Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at beginning of March. We had 3 double rooms which were all a good size and very clean, fridge in the room along with kettle etc was great though some milk would have been good, no complaints about the room at all. Breakfast was dry nice good choice of food and plenty of it available. Check in was quick no issues although lady on reception was a tad grumpy. All in all a great hotel and would definitely recommend and would return if we go back to Prague. Also location was perfect.
We have just come back from a 3 night Jet2 city break staying at the "Casa Marcello". We had a wonderful time despite mixed weather. The "Casa Marcello" is packed full of character and is tucked away yet conveniently situated for an easy stroll into Old Town Square. We stayed in Room 206 on the top floor. The room was fine overlooking St Agnes Convent. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were fine with plenty of choice and we had dinner there on two occassions which we were very satisfied with. We paid £472 plus about £38 for personal transfers to and from the airport which took about half an hour. We are in our late sixties/early 70's and managed the steps up to our room on the third floor but for those who may not be so mobile I would suggest asking for a room on a lower floor. …
The hotel is well situated for the Old Town, it is quirky in its' layout but that just adds character. It has a rustic old world charm that reflects the area it is in. The staff were generally helpful but the barman/waiter was outstanding and brought life into what could have easily been a dull restaurant - food was very good. The only downside for us was on our last night when there was no heating in our room whatsoever - not good on a cold March night - night reception could do nothing to assist. The following morning was chilly and not helped by the fact we could run no hot water, just luke warm after 15 minutes, we reported this also. On check out the Duty Manager was very apologetic about the water but was genuinely surprised that we had no heat either the previous night, we were offered a complimentary meal but too late as we were leaving. Our experience of Casa Marcello was therefore mixed, some great, some good and some not so good - but the place definitely has character.…
great hotel tucked away just outside the jewish qaurter .quet location but just a short walk to the old town square, river etc. rooms were very clean and the hotel its self very tidy.we did not use the restaurant but was told to be very good but seemed not to busy and the bar closed about 10 so tended to stay out for abit longer.although close to the old town square there are some great bars and restaurants within 5 to 10 minute walk. just opposite is a great bar called special and would recommend a restaerant called katr. also in this area food and drinks are alot cheaper but as good if not better than in town.would definatly recomend this hotel for this reason.would definatly return . also we used prague airport taxis who were supurb
