I booked six nights at this hotel on a major booking site. The next day I received an email from them notifying me that the hotel was closed and that my reservation had been transferred to a sister property halfway across the city. Any hotel or management that would willingly accept reservations knowing that the hotel in question is closed is dirty and dishonest. Shame on this hotel and the parent company for trying to swindle customers with this "bait and switch."

Peaceful location outside of the main city centre but within easy walking distance and with a tram stop nearby. Good nearby pubs & restaurants. Clean and spacious, well equipped, great value for money and comfy beds. Super efficient staff and great breakfasts too! The only criticism I would have is that the shower could do with updating as it's difficult to keep the temperature correct and the flow isn't great either. The hotel has a modern fast lift and 6 floors, they have a baggage storage room for later airport transfers, TV has one English channel (BBC world news 24), 3 Italian (RAI), a couple of Russian and 2 German. The bathroom has a hairdryer, shaver points and there are plenty of sockets in the bedroom. Fridge & Safe in the wardrobe. I would definitely stay again and heartily recommend.

This hotel has a slightly faded old style european elegance. There is historic furniture in the lobby, old fashioned lift, and historic breakfast room. We had a two roomed family suite which was ideal. The hotel is close to the underground and so has easy access to the city centre. The breakfast was very good with a great choice of fruit, cake, breads etc. Overall good value for a family.

This was a very nice hotel and we had a good feeling about it from the moment we were greeted in the lobby by a wonderfully helpful young man. We were here for part of our honeymoon and out of all the places we stayed this was the only one that went a bit above what was expected. We had a wonderful room, very spacious with a window that opened onto the street. A bottle of sparkling wine was waiting for us as well as a note welcoming us to the hotel. The metro was close by, lots of little restaurants near, grocery stores. They provided us with umbrellas when it rained, kept our bags for us securely, as we were early. Breakfast had lots of choices. Overall a GREAT experience and will stay here again if given the opportunity.

Stayed here for three nights as part of a stag do. Pros: Room was massive Came with a fridge/freezer rather than an under the counter fridge Excellently located with a Metro station very close Service was very good Negatives None to really speak of Would recommend if you're wanting a good hotel at a reasonable price for a short stay in Prague.

My wife and I stayed at La Fenice for a couple of days on a short break. We arrived into a sparse reception that made us look at each other in trepidation. We need not have worried. This hotel is excellent. The location is perfect within what is an up and coming trendy student area. Our room 601 was a pleasant surprise as on entering it transpired to be an apartment with lounge and fully functioning kitchen. High ceilings with dark beams and at the rear of the hotel. The bed was large and comfortable with lovely soft pillows. Tea and coffee provided. No idea if all rooms are the same as this is not an apart hotel. Yes, the decor in the bathroom is a little tired but this is minor issue. There is a lift to all floors. The staff were attentive and friendly at all times with excellent maid service. Breakfast included was buffet style that was fresh, plentiful and unlimited. Cereals, meats, scrambled egg, toast, cakes, salad, juice, coffee, tea etc. The hotel is close to the metro, where just around the corner is a market square and road with lots of good breakfast/ coffee shops and the usual fast food pizza outlets. The tram stop is also outside the hotel. Across the park from the hotel is an excellent vegan restaurant called ‘Moments’ that has a great house special burger and alcohol free beer if required. The hotel is easy to get to from the main train station either walking or via metro. Residence La Fenice is a fine comfortable hotel and a great choice. If we return to Prague we would have no hesitation visiting again. Recommended.

Spent 5 nights here and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were universally friendly and efficient in all areas from the reception to the breakfast staff. The hotel is set in a grand building opposite a lovely park in one of the nicer areas of the city. Its a 2 minute walk to the metro and then just 3/4 stops to the centre (or a quick uber) and there are hundreds of bars and restaurants in the area at prices to suit the locals more than the tourist which makes a change from the centre of the city. The rooms are well appointed and clean and ours had a great view out on to the park (506). Wifi was strong and they provided an extra fan which kept the room cool enough. The breakfast was really good with plenty of hot and cold choices that were replenished regularly. The hot and cold drinks offerings were excellent too. Overall one of the better hotels I have stayed in over the 8 visits to the city and I will be back again next year. Thanks

Hotel is very nice and stylish. The room was very big and had very high ceiling. I asked for an extra bed for my 4 year old daughter and she loved it. Breakfast is the same every day but there is a lot of variety so you can always find something different to eat. It's about 1.5 km to Wenceslas Square but we enjoyed the straight walk on broad Vinohradska avenue. You can always take a tram to the center as public transportation is quite cheap and very good in Prag. Also, I recommend using Liftago taxi app as it is very useful. The only thing I didn't like is the long check in process as they make you fill in a piece of paper with a lot of personal info for each person. They even ask for credit card number because they want to have it as an insurance in case something gets damaged in the room. Also, I had to pay for my room in advance so at least the check out was a breeze.

The hotel and breakfast was good in itself. The reception staff is slow and not very serviceminded. They used about 12-14 minutes on one check in. They didn’t make it feel welcoming and didn’t really look at you. Waterpressure was not good and the shower was broken as well. The toilet was also kind of broken, the flush was hard to get down. The room was nice and clean though. Comfortable bed.
