Whenever I am setting for a long journey I like to start my vacation near the Prague airport, in the quarter named Ruzyne, at the family BandB . From my point of view this Wind Mill is the perfect start point for any future advanture. They offer comfortable beds, great breakfast and an excellent connection to the terminals to catch the flight. Looking forward to the next meeting in near future.

I feel it is very important not to be in hurry at the beginning of journey. My best solution to lower the stress either on the start of your holiday or after coming back is to overnight at the Wind Mill Bed and Breakfast. This time I enjoyed the stay at this cosy place at the end of my holiday after a really long flight. Many thanks for the peace and comfort. I do hope to see you again soon.

All my holiday adventures start in this place. The owners are very kind and we always chat about travelling and places abroad. This accommodation is comfortable and one is sure to get to the airport in time. I like to go for a walk strolling around the Hvezda (Star) summer residence in the game park. You will like their breakfast in the morning too.

Let me point outright that this is a pension (guesthouse) and not a hotel, and the rating is accordingly. If you're looking for a "regular" hotel in the center of town, this is not for you. We stayed at the Větrný Mlýn a couple of years ago, and remembered it fondly. So on this trip, needing three rooms, decided to return. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Free WiFi. Good breakfast, and Alex and Michael are very generous with constant refills. Out of town, but very convenient public transportation, and tickets can be purchased at no additional cost at the pension. But most important were our hosts - Alex and Michael. They speak several languages fluently (one of our party was a Russian speaker), and they make you feel like part of the family. Their recommendations are excellent - where to eat, how to travel, etc. When my daughter-in-law felt ill, they organized a tea pot and honey at night to take to her room. Our return flight was very early in the morning, and Alex got us a large taxi to pick us up (and told us that if for some reason the taxi doesn't show we should wake him up and he'll take us!!), and they left us a packed breakfast to take with us. Stayed for four nights, and would have gladly stayed longer. Many, many thanks to Alex and Michael for a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Will definitely return on our next trip.

Mills of any kind used to be the source of good energy. Inside the Wind Mill I do feel the power of positive vibrations and whenever I am going to travel abroad via the airport in Prague, I always ask to be accommodated in this cosy place. The family managing this small hotel do care about their guests, they help to get a taxi to catch their flights and wish everyone a happy journay. I wish them only happy customers. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

I was with my boyfriend in the Czech Republic and needed after a while a room in a hotel because of an argument with him. The taxi driver helped me to find an accommodation for me. I was in a bad mood understandably.. so after letting me in, the man at the desk started to ask me questions, where I’m from, If I had a passport with me and why I were so sad and alone in the middle of the night. I explained him that my boyfriend and I had a fight so I needed time for myself. After told him that, he acted crazy! He said GO, just GO before your boyfriend comes here and make problems. Than he kicked me out of the pension in the middle of the night!!! I didn’t told him a bad story about my boyfriend or something else!! I’m a 27 years old women from Switzerland and just needed a place to sleep. I didn’t understand, why he acted like this. he didn’t even called a cab for me. I asked him if he could, so I would go somewhere else. But he did not!!! This is very very sad. I was in a foreign country and alone. This pension is in the middle of nowhere. I walked hours until I found something. This is the worst experience I ever made. I would never recommend this pension. He had no humanity at all!

Response from Alexander S, Vlastník at Pension Vetrny mlyn
Responded Jul 2, 2016
Dear Ms. Catak - your article is as a matter of fact informing, that we do not allow during deep night problematics persons to be accomodated in our nice pension which is opened since 1992. And - believe ... after I saw your face in the light I told myself "she is probably under influence of alcohol or ... ", therefore was for me necessary to ask "what happend" and after information about your private war with your boyfrend, who is serching you, I was really afraid to give you room in pension full of sleeping clients - half of them with children.. and a w a i t atack of perhaps infuriated "boyfrend". Therefore i send you to the hotel where is reception open for 24 hours. You did not need taxi - this hotel is 40 meters in front of us !! - everybody can verificate it in "google maps". Another hotel - in front of that I saw You by chance next morning, is maximally 500 meters by walk from us. So - no h o u r s walking in the "middle of nowhere". Who knows Prague and more - our beautiful quarter with hotels and pensions - cannot believe this nonsence. I must declare, that safety of our clients is for us most important - more than money from accomodation of persons, who are for us "potential trouble makers". I am already 66 years old man - unfortunatelly not strong enought to be eventual arbitrator between some young private fighters any more. Sorry - Alexander - owner of pension.

We stayed 2 nights in this guesthouse. We chose the guesthouse because it is located close to the airport (10-15mins) but at the same time in a nice residential area away from the city rush. The guesthouse has a very friendly atmosphere. It feels like at parents' house :) The owners were very nice and kind. The were very forthcoming. We had to leave to the airport around 5 am and they were kind to leave breakfast for us in the fridge the night before. We really appreciated it!Thank you again. We had a 4 bed room, which was nice and cosy. The bathroom was simple but clean. We recommend this guesthouse and if back to Prague, we may stay there again.

Loved staying here. It was very near the airport and transportation to downtown Prague was accessible and easy. Alex took great care of us. He is pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and our pension room was clean and relaxing. I will definitely stay here again when I am in Prague.

I loved staying in this pension with my family, It is cosy and you feel at home, very clean rooms. TV and free WIFI are available. The breakfast is good and the owner always bring extras for big families. Free parking for cars, you have your own key and can open the gate any time. There is a very beatiful garden where you can sit either. The owner is really very helpful and gave us many tips for the visit. A bus stop is just in front of the pension which takes you to the tram and then directly to the centrum. The airport is not far either. There is a is a Mcdonald's besides as well. You can exchange money at the pension or buy transport tickets. . It not very expensive comparing it to other hotels. All facilities are available so it is the place to stay ! Fully recommended. A big thanks to Alex who was very very welcoming till the last day of our stay.
