This is a great little hostel right in the heart of Prague. Very good location just a short walk from the Charles Bridge (if you go "uphill" from the bridge, you walk almost directly to the front door). Highly recommend this place, it's a great value and it was a pretty nice hostel overall. Had an ensuite 6 person, and... More

Our stay here had both pros and cons. Firstly it is so centrally located which is fantastic as we were able to go out and see the City at night. The reception is also 24 hours which means arriving at 10pm wasn't an issue. However, I was of the impression I had booked a deluxe two bed apartment which one... More

The room was huge and it was very clean. It was more like an apartment with the kitchen included. The bathroom was modern and nicely kept. Location was great for that side of the river. I would not recommend staying here if you're going to spend all of your time in the main square though, it's a bit of a... More

I liked it a lot, the staff were friendly and the place is very well located (5 minutes from Charles Bridge) with several restaurants and ATM's around (very useful in Czech Republic). I stayed in a 10 people dorm and it was very clean and well organized. The bed was very comfortable. Internet connection was dissapointing, dropping every 5 minutes.... More

Our main reason for staying again was price and location. Our daughter loved that she had a whole separate room to herself. It is clean enough and fridge and kitchen facilities useful. No air conditioning but we could open windows and large rooms meant it was not really too hot even though August. Only complaint was that the bathroom had... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighborhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighborhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighborhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
