Property's Favorite Review
Absolutely outstanding location. Maybe one of the best hostels in Central Europe. In a very old building with bags of character and quirkyness.
Has some of the “faded almost run down” atmosphere you seem to get in most hostels (Part of the compulsory spec you could say) but if it was given new stair flooring, repaint the walls and put up some little lights and place potted plants then the discerning tourists would flock here.
Very helpful staff, and yes that location again. In the more pleasant Lesser Town side of the river you just couldn’t better it.
Reasonable prices being a hostel in dorms or private rooms are available at still very competitive rates.

The best place you can stay in Prague for sure. The host was incredibly nice to us and helped us our group of 3 with everything from planning our day, to the best money exchanges to even keeping our bags free of cost for our last day after the checkout. Would recommend this place to everyone. Our 4th floor room was also really spacious and clean + we got it as a super cheap price. I'm gonna stay at this place next time as well!

I've been staying in hostels around the world for 20 years and I would go as far as saying this is about the perfect hostel.
Arriving after hours and still received the most friendly of welcomes and was shown to my room.
Room was spacious despite bing an eight bed dorm, beds were comfortable and unlike many hostess towels were provided for free.
Location is perfect, right at the foot of Charles Bridge and just a short walk to Old Town and all visitor attractions.
Good showers, bathroom and kitchen with nice space to chill out.
Receptionists were VERY helpful and a special shout out to Lucas and Maddie who were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
Shops right outside and tram a shot walk away.
Can't fault this place one bit.

The only good thing about this place is its location, the rest was terrible.
We stayed 3 nights in one of their private rooms and its condition was really poor: stained walls, dark and smelly bathroom, dirty fridge, missing lights.
Also, it was really difficult to get some rest at night because of the noise level. One of the nights in particular there were people on the hostel patio, talking loudly and smoking pot and we could hear absolutely everything they were saying as if they were inside our room. They stayed until 3 am and the worst is that they were not guests but people working at the place.
Finally, they forgot to charge us showing how disorganized this place is.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Totally recommend this hostel. Beautiful old building, literally right next to Charles bridge!
Staff were extremely helpful and very kind- free hot drinks and water all day.
The apartments we stayed in were both excellent ( stayed twice for 3 nights each time, one week apart) They were well equipped and clean. Very little noise and a lovely atmosphere .
Great value for money.
The building was very old (14 th century ?) so we totally understood why there was no lift !
The stairs were manageable even for this very unfit nearly fifty yr old however, if you do suffer with limited mobility you may find it difficult - I suspect the staff would go out of their way to help you in anyway they could- they were magnificent !
Would definitely stay there again with my family , many thanks to all the staff

My favorite hostel of my trip. Great location on a very pretty street. Check in was superb - host warmly welcomed me, gave a map and where to join a free walking tour (do this!!) explained wifi, facilities, etc. and walked me up to my room - traditional service like this really makes a difference! Room was nice with towel at your bed, was in a 1/2 full room with guys my age. Multiple outdoor tables on patios between floors. Kitchen area was big. Decor was just as beautiful as prague. Free espresso!

The hostel is really located at a unbeatable location, and staff are nice.
But if you do not mind the beg bugs, this is perfect. Imagine we stayed for 2 nights under the roof, and each of us (a family of four including 2 kids) had about 100 bites all over the arms, legs, necks, bodies and cheeks. My husband and our kids saw the beg bugs on the bed the next morning but they didn't realise that they are beg bugs because we have never seen them before (until we saw them on internet).
This nightmare continues when we are back to Hong Kong and found that some new borne beg bugs are found in our clothing.......
We have given our comments on Booking.com but they are not publicized. We have also sent email complaints to the Hostel and Booking.com but no response is received up till now (more than 14 days).
We think that this is a serious problem that needs to draw attention to all travellers.
Hope no more new victims!

I don't recall seeing non-smoking signs but I don't remember seeing ashtrays either. Nobody smoked while I was there and there is an easily-accessible outside patio where people could smoke instead of inside.
