas Markets, but yet at an area which is not noisy at all, so there weren't any drunkards shouting in the middle of...

I was looking for a hotel for my family that would be within 10-15 minutes walk of the major attractions, but in a quiet place. The Maximilian did not disappoint. Located on the northern side of Old Town, the hotel is within minutes walk of the old Jewish Quarter, two of the three town towers (the other is across the...

Chic, well-priced hotel that has thought of everything to make your stay convenient and comfortable. It's near what would seem to be the border of the main tourist area, making it a perfect place to stay both for proximity to sights and for the quietness of the area at night. Really loved this hotel.

I had 3 nights at this hotel with my husband who was having a work related conference here. Firstly, the location is central and amazing- walking distance from many areas of interest. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Secondly, the breakfast was great. Order off the menu if you like- Eggs Benedict was presented in a very appetising design on the...

I had a feeling I'd booked a special place to stay in Prague when I saw that the Maximilian Hotel offered a Goldfish (named Max) in your room for those that miss their pet(s) back home. But I didn't anticipate how much the hotel would actually BECOME such a fundamental part of my Prague experience. I booked the mini with...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
