Wonderful hotel in a former monastery. All the staff provided a high level of service, particularly Pavel who was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. This hotel had the nicest bathroom, a huge walk in closet that I wish was standard in every property, and very comfortable bed. The maid service was amazing. Central location with easy access to Charles Bridge yet quiet and private. The concierge contacted me in advance and asked if I needed transportation from the airport and he arranged a car service to pick me up. Truly above and beyond service. Highly recommend.

We just finished our 3 days stay at this beautiful hotel. All we can say is WOW . Check in was super smooth. Front desk agent Danie ( toll, blonde guy. I think his name was Danie ) was very helpful and engaging. He offered us glass of prosecco and upgraded us to one of the junior suite without asking ( Bonvoy titanium here ) . Beautiful room with giant bathroom. Heated bathroom floor, double sink, shower and tub. It’s simply amazing. A la carte breakfast offers enough food. Service is as expected, amazing. Especially by Mehmet. They also have SPA . We checked it out but never used it. It looked beautiful. Some says its far from old city but its not far at all. Everything is in walking distance. Aguistine, a luxury collection made our Prag trip even more amazing. We will definitely come back.

An Excellent Hotel. Our stay could not have been more perfect. GM Gabriella Ditetova and her staff could not have been more courteous and the hospitality that they provided is top notch. From bellmen, front desk team, concierge and restaurant staff, we were treated to Great service. We will stay there again and we would recommend it to anyone. As a Marriott franchisee, we see a lot of hotels. This one is special. Stan and Alexis Kensinger.

This hotel is actually what the Luxury Collection brand is about: unique luxury hotels with a local flavor and memorable for having unique features. When it's well done, it beats even St.Regis and Ritz Carlton brand hotels in my opinion. Augustine is one such hotel. It's an old monastery converted to hotel, it has great location in the city walkable to Charles Bridge, and we were upgraded to a premium suite (Monastery Suite) as Ambassador Elite guest. It's not that I care much about doors, but it was noticeable that the bathroom door was the original metal door from the monastery, I had never seen in any hotel before. Near reception they had glühwein and sweets in the evening for the holiday spirit. In addition, breakfast was almost entirely a la carte which is more luxurious than hotels offering a buffet. There was free flow sparkling wine for breakfast as well. It very hard to find a flaw to this hotel and I can highly recommend it.

Dear WorldWideTravel88, Thank you for sharing such a glowing review of your experience at the Augustine! We're thrilled to hear that you found the essence of the Luxury Collection brand in our unique hotel, appreciating the local flavor and unique aspects such as the connection to the sill active Monastery. It's delightful to know that the historical aspects, like the original monastery bathroom door, added to your experience in the upgraded Monastery Suite, that used to serve as old treasure in the past times. We're glad the holiday spirit with hot mulled wine and sweets brought an extra touch to your stay and that the breakfast a la carte options were appreciated. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we look forward to welcoming you back for another exceptional stay. On behalf of the management team - Julie Hlavacova, Quality Manager

Beautiful hotel with a historic past within 10 minutes of the St Charles bridge. The employees are very nice. The food was delicious and the cocktails were lovingly made by the talented bartenders. One minor negative was that some of the rooms face a street where an electric street car passes through. Occasional low rumbles till 11:00 pm or so and starts up again 5-6 am ish. Really was not a problem for us. Prague is a great place to visit especially during the Christmas season.

Dear Openrode, Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for taking the time to share your positive experience! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the beautiful hotel, historic charm, and the convenient location near St. Charles Bridge. It's wonderful to know that our team left a positive impression, and we're thrilled you savored the delicious food and cocktails from our talented bartenders. We appreciate your understanding regarding the streetcar noise; we'll certainly consider how we can enhance the sound insulation in those rooms facing the Letenská street. We agree that Prague is magical during the Christmas season, and we're glad you had the opportunity to experience it. We hope to welcome you back for another memorable stay in the future! We booked this hotel for a romantic long weekend. What a great choice! Prague is a beautiful, but incredibly touristic town. The Augstine is perfectly located on "the other" side of the river, a stone-throw away from the iconic Charles Bridge which leads straight into the busy center. The hotel is an old abbey and you still feel the atmosphere. Nice restaurant with friendly service. We were told about a great brunch by friends. It was not bad; good quality but not a huge choice. Service is very friendly. Room was spacious and comfortable. Only disappointment was the Spa. We ordered two different massages; we both got the same treatment which was not even one of the two ordered.... (to be honest, the hotel reimbursed us 50%).

Dear edorlas, we appreciate you taking the time to write and share your review with us. We are happy that you liked the ambiance of our monastery and the warm service at our Augustine Restaurant. We sincerely regret any difficulty that the breakfast selections and the confused spa treatments may have caused. But thank you for your understanding, and we hope to have another opportunity to put things right in the future. We sincerely hope that your trip allowed you to experience Prague's splendor and make treasured memories. Again, we appreciate you selecting our hotel for your vacation, and we look forward to having you visit us again in the future. On behalf of the management team, Julie Hlavacova - Quality Manager

I'm not the kind to normally take the time to write a review--I either have to be blown away or filled with rage to do so. This time it was blown away. What a beautiful hotel! It's close to the St. Charles Bridge in a very private location which was a monastery built in the 1300's. In fact, one wing is still active and houses 4 monks. The hotel itself is understated and elegant with whitewashed walls and natural wood beams in the ceilings. As a Platinum Elite member we were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a Jr. suite which was large and comfortable. It had all the amenities you would expect in a luxury hotel. We especially enjoyed the breakfasts and the spa, where we had an excellent couples massage. Having said all this, this hotel won't appeal to everyone. As I write this, I'm staying at the Ritz Carleton in Budapest, and the difference is noticeable. Whereas the Ritz is opulent and glamorous, the Augustine is smaller, simpler and has a more authentic feel. It combines luxury with a certain charm that you won't get at the Ritz. We felt much more connected to the culture there. The staff is not as polished as at the Ritz, but they are friendly and eager to please. For us, it was the perfect place to stay. We couldn't have asked for more!

This hotel is absolutely lovely! Prague can be very overrun with tourists and crowded but this hotel was tucked away in a quiet area but still very close to the hustle and bustle and the major sights. As a platinum Marriott Bonvoy member, we were treated exceptionally! They gave us a room upgrade and also added small touches to the room that room that we very much appreciated. We traveled with our 3 year old daughter and they provided cute items for her to make our stay more comfortable. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and kind. The breakfast was also wonderful and with our status, we were able to order pretty much everything on the menu, which was incredible! The concierge assisted us in making restaurant recommendations and we were also able to buy tram passes directly from them. The rooms itself were very clean and beautifully decorated. I especially loved the bathroom. Only negative is that the windows are tiny and ours especially were high up so we could not look out of it but we did not really mind as we were out most of the day and considering that this is a historic hotel, it makes sense. I cannot recommend this hotel enough! Loved our stay here and made prague very enjoyable.
