Thanks to all the staff for our wonderful stay.
The air in the room worked well and the king size bed was comfortable. The breakfast which was included was fabulous!
We drove to the hotel so let them know in advance and they will have a valet driver that will take your car and park it for about $15 a day? Totally worth it because parking is very limited. We will definitely stay here again whenever we are in Prague!
Customer service can make or break an establishment and there wasn’t one employee who showed any competent level of hospitality.
The front office lurch barked at my wife because she was going to take a picture of the old school key system they have in place. He yelled something about 17th century frescoes in the lobby. Well, she wasn’t taking a picture of those and there were ZERO signs prohibiting photography.
Perhaps the worst aspect was the lack of cleaning of our room for the ENTIRE 4 day stay. We’d leave in the AM and would be gone until the afternoon. We expected our room to be clean upon our return and nothing had been done, in spite of the fact that we placed the “clean our room” sign on the door. I asked a housecleaner for some towels to hold us over and she spoke no English. And no German. And no Spanish. She just pointed down and said “reception.” I marched my rear end to reception and good ol’ Lurch was there again. I asked if our room could be cleaned and he said priority went to people checking out and we could expect our room to be cleaned in the late afternoon. Well, that goes against all cleaning travel protocols I’ve ever experienced. Rooms should be cleaned in the late AM, not in the late afternoon or evening. That’s dumb.
The included breakfast was b-grade embassy suites fare. And if you had the audacity to sleep in and try to eat any later than 0930, the line was gigantic. No sneeze guards and there were tons of sick, syphilitic children coughing all over the food. Yuck.
The place is not cheap and they doubled the price during New Years.
The ONLY benefit was the room faced the water and therefore the fireworks for NYE. But I paid a lot extra for that privilege.
There are literally tons of boutique hotels all around where we were and unless you paid extra or really wanted a river view, it is 100% not worth it.
I’m not going to complain about the noise-it’s expected and we used sound machines to drown out the 5 story EDM club that is about 50 feet from the hotel. It’s the largest club in Central Europe, fyi. You will be treated to swarms of young men spilling out on to the streets at 5am.
There was so much more to complain about but why bother? We visited 5 countries this trip and this by far was the worst accommodations we had.
This place sucked. We are blessed with the ability to travel a lot and we will never stay here or their affiliated properties.
And send lurch to finishing school.
The reception staff were very nice and the check in was quick.
I had one of the internal rooms that didn't have a s window to outside, only a window to the corridor by the lift.
I knew this when I booked it (as it was cheaper!)
I thought it would be strange having no window to see outside but because the room was a good size it really wasn't an issue.
Had a nice big bed, plenty of pillows (although they were very soft and puffy), big TV (but very few English channels), desk, chair, fridge and a very nice bathroom.
The air conditioning was really good and strangely silent. Never heard it babe any noise but it really cooled the room (very welcome as was over 30 degrees outside!)
Breakfast (included for free) was very impressive. Very busy staff continually bringing out fresh food.
There was hot items (fried eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage, beans, bacon), cereal, loads of lovely fresh fruit, selection of really nice fresh bread, pancakes and other cakes as well.
After I checked out they happy stored my case in the luggage room (and have me a numbered ticket so I could get my bag back later.
For the moaners that complain it's not a hotel because 'it doesn't have a bar'. There is a full mini bar fridge in each room (not free of course!) and there are many bars near the hotel (if the hotel did have a bar people would be complaining how expensive it is!)
Highly recommend the cafe just outside the hotel on the left. Does alcohol and also very good coffees.
The only strange thing about the hotel is that they ask you to leave your key in reception when you leave the hotel.
But when you return you just tell them your room number and they hand it to you.
There appeared to be no security and you could easily collect someone else's key if you were not a nice person. On one occasion I did accidentally get given the wrong key but luckily I noticed before leaving the lobby.
I did not choose this hotel as I was part of a group and was told there to book. However we were all happy with our rooms (for the number of hours we spent in them!) and I would recommend this hotel.
The room was fabulous, beds seriously comfy which was needed after all the walking. We would come back in the evening to the room made up again fresh towels, topped up tea/coffee station. Air con as well!! Which was a must in the August heat in Prague. Beautiful clean bathroom, equipped with everything we needed.
The breakfast was lovely. Such a huge variety of food and covered everything from sweet to savoury as well as hot drinks and juices. I really enjoyed my breakfast and filled up on it every morning before another day out!
The staff were super friendly and happy to help with any queries I had.
I cannot fault my stay at Charles bridge hotel, I was shocked at how beautiful it was, considering only the small price I had to pay and the location of the hotel (perfect!), especially during the height of August summer holidays! 10/10. I would definitely stay here again if I was to visit Prague again.
Thank you for such an enjoyable experience!

Everything was perfect, even before leaving I had a conversation via email with the staff who was prompt and thoughtful. The manager Lyuba was impeccable in managing to create the birthday surprise for our daughter. The family room on two levels with separate bathrooms and the Charles Bridge a few dozen meters away: it's a fairy tale! Quiet environments and very careful cleaning. The breakfast is always varied, plentiful and for all tastes.
Furthermore, which is rare, the staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs despite our limited English.
We hope to return soon because the charm of Prague is captivating

I booked through booking.com.
We stayed in a suite (lounge/dining area, bathroom & bedroom) with a beautiful view overlooking the river (you might even be lucky enough to see an Otter or two enjoying a morning swim!).
I read a few reviews about the hotel being next door to a night club (which it’s not - the club is across the road) and that it can get noisy. I would imagine in the summer if you have all your windows open then that’s probably true but with double secondary glazing, we slept like babies and couldn’t hear a thing.
The hotel is within walking distance of all the main attractions with Charles Bridge, The Story of Prague museum, The Ice Bar & river boat rides all within a minutes walk, so it’s well worth considering.
Breakfast was included and it was one of the best continental breakfasts we’ve ever had. Food was constantly replenished so even if you are a late riser, you won’t miss out.
It depends on preference - Ours is to stay somewhere with character and the Charles Bridge has it in abundance - high ceilings, chandeliers, parquet flooring etc. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely stay again.
