Grand Majestic Hotel Prague is located in one of the most desirable localities, in the heart of historical centre of Prague, just few steps from the famous Municipal House, Gothic Poder Gate, significant Republic Square and most attractive shopping centre Palladium. 4* Grand Majestic Hotel Prague provides 196 design rooms including 6 luxury apartments (some apartments with balcony).
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
We stayed here for 3 nights in late January and were very impressed with the standard of this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable and warm, just what is needed after a day out walking and sightseeing in very cold conditions. Breakfast was superb, always plenty on offer, could not fault it at all. They had a "Happy Hour" which ran from 1300hrs to 1800hrs every day,where all cocktail were 99CKs, we certainly took advantage of this for a couple of hours every afternoon. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of coming to Prague.

This hotel has great reviews for a reason and they are well deserved in my opinion.
We arrived 4 hours before check in and the staff advised they had a room ready for us and would get us checked in which was much appreciated. The great welcome by the staff was continued throughout the whole stay. Bar staff, restaurant staff, cleaners and others were all very friendly and went the extra mile to make it a good stay.
The room was a bit smaller than I anticipated and the view was nothing that special but you have to remember these buildings are very old and built many decades ago so the Hotel is limited about the view. It was functional, clean and had everything that I needed during the stay. The only thing was as it was winter they had the AC turned off but the rooms did get very hot. Again when I called the man came to the room and advised that he could get us a fan and this was provided.
The location was fantastic and for us was a 5 minute walk to the old town square, there was a little Xmas market about 400m from the hotel and there is a variety of bars, restaurants, pubs and cafes all around. This really is one of the best points about this hotel.
The only reason i gave it a 4 was one day we had the "Do not Disturb" sign on the door and a woman came in, when I was sleeping, when I advised the DND sign was up she just advised here to check Mini Bar and continued to do a stock count? I did not feel this was very professional.
Apart from this one minor glitch I can say it was an amazing hotel and I will return one day.

Newly refurbished, modern, bright, marble finish with black and walnut style finishes.
Room clean, fresh and spacious. Quiet at all times. Windows can be opened for air, facing street where there is usual noise when open.
Complementary Breakfast buffet has large variety from which to choose with option for freshly made eggs, omelette and waffles. Added bonus was Piano player to accompany our meal.
Dinner offers traditional tastes of Czech Republic , with a voucher for discount rate on food and wine.
The staff were very attentive and friendly.
Within short walk of max.10 mins from centre of old town sights and surrounded by variety of bars and restaurants.
Overall a great experience which I can happily recommend.

My wife and i had 4 nights here in early February. The hotel is in a great location, the staff are excellent and very helpful. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have come across in our many travels. There are acouple of issues which could be dealt with but it must be said that these are, in our opinion, the fault of designers and NOT the hotel staff. As in many hotels one is asked to think of the planet and not ask for new towels daily. That would be fine if there was anywhere to hang used towels to dry but there is only one 40cm rail near the bath to hang them. So you either have fresh towels or wet ones....you decide. This id easily fixed. One is provided with bath gel from a dispenser located beneath the shower head so as soon as you dispense some gel onto your hand the shower washes it off....! Final gripe. The kettle lead is not long enough to reach the sockets si you have to move the kettle every time you want to use it. Other than these minor issues this is a great hotel that we will definately use again.

A wonderful three night stay for us from beginning to end. An interesting mix of ages, families, nationalities, business people, tourists, and even backpackers holing up in a nice place for a few days to get off the road.
Anthony Melchiorri would love the cleanliness of our room, both upon our arrival and when we returned each afternoon or evening. We often pass on establishments offering a complimentary breakfast, but what HGMP has to offer certainly satisfied us, whether we were looking for something light or more substantial. One of our evening meals had us both order the salmon and we thought we were on the pier in Santa Cruz, it was so good and fresh.
One of us was travelling pretty ill and trying to make the best of it. The front desk was very helpful making some arrangements for us, with the gentleman named Roman particularly outgoing helping with cabs, a luggage problem, and just checking in with us to see if we needed anything. Thank you Roman, you helped relieved our stress while so far from home.
We plan to return to Prague in the nest 2-3 years and HGMP will be our first pick for a place to stay.

The Grand Majestic Hotel is what I would call a functional city centre hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff and the location is very good for the city centre sites. The breakfast selection was very good with a glass of champagne on entry to breakfast. On one occasion we came back to our room to find it had not been cleaned but upon complaining a member of staff came up and gave us two clean bath towels, then another lady turned up to clean the room and omitted to leave coffee so then another lady came with a bag full of tea, coffee, sugar, etc. The hotel arranged our airport transfers which were bang on time.

Close to Metro, takes approx. 45 minutes from airport (bus & metro). Crisps/Water and mini-bar in room all chargeable, however don't use the small mini market just up street as we got ripped off buying water etc. Nice evening meal and breakfast. All staff friendly apart from one breakfast waitress. The breakfast room was busy, I could see a table being prepared, when I sat down the waitress said "you can see it's not ready", when I sat down anyway and said don't worry, she went off and I had to get my own knife and fork. My only disappointment, which may stop me staying again is that the beds are very soft. Be aware that you have to pay a small tax upon checking out.

On arrival, the facade of the hotel was very unassuming but after walking through the front doors it opened into a large reception area, incorporating the cocktail bar, meeting rooms, seating area and restaurant. Check-in was quick and smooth; no reservation number required or any hanging about. We showed our passports, paid the local tax, signed a form and then were off to our room after 5 minutes. The reception staff were really helpful and friendly. The hotel was modern and spotlessly clean throughout. The cocktail bar has a happy 'hour' from 1300 - 1800 when they are half price and we were also given a dinner voucher for 2 courses for 2 people for 20 euros, including a welcome drink, although we didn't use it. The room was spacious, well appointed with powerpoints/usb charging on the desk, mini fridge, free safe in the wardrobe and a tv with a few English speaking news channels. The bathroom had a hairdryer and toiletries too. My only criticism is that the pillows provided were too soft for my taste, a common finding though. The buffet style breakfast was great offering cereals, fruit, various breads/rolls, the usual cooked options, tea, coffee and juices. The hotel is really well situated with the metro around the corner and a short walk to the old town and an ideal base for a short break in the city. All staff were very professional and smart and if we return to Prague we wouldn't hesitate to choose the Grand Majestic again.

Our ski club group of 48 recently closed out our trip to Europe with a 3 night stay at Grand Majestic Plaza, and we wish to complement them for providing such kind hospitality our large group. Check-in was very smooth, and all were quite pleased with their clean and spacious rooms. The hotel sits on a quiet street yet is quite close to all the main Prague attractions and conveniences, such as Palladium Shopping and public transportation, The front desk personnel were so very pleasant despite some rather needy situations concerning luggage that did not arrive with the group, and we thank them for their assistance with that matter. They also provided tourist help to many in our group, and we thank them for that as well. In addition, the small gift and jewelry counter adjacent to Reception offered some very fine last minute souvenirs to many in our group. How fun that we had that last shopping opportunity. We enjoyed the abundant buffet breakfast very much, and the prosecco, lovely piano music and small sweet gift many received were such nice touches. It was fun trying some traditional Czech specialities, and everything was delicious! Having a lovely bar with so many relaxing spots for sitting and chatting with friends in the lobby area was great. We loved our stay in Prague and only regret that we could not have stayed longer. We will just have to return, and when we do, Hotel Grand Majestic Plaza will be our choice for accomodation.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of January having pre-booked via Booking.com. We has contacted the hotel beforehand requesting a twin room and were pleased to see the hotel had arranged this for us.
The location is right near Old Town, very close to the Palladium Shopping Mall and only a short walk to the Old Town Square. Plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and tourist attractions right nearby.
The hotel itself was clean and comfortable and the rooms were well equipped. All of the staff from the reception staff to the cleaners and restaurant staff were super friendly and helpful.
Our room rate included breakfast and we used this a couple of times during our stay. The selection was very good with hot and cold options as well as good selection of drinks. Depending on what time you go, it can get busy but we didn't have any issued getting a table or enough food.
On checkout, the hotel stored our bags for us whilst we went out as well.
Overall, a great hotel in an ideal location to explore the main attractions of Prague. We would happily return if we come back to Prague.

I always use a Company/App called Welcome Pick Ups. Have used them all over the world and been super happy with the service. Used them in Prague last year. I'm also going in January and will definitely be using them again then.
There are more places to choose from in the Prague area.
