Stayed here for 3 nights, location was perfect both for walking around the old town and accessing the metro from Staromestska. Hostel receptionist was so kind and helpful, even made sure I was OK flying home from the airport! Beds were ok, toilets and showers were a bit cramped, common area was modest. The bedside cupboards for luggage were not lockable. The main problem was that the hostel locks up out of reception's opening hours, which caused me a few problems because my key was difficult to use. A keycard system would have been a lot easier.

I stayed for 3 nights in this hostel and it was lovely. The room is simple but the location is in the heart of the old town and just few steps to the famous Astronomy clock, 10 minutes walk to Charles bridge and close to the metro station. The hostel has a kitchen so you can cook your own meals but Prague is cheap compared to another part of Europe that I visited.

We booked a few beds for NYE and the days surrounding. So the price while expensive was understandable. The location was brilliant. Can not fault it. Going hand in hand with location, it means everything was loud. But the hostel itself wasn’t - just the noise from the people, fireworks and horses. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and nice. Our bunk bed squeaked so much my friend and I ended up putting our beds on the floor for 2 out of 3 nights. The squeaking wasn’t normal hotel bed, it was constant and any movement or even cough. However our other friends bunk was fine, so must have gotten the unlucky one. So I don’t blame the hostel but knowing what I do now, I wouldn’t book here again.

The hostel is very modest. I had my own room but shared the bathroom. It is located right at the heart of oldtown, and also a kebab place which sell halal cuisine. It is close to Cafe Abel with good coffee also IPasteria selling beat carrot cake ever. It is also close to a souvenir shop Darky Gifts with very real Czech materials. I definitely will stay here again if I go to Prague. A bit bad night because somebody bang on my room, apparently the guest was a bit drunk, and he was mistakenly knocked at wrong room.

Room is nice and clean. Shared bathroom ok. Wifi ok. You are a minute away from Old Town Square and Prague Astronomical Clock. 10 minutes walk to Charles Bridge. The staffs are friendly and helpful. This hostel have a lift so no need to worry about carrying your luggages. Worth the stay if you are in a budget.

The hostel itself is located in the great spot very close to major attraction places, not that far from the metro station. Staff are nice and welcome the room is clean, about 10 mins walk to the great bridge.

It's located in a perfect spot, just in the city center! I stayed in a 6 beds shared room. Although beds and pillows could be more confortable, the quality-price rate is good. The cleaning of the bathrooms is correct.

I had three other accommodation options before I decided to stay at Hostel Franz. The three were all close to Charles Bridge. When I learnt they're a bit distant from Staromestska, I cancelled my booking with one of them. I chose Hostel Franz for its proximity to Staromestska, St. Nicholas Church, the central square, the Astronomical Clock, Jewish Quarter, restaurants and stores! Whenever I was near Hostel Franz, I'd go to my room and change my shirt and leave small souvenir items I've bought during my walks. What I didn't like in their service is their incapacity to accommodate early check in. They stick to 2 pm, which makes them very disappointing. Regardless the room is ready or not, they say the rooms need to be cleaned. This hostel draws negative reviews in this sense. All I wanted was to settle my things in my own private room, freshen up and wander around the city. They haven't been much of help after many times of persuading.

We’ve spent our summer holiday in eastern part of europe this year. First stop is Prague. We arrived at prague 9 in the morning, with the bus and metro we can catch up to Hostel Franz Kafka easily. Only one block from metro station and tram, it gives simple access almost to all centre activity. The hostel it self just near the old town, and many restaurant around. We got a good room, nice and clean shared bathroom, although it is summer and the hostel didn’t have aircon, it is no problem. We got a good night to sleep. Pros: - location - cleanliness - room space Cons: - almost none, maybe using magnetic card would be a good idea.

I loved the location - litterarly 30 seconds walk to the Old Towna and right next to the subway station. All major attractions are at walking distance. The rooms are spacious and the whole place is clean. Plenty of bathrooms and showers. Perfect place to stay if you are on a budget!
