Staré Město (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

This is more like a 3.5. The location of this hotel cannot be beat. We were right next to the Jewish quarter, a five-minute walk from the Rudolfinum, and maybe a seven-minute walk from Old Town Square. It's Prague. It's beautiful. The area is quiet. The hotel is definitely not corporate or cookie-cutter, which is part of its appeal. It almost feels more like an inn than a hotel. The breakfast is very satisfying, and there are several places indoors and out where you can eat. Unfortunately, we were in a room overlooking the courtyard, and the hotel staff would gather before their shift (well before 7) to eat, smoke, and talk, without any regard for guests who were sleeping. If you stay here in the warm months (the hotel -- or at least this room -- was not air conditioned, so we needed the windows open), I would absolutely get a room on the other side of the building. We had booked through Expedia, so may have been automatically shunted to this less desirable location. The room was comfortable, though we found it impossible not to bump into the furniture, some of which they could probably weed out. Less would be more in this case.

This is a perfect hotel to explore Old Town Prague. It is within a 5-7 minute walk to the square but far enough that you are away from the busy tourist areas. We booked the taxi to pick us up at the airport and this was a fantastic way to start our trip. Consider this option when booking the hotel. Note: the taxi charge is paid by you at drop off not the hotel. The hotel is clean, our room was large and looked out on the patio, staff is amazing, and this was the BEST breakfast that we encountered in 21 days in Europe. There is a nice garden to sit and relax or to have dinner. This hotel is an old convent so please note that there are STAIRS and no A/C, while this was not a problem for us if you have mobility issues contact the hotel directly to discuss accommodations. The hotel was very quick to respond to our inquires via email. I would recommend this hotel again.

We booked a triple room via a Jet2 city break . I picked this hotel as the location was excellent for easy walking to the Old Town square , The River , and not too far from Wenceslas Square . The actual location of the hotel is in a secluded , cobbled side street . It’s a quiet place which is ideal , but only minutes from more lively bars and restaurants. We arrived mid morning and the receptionist was friendly and told us we were being allocated a suite on the top floor , as check in was 2pm she stored our bags for us . The friendliness of reception was repeated every time we went in . Our suite was very nice , in character with the age of the hotel , and spotlessly clean . We had 2 bedrooms , a dressing room and a bathroom with a shower over the bath , housekeeping was perfect . Access was 3 floors via a spiral staircase , so those less mobile may not find it so easy . The beds were comfortable and there was air conditioning . The hotel has a nice restaurant for breakfast ( we ate out every night, but the hotel menu looked good ) , and we were able to eat in the outdoor courtyard. Breakfast was a nice buffet affair with all the normal choices hot and cold , coffee was good with cappuccino and espresso from a self serve Delta machine . Reception organised our return taxi , very efficiently, and very reasonably priced in a modern “ people carrier “ My only complaint is that the bar in the hotel closed very early , so it was not possible to take a night cap at the hotel, however this was a minor issue as there were plenty of bars and cocktail bars within 5 minutes walk . We would certainly book a stay here again .

Stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. Staff friendly , great breakfast with lots of choice, nice courtyard for a drink . There is no lift so had to carry luggage upstairs and also no a/c but we knew about these before we went so not a problem for us but maybe for others.

Just left this beautiful hotel after a 5 night stay. It's a great peaceful location but so close to Old Town Square. The staff are friendly, the rooms are cleaned everyday to a great standard by lovely people. Breakfast is 5 star, great choice, great atmosphere. Ate in the restaurant twice for evening meals - food was delicious and served quickly. Very friendly barman called Jakob who was great to chat to and introduced us to a very nice Pear Liqueur. Can't wait to stay here again, it was a relaxing place to stay and discover the amazing city of Prague from. Would highly recommend
