Nové Město (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.

We booked the private 4 bed en-suite for 4 nights, which was a small, intimate, clean and modern room with 2 comfy bunkbeds at a right angle from each other. The room also has a modern TV, mini fridge, safe, full length mirror, cupboards and a rail with a handful of clothes-hangers. The bathroom had a bath with a shower head that was on the adjacent wall of the head of bath, which could be awkward but was a decent shower overall. Bed sheets and towels were changed frequently. The air-con wasn’t the most powerful as you couldn’t set a specific temperature on the control panel. The windows had electric roller shutter blinds which were lowered and closed or opened and raised by the same control panel. These were a nice feature of the room, however on the other side of the windows was a loud building site that started at about 6am and continued into the day - quite an unpleasant wake up, especially if hungover! I would have given the property a 4 star rating had it not been for this disturbance. Away from the room, the hotel has a small, quiet garden area and a nice bar inside with plenty of seats and a stage, which hosted a band and a comedy night during our stay. A buffet breakfast is available at a reasonable price which we had on the Saturday, as it ran till the later time of 12pm at the weekend. You can expect the usual buffet quality of hot food and drink with a selection of fruit, bread and cereal. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk away from the Old Town Square, with tram stops just down the road. There are also some nice bars and places to eat nearby in the new town and on the Vltava river. Prague itself is a beautiful, historic city with plenty of things to see and do, with the nightlife to go with it. One thing we did notice though was that most bars close around midnight/1am. We didn’t fancy going clubbing, so two of our nights ended in our room with a couple of cans each from the off-licence.

After a minor issue with our booking, which was handled great and didn't affect the overall feel of enjoyment of the trip. We really got to enjoy Prague from this location it was a great starting point for our needs in traveling around Prague and visiting the local nightlife. It had better than expected facilities with a great bar. The staff were all very friendly and made sure we had a great stay.

Everything was very good, service, cleaning, food. One of the thing that calls my attention was the bathroom have a very good size, at least for a room of 6p. They also have a laundry and kitchenette room. Thank you very much

Ultra modern and clean hostel with good kitchen facilities and bathroom. Recently renovated. My one complaint is the charge to store luggage - 60-80 czk, I've stayed in hundreds of hostels and never had to pay to keep my bag stored after or before check out.
