After traveling around Europe for three months and visiting Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, Ljubljana, Belfast and Dublin I can unequivocally recommend Prague as my favorite European city and Hotel Friday as my favorite hotel. What a great city if you're an American. The prices are unreal (value for your dollar) and the choices are numerous. Nightlife is surreal........walk... More

The day I landed and checked in Prague, I got news that my dad passed away in Australia. Even though I had paid for 5 nights, on hearing the news, the hotel kindly refunded the balance of my stay. I suppose in the moment of grief, kind actions like this matter. I found the hotel clean, the staff friendly, the... More

Great hotel, right in the shopping district but not far from local attractions, receptionist was very helpful, gave good recommendations and booked dinner reservations for us. Shower didn't attach to wall but minor detail. Good breakfast.

The hotel was very clean, easy to find, central. The room was very spacious and everything functioned as expected. I would probably go back again to this clean and central hotel. Just please note that this is in a pedestrian only zone and as such may need to walk (just a minute) to get there from the taxi. The hotel... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
