I feel it is very important not to be in hurry at the beginning of journey. My best solution to lower the stress either on the start of your holiday or after coming back is to overnight at the Wind Mill Bed and Breakfast. This time I enjoyed the stay at this cosy place at the end of my holiday after a really long flight. Many thanks for the peace and comfort. I do hope to see you again soon.
All my holiday adventures start in this place. The owners are very kind and we always chat about travelling and places abroad. This accommodation is comfortable and one is sure to get to the airport in time. I like to go for a walk strolling around the Hvezda (Star) summer residence in the game park. You will like their breakfast in the morning too.
Let me point outright that this is a pension (guesthouse) and not a hotel, and the rating is accordingly. If you're looking for a "regular" hotel in the center of town, this is not for you. We stayed at the Větrný Mlýn a couple of years ago, and remembered it fondly. So on this trip, needing three rooms, decided to return. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Free WiFi. Good breakfast, and Alex and Michael are very generous with constant refills. Out of town, but very convenient public transportation, and tickets can be purchased at no additional cost at the pension. But most important were our hosts - Alex and Michael. They speak several languages fluently (one of our party was a Russian speaker), and they make you feel like part of the family. Their recommendations are excellent - where to eat, how to travel, etc. When my daughter-in-law felt ill, they organized a tea pot and honey at night to take to her room. Our return flight was very early in the morning, and Alex got us a large taxi to pick us up (and told us that if for some reason the taxi doesn't show we should wake him up and he'll take us!!), and they left us a packed breakfast to take with us. Stayed for four nights, and would have gladly stayed longer. Many, many thanks to Alex and Michael for a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Will definitely return on our next trip.…
Mills of any kind used to be the source of good energy. Inside the Wind Mill I do feel the power of positive vibrations and whenever I am going to travel abroad via the airport in Prague, I always ask to be accommodated in this cosy place. The family managing this small hotel do care about their guests, they help to get a taxi to catch their flights and wish everyone a happy journay. I wish them only happy customers. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
I was with my boyfriend in the Czech Republic and needed after a while a room in a hotel because of an argument with him. The taxi driver helped me to find an accommodation for me. I was in a bad mood understandably.. so after letting me in, the man at the desk started to ask me questions, where I’m from, If I had a passport with me and why I were so sad and alone in the middle of the night. I explained him that my boyfriend and I had a fight so I needed time for myself. After told him that, he acted crazy! He said GO, just GO before your boyfriend comes here and make problems. Than he kicked me out of the pension in the middle of the night!!! I didn’t told him a bad story about my boyfriend or something else!! I’m a 27 years old women from Switzerland and just needed a place to sleep. I didn’t understand, why he acted like this. he didn’t even called a cab for me. I asked him if he could, so I would go somewhere else. But he did not!!! This is very very sad. I was in a foreign country and alone. This pension is in the middle of nowhere. I walked hours until I found something. This is the worst experience I ever made. I would never recommend this pension. He had no humanity at all!…
We stayed 2 nights in this guesthouse. We chose the guesthouse because it is located close to the airport (10-15mins) but at the same time in a nice residential area away from the city rush. The guesthouse has a very friendly atmosphere. It feels like at parents' house :) The owners were very nice and kind. The were very forthcoming. We had to leave to the airport around 5 am and they were kind to leave breakfast for us in the fridge the night before. We really appreciated it!Thank you again. We had a 4 bed room, which was nice and cosy. The bathroom was simple but clean. We recommend this guesthouse and if back to Prague, we may stay there again.
Loved staying here. It was very near the airport and transportation to downtown Prague was accessible and easy. Alex took great care of us. He is pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and our pension room was clean and relaxing. I will definitely stay here again when I am in Prague.
I loved staying in this pension with my family, It is cosy and you feel at home, very clean rooms. TV and free WIFI are available. The breakfast is good and the owner always bring extras for big families. Free parking for cars, you have your own key and can open the gate any time. There is a very beatiful garden where you can sit either. The owner is really very helpful and gave us many tips for the visit. A bus stop is just in front of the pension which takes you to the tram and then directly to the centrum. The airport is not far either. There is a is a Mcdonald's besides as well. You can exchange money at the pension or buy transport tickets. . It not very expensive comparing it to other hotels. All facilities are available so it is the place to stay ! Fully recommended. A big thanks to Alex who was very very welcoming till the last day of our stay.…
i do love travelling. But sometimes I hate it. Especially as the highway between Prague and Brno is not very reliable, one has to solve the problem to be at the Prague airport in time. I am lucky that I have found my solution - being accommodated in this lovely B and B, I am really just 5 minutes to get to the airport using either a local bus or a taxi. Owners of this B and B named their little hotel "the Wind Mill", they are very nice people, communication with them can grind up any stress so I am at ease, no worries at all. There is really the very best starting place of my hollidays. Looking forward to come again soon.
This is my favorite place to stay in Europe! I turned down free accommodations at a friend’s in Prague to return to this pension—it is so comfortably inviting. The hosts are welcoming and helpful; they make their guests feel like family and speak an array of languages: English, Czech, German and Russian. They serve an abundant breakfast of fresh bread rolls, cheese and meat tray, eggs, yogurt, chocolate bars, coffee/tea and juice and frequently invite guests to “pack a lunch” with the leftovers. The rooms always look freshly white-washed and smell so fresh and clean. We brought the family and stayed here when we landed in Prague in June (2013) and then, after traveling in Moravia, returned in July. When my ten-year old granddaughter entered the room, she exclaimed, “it’s good to be back here—it feels like coming home!” The tram system was disrupted in July while construction was ongoing to extend the subway system which caused the trip into central Prague to take a little longer. When construction is complete, the location should be more convenient to town; it is quite convenient to the airport. And it has ample parking for those with cars.…
