Stayed here for 4 nights during July. Hotel is down a little side street and the entrance is not much to look at. However, once you step into the reception the decor is lovely as is the restaurant. Check in was quick and staff spoke...More

My husband and I loved our stay at the Grand Majestic Plaza Hotel! It's totally unassuming from the outside, coming in on a very narrow, cobblestone street into a HUGE, modern lobby.
Our room was very nice. I loved the heated floors in the bathroom....More
We were with a group, traveling by bus. Our bus had to park several blocks from the hotel. If walking a far distance is not a problem, this hotel is a good choice. The room was clean and the staff was helpful.
The lobby is very nice, looks luxurious but priced reasonably. The room we got was more than big enough, TV a bit small but not used during our stay. No problems with room service, cleaning or noise. The view was not great from our room...More

Nearly 700 hundred meters long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town
or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theaters. National Theater near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.

The hotel arranged our airport transfers for us for about 25 euros each way. The taxis are excellent VW Passat estates and the drivers courteous. There is water in the room but you have to pay and it is expensive, Far better to buy it at one of the minimarkets nearby. There is a huge range of food at breakfast and the quality is excellent. The Hop on/ Hop off tours are excellent but I found that the 48 hour pass was a bit extravagant and I think you can see the important stuff with a 24 hour pass. The hotel is extremely quiet and I doubt that the lift will cause you problems. By the way, you should make a point of dining at La Boca restaurant which is about 100 metres away. The food is wonderful and very good value. See my review of the Two brothers Indian restaurant which is a few minutes walk away too.
