The Adria Hotel is a green four star Superior hotel on Wenceslas Square in the centre of Prague. The hotel has been in operation for more than a hundred years attracting guests with the quality of its services, its elegant and comfortable interior and friendly atmosphere. A view of the well-maintained Franciscan Garden allows enjoyable rest in connection with nature.
Star ratings are intended to indicate the general level of features, amenities, and services to expect. This property is officially classified according to Hotelstars Union standards.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
The hotel was booked through love holiday as a package holiday. This did not feel like a 4* hotel, more like an average 3* or a very good 2* hotel.
PROs: - the location of the hotel is very central and easy to find, near to many restaurants and attractions. This was excellent. - the bed was spacious and comfortable for two people. - staff members were available to accomodate requests (bathrobe, slippers, provided map of the town) and spoke good english, which made communication easier. - variety of sweet and savoury at breakfast buffet. - fresh towels were provided when the room was cleaned, which was great.
CONs - on arrival, the bed did not have fitted sheets (just sheets instead) and we found some hair on the bed. Hair was also found in the bathtub. Cleanliness could have been better. - the bathroom bathtub was over knee height, meaning it was quite difficult to access safely. - there was a TV in the room and the hotel website promised 13 languages, however the TV only had 3 channels in English, all news, and the rest were in German. Language or subtitles could not be changed, which was very disappointing. - air conditioning system and bathtub appeared to be quite old, despite the hotel declaring that the rooms were recently renovated. Our room was in corridor 1A. - there were very few vegan options for breakfast, basically only fruit, teas, jams, bread and coffee. There were also no dairy alternatives for dairy intolerant guests, although these were not requested by us.

Hotel right in the centre. Great for exploring all the sights on foot. Rooms are generous, with the added bonus of a nice seating area, and nice cold fridge for snacks and cold drinks. The only negative aspect was the small amount of wardrobe hanging space. OK for a long weekend though I guess.
Breakfast is included in the room price, and was adequate. Bear in mind though that for this price you won't get 'Full English' items such as bacon. Instead, there's a small selection of cereals, bread rolls, fruit and salad items. And for some reason there were no pastries or croissants, and no toaster; a bit bizarre. Equally, there were some inappropriate hot food items available that should probably be reserved for a dinner menu, such as rice and beef goulash 🤔 And baked beans were on offer, but freezing cold as they were in with the salad items! Weird. I guess some continental Europeans seem to tolerate the same food whatever the time of day. Cottage cheese with scrambled eggs, salad items and cakes all on the same plate!
Be wary of the (mainly German) coach parties who descend on the hotel; usually for just one or two nights. Breakfast is served 07.30 til 10.00. But because they tend to have trips booked for 9, the coach parties all swamp the small breakfast room promptly at 7.30, meaning that all the tables get quickly taken, and massive queues form for the buffet breakfast items. Luckily, the breakfast room is duly locked outside of breakfast time, otherwise I'm sure some of them would try to reserve a table the night before by putting a towel over the chairs 😀. So best to have a lie in and go for breakfast after 8.30.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days and the best is definitely the location. The room seemed a little small for two people, the space between the beds was very narrow and overall the dimensions of it seemed very fair, not so the bathroom that I found much more spacious and more comfortable than the room. The mattress was comfortable and the room temperature was hot, so much so that we slept with the window open. The general cleanliness of it seemed deficient, noticing the dust on the furniture on more than one occasion. Breakfast was regular, variety was lacking, although I do not give it so much importance. I highlight the location, a luxury, close to all the main tourist attractions of the city of Prague and the accesses to the main means of transport or for example the main train station. If I go back to Prague, I would look to stay in another hotel, although if I would repeat the same location in the city, for everything I mentioned earlier. I hope I have been helpful with my comments.

I really liked the hotel. Quiet, cozy, calm and very clean. Located right in the center. Excellent sound insulation in the room. Ideal reading bathroom. We also reserved a parking space, the driver himself drove the car to the parking lot and brought it back at the time we indicated. I highly recommend this hotel!

Definitely not a 4-star standard. Barely a 3-star level. Rooms can do with updating. Old noisy air conditioning unit. Room service non-existent: no matter how many times you try calling, nobody answers eve though well within opening hours. Receptionist rude and unhelpful to address queries, just hangs up the phone. Lack of variety at breakfast: cold scrambled eggs, cold sausages, some cheese and salami and ham, some bread, salad, cereal, yogurt and dry cake, and whatever ‘surprise of the day’ they come up with, including potatoes and mixed veg like you buy from the freezer section (peas, corn and carrots). No toaster available. No kettle or bottle of water in the room. Empty mini-bar. One pillow per person only on bed. No double quilt but two singles. Very old, slow, small lift. Completely disappointed and should have paid better attention to reviews when booking. The only plus side is central location. Avoid disappointment and do not book this hotel.

We recently spent Easter (3 nights) at the Adria Hotel in Prague. I must say I was a tad worried about what I had booked based on all the negativity in a lot of the reviews on here. All I can say is, some people need to stay at home and not travel anywhere if they are bothered by some of the 'minor issues' within this hotel. It is nowhere near as bad as some people are making it out to be. I wouldn't rate it as a 4 star, from what I saw it definitely didn't have enough to warrant a 4 star rating. I would say it is more like a 3 star, or a very good 2 star. Its location within the city centre and on a busy square was its biggest accolade for me. From stepping out through the sliding door you were immediately met with shops, bars, café's and restaurants in every direction. We were in a double room on the 3rd floor (room E32). The room itself was clean and compact. The window overlooked a bland looking wall from the building next door. There is no kettle or tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The bathroom could have benefited from a proper shower cubicle instead of the high sided bath/shower attachment and dated shower curtain. Breakfast is included in the room rate and we found it more than adequate. I really don't know what some people expect!? It's in Prague, so you get a Czech or continental breakfast. If you wanted a full English then stay in the UK. OK, the pros & cons. Pros:- city centre location, pleasant staff, decent breakfast, reasonably comfortable bed, well maintained lifts . Cons:- no tea/coffee making facilities or kettle, no proper shower. If the rooms were brought in line with the 21st Century then this hotel would easily maintain their 4 star rating. At present not every aspect of the hotel deserves to be 4 star.

An old-fashioned hotel in a good location. Not in the historic center, but very close, on Wenceslas Square.
It's not a bad hotel nor did they treat us badly, but you can see the passing of the years. It is not as comfortable as a hotel of this category is expected to be.
In any case, it is not excessively expensive and it is not a disposable hotel. A normal hotel.

Having just returned from three nights in Prague, I would definitely recommend the Adria Hotel. Its location, in Wenceslas Square, is so convenient for walking to the various sights in Prague, or for people watching from one of the many cafes! The rooms at Adria are spacious, very comfortable and quiet. Despite facing the street, I was not disturbed by noise. The bathroom is also spacious; good quality toiletries provided too. The buffet breakfast is fine; plenty of choice and very good coffee. I would also recommend the Triton Restaurant. I had a delicious dinner there after a long day's sightseeing. Distinctive decor, attentive staff and very tasty food- including vegetarian choices. The only addition I would have liked is a hospitality tray in the room. There is a fridge, which is useful for bottled water etc. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel.

The hotel is centrally located but the rooms are a bit dated and in particular our poorly cleaned with the broken toilet box and also following timely reporting not repaired! Breakfast not very well stocked. Hot drinks are not served except in carafes and also low quality products. The non-existent desserts! I didn’t try the pub inside the hotel or even the restaurant! I do not Recommendation this hotel

This is NOT a four star hotel. Honestly, it is not even worth two stars.
I’ll try to be fair:
PROs: - The location is very good, very central.
CONs: - The minibar is empty. - No tea or coffee making facilities. - Most rooms have a view of a wall. - Our room had what looked like a 30-year-old yellowed air condition which was loud and ineffective. - The beds are hard.
Our Experience: - We booked this hotel through an EasyJet package holiday. We were supposed to have 7 nights. On checking in, we were told we only had six nights and they refused to acknowledge that our EasyJet booking clearly listed 7 nights, requiring us to get in touch with EasyJet ourselves.
- One night, we tried to order room service. Try as we might, nobody answered the phone. After calling reception and being told “there’s nothing I can do”, I went to the bistro myself and there the staff were with the phone ringing and simply ignoring it. On enquiring why they were ignoring us, we were simply told that he ‘is alone’ and that “it’s not his problem”. When I admittedly got loud with the receptionist to complain, the waiter came on to me threateningly and told me to “be quiet”.
I have been to many hotels, and I’m typically always satisfied and easy to please. However, this is really the worst accommodation experience I’ve ever had. Stay well away.
