Each year we pick a different European country for a long weekend. We always stay in hostels but because we aren't there long we usually don't put much effort into finding the best. However we struck gold in Prague! The price and location were the original reasons for staying here but the place is great! We had a great welcome...

The staff was lovely , the location was perfect , the service was great.. Everything was brilliant until I was bitten by bedbugs..Told them..they were clearly sorry but I would never ever go back and wouldn't recommend any backpackers..

I used a single room on the second floor, and I absolutely enjoyed staying at this place. It's in excellent location - right by Charles Bridge. Shower room, bathroom, kitchen and common room areas were always clean. Staff are wonderful - very friendly and knowledgeable about Prague & its surroundings. If you book an excursion with them, you get 10%...

Liked: great location, cool reception people, free wi-fi everywhere, free tea/coffee, free luggage storage, only few bunk beds, a cat and a dog at the reception :) Not so sure about: I felt like security could be improved sometimes (they didn't ask for my passport... don't know if it was just me or if it's hostel policy, but I'd definitely...

This hostel looks unwelcoming from the outside but don't be fooled. It is simply an amazingly homely place. Free water, internet is fast, tips on what to see, discounts everywhere, advice on money exchange and a whole host of things make it the best. The staff is amazing, the bathrooms are clean and fully loaded and even have a washing...

The advantage of this place is at the same time the disadvantage: the location. It's very well located, but because it’s right next to Charles Bridge, it’s really noisy. I haven’t been there during the weekend, but I heard that on a Saturday there are people playing until late hours on the street. I’ve stayed at the 7 bed female...

I was so happy that this hostel had availability during my stay, with such raving reviews and an amazing location. The directions were great and very easy to follow. Check in I arrived late in the evening, it was around 23h and upon arrival I was offered a drink (tea, water, coffee...), given the information about the local area, special...

I've stayed at quite a few hostels in my travels, and Charles Bridge economic is the best. Hands down. Lets begin shall we? Location-Charles Bridge is about 50 feet outside the front door. Can't ask for a better spot. want to get to the bridge and snap some pics before the tourist horde arrives? No problem, right outside the door....

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
