The location couldn't be better for easy walking access for shopping and sight-seeing. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the hotel was immaculate. However, the hotel is in definite need of renovation. Prague is breathtakingly beautiful and this hotel looks terribly out of place surrounded by all the beauty. It reeks of the 1960's and needs to be in... More

You really can't get a better spot in Prague - all the major sights (except maybe the Castle) are within walking distance. We had a room with a great river view and it was perfectly comfortable although the aircon wasn't the greatest so room was stuffy at times. The hotel is probably getting to the age where it will need... More

I stayed in this hotel around a year ago for one night with my wife. We were on a road trip across Europe and we wanted to stay somewhere special after a long day driving. Check in was fairly non eventful with the receptionist seeming to want to get us checked in as quickly as possible rather than provide information... More

I don't know what we paid for this hotel, as it was all arranged by Viking Tours. The hotel is decent, with a great location by the Jewish Quarter. We found it to be within easy walking distance of the clock square, which in turn is not all that far from the Charles Bridge. Our room was fine, with 2... More

We spent a week in Prague in the Summer of 2014 and enjoyed our stay at the InterContinental. It is located within an easy walk of most attractions. We only had to use public transportation to get to the Castle. The hotel itself is not a spectacular property architecturally. It definitely has a "behind the iron curtain" feel. But the... More

This is nice hotel with excellent services but significant issues force me to give it only 3 stars. First it is HOT in the rooms forcing us to keep the window open all night; that is the only way to turn off the heat. Since it was winter it was cold and left us with a problem,be to hot or... More

looking for excellent service? then stay at this hotel. The excellent service started before we even arrived with email responses from Petr when we arranged for the hotel car to pick us up from the airport, which it did, and we arrived, hassle free, to be greeted by Jarolslav and upgraded to an executive room. The lifts (3 of them),... More

Overall first class. Great service. Excellent breakfast. Close to the main sights and on the river next to a tram stop. Did have a free night due to the travel arrangements so can't really comment on value....

You want to visit Prague as a tourist? Then you want a hotel near the center, so you won't spend all of your time travelling. But too close to the center might be noisy or expensive. This is what makes the Intercontinental Prague a strategic choice: it is located on the edge of the historic center, near the riverbank. The... More

Really nice fresh fruit, breads and cooked food on offer for breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Sunny room (at front of hotel). Great gym. Well placed to walk to attractions. Don't use the laundry service....outrageously expensive.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
