Hotel TAURUS * * * * is situated in the centre of the city right in the METRO underground station, just a few minutes from the Wenceslas Square, the National Museum and the Old Town, in the superb quarter of Royal Vinohrady.There are many shops and restaurants and a modern Flora shopping centre near the hotel or the New Jewish Cemetery, where also the world-famous writer Franz Kafka has been buried.Do not miss the view of Prague from the nearby Zizkov TV Tower, either from the restaurant (66m) or from the observation cabin (93m).The hotel provides accommodation in 57 rooms. Most rooms are equipped with antique furniture from the turn of the 19th century and some rooms are equipped with modern furniture. Each room provides a bathroom with a shower and toilet, an LCD TV set with a satellite receiver, mini bar, wifi connection, direct phone, safe deposit box, hair dryer, toiletries and aids for making tea and coffee (free of charge).

Once again (and not the last:) ) I prefer this hotel for my trips for any purposes to Prague and wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone. Great internet coverage, impressive and yummy breakfast (personnel in the restaurant are amazing and really warm to everyone ♥️). Many thanks to Anuar for good organizing the check-in at the hotel and to Vladimir for the exceptional check-out. Despite the fact I said quite late about my need for early breakfast, during my departure, I wasn't left without food for a long way ^-^ This is really nice and proves a very respectful attitude of this hotel towards guests. Stairs. Looots of stairs. Despite the fact of the existence of the elevator, it wouldn't help you to reach the restaurant for breakfast. This is NOT a four star hotel: tiny room; leaky shower, which is so common in the Czech Republic; non functioning mini bar; nothing in the mini bar; rollaway beds stored in the hallway; and employees smoke behind the hotel and smoke wafts up to the room. On the plus side: convenient location; clean and quiet; efficient housekeeping; after making clear that a refrigerator was on the website, staff replaced the non functioning refrigerator with one from another room. Rhetorical question: did those people in the room with the non functioning refrigerator want a refrigerator?

We liked the stay at the hotel in general, we were very lucky that it was not very hot in Prague, since the hotel did not have air conditioning. On the plus side, the location of the hotel was quite convenient, there were metro and trams nearby, there were delicious breakfasts and spacious, clean rooms, the guys and I were delighted, the cool guy Anuar always smiled at the reception and we even invited him to drink beer with us, but unfortunately he did not agree ((( Helped me find the club we were looking for and suggested the way to the main attractions, I rate the hotel 5

The hotel is located in Prague 2, not so close to the old town and famous sights. So bear in mind that it’s necessary to use subway or public transport to access places worth seeing in Prague. Daily transport tickets are available at the reception, though. Breakfast is good and varied. The only thing that made us upset is that throughout our stay( 5 nights) bed linen wasn’t changed at all! Although bath towels were changed every day, they still smelled. The walls were too thin and we could hear everything going on in the adjoining rooms.

Nice stay in good location of Prague! I stay here with my bf, we book double room. The price was very good! Room nice and clean. What i just didnt like was a bed , we book double bed but on the room was twin bed put in one double bed which is at all not comfortable, but for one night ok, but even i was not sleeping well. Also only one big pillow not very soft so my neck was hurts at the morning. But not a tragedie. Breakfast was very nice big choise of all food you need at the morning. Breakfast staff can be more friendly and smile sometimes is big plus and cost nothing. But for sure nice hotel in very nice location of Prague (Jiriho z Podebrad) i love this area. But for the price we get, we will sure back in future.

We stayed here this Dec and just want to say the reception staff do not give you the information you need .they sold us a Prague public transport ticket and didn’t tell us we had to validate the ticket with a result we got charged a 1000 Prauge money each this would have been avoided if the reception staff had told us we don’t use the underground at home.I told the respiontist at out hotel and said it was not there problem yes I think it was we got to speak to a c manager who couldn’t come down to speak face to face we spoke on the phone and all I can say he was the most arrogant man I have ever spoke to, also he stuck by his staff we were so annoyed at the hotel.Also the cleaner does not do a good job at cleaning our room didn’t wash cups out .So there to say we WONT be back to this hotel or Prague.…

EXCELLENT VALUE, and not expensive. This is my third visit at Hotel Taurus, and I will visit again in 2023. I am a simple old guy, and this hotel is beyond my expectations or needs, but ... as the old saying goes: "I'll take it !" The rooms I have stayed in are small (my request) but fully sufficient. Cleaning service is thorough and daily. The breakfasts (included in the cost) are, frankly, sumptuous. The hotel provides drivers from and to the airports (extra fee, payable to the driers, but are reasonable). Concierge services -- e.g., arranging for taxis, arranging for tour enrollments and payments, exchanging money -- are excellent. All staff are courteous and attentive. In short, I have NO complaints and only good things to say about the Hotel Taurus it is located in a very nice section of Prague.…

The reason I rate this hotel so low is because the walls are so thin! You can hear absolutely everything we hardly slept at all during our stay because the people above us and around us were constantly talking with what sounded very loud as if they were in our room.. and you could hear bad snoring at times too. The rooms were very basic and smelt musky. Breakfast was average. This hotel states its a 4 star and it clearly is NOT 4 star hotel. They clean the room daily which is good and it's about a 25 minute walk to the main city there are trams but if you want to avoid crowds I'd recommend walking!

It is very far from the expected level of a 4-star hotel! It is NOT close to Vencel square. The room is small and uncomfortable, the receptionist is rude, the corridors are disappointing. There is no elevator ín the second building, (ín the first building there is one elevator for the 400 rooms).

I was really satisfied with this hotel. The rooms were pretty big and most importantly - clean. I was surprised with the size of the bed, it was quite large and same goes for the shower. I also appreciated that there was a kettle in our room. We had breakfast included in the price and honestly it couldn't have been better. We could choose from several kinds of pastries, they had fresh fruit, some hot meals etc. About 3 minutes of walk, there is a underground station, so you can quickly get to the city center from the hotel. There is also a supermarket just in front of the hotel and also some (mostly asian) restaurants just around the block. I also appreciated the 24h reception, since we could come back to the hotel even late at night.
