Upon check in at the Prague Marriott, we were delighted to find, in our room an overly generous cheese plate with roquefort, brie, St. André, and a muenster-like Czech cheese. Plus, we were given a full-sized bottle of a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. Later that afternoon and into the evening we explored the immediate area around the hotel. The Marriott Prague...

Had a lovely 5 night stay at this centrally located hotel within walking distance of the entire city. My room was well sized and the bed comfortable. Housekeeping tend to start early, they one day knocked on my door at 8am. Lucky to have executive lounge access with a well prepared breakfast and evening food selections to choose from. I...

Nothing wrong with the facilities, rooms, fit out, upkeep, etc of this hotel. Top notch and 5 Stars. But it was a comedy of errors for the service. Firstly we arrived, after an 8+ bus road from Vienna, to find the bedding configuration of the room was completely wrong. (I was travelling with my mom and it was simply a...

My wife and I are seasoned travellers and divide our time between SPG & Marriott hotels around the world. On our first visit to Prague, which I might add is a beautiful city, we had the unpleasant experience of having our room burgled. The thief entered using a key which strongly suggests it was an inside job. Money, ipads, medicine...

In the interest of full disclosure, we are Marriott Platinum Elite members and used points to stay at the Marriott Prague with 11 year old son for 6 nights in November, 2014. Check in was easy - they charge $25USD for rollaway for a child. The manager [in response to a a survey] said this is common for local hotels...

Just like a European Mariott generally is. The room was a bit on the older side but well cleaned everyday during our stay. The internet worked well. There was no issue with security when we stayed as they have apparently installed a card-access system in the elevators. The breakfast was nice, nothing special, breakfast area was very crowded everyday. You...

hotel is within steps of Republic Square and walking distance from many locations.. the area is nice and safe. The hotel staff was accommodating, though a smile can go long ways! for those with access to the Elite members area, the food options are decent.

This Hotel is excellent at all levels. Very clean, comfortable and location could not be better. Executive lounge is one of the best for Marriott. Price is reasonable. Use the hotel cars when available to move you around town when needed.

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
