The COSMOPOLITAN is a gorgeous 1889 townhouse carefully restored with a modern touch of the "belle époque" style. The newly redesigned luxury boutique hotel retains gentle aspects of this magnificent historic building, but transforms the interiors to create a dynamic mixture of old and new, past and present. The hotel is ideally located on a quiet street of the Prague Old Town, only a few steps from all important shopping and sightseeing attractions. 106 lavishly designed rooms and suites are decorated in elegant cream shades accenting contemporary accessory colours, specific to each room type. Luxurious bathrooms spoil with great size, heated floors and mirrors. The bedrooms come complete with plush amenities including complimentary tea & coffee, interactive TV, bathrobes & slippers or minibar, as well as many safety features. For relaxation or exercise a 24-hour gym and sauna are also available complimentary. Free Wi-Fi throughout. Smoke-free policy. Next Door restaurant by TV celebrity Chef Zdeněk Pohlreich is a must see venue with original 1889 ceiling frescos brilliantly complementing new design by an Italian architect Luciano Belcapo. Czech modern cuisine in a trendy bistro style made strictly from the freshest ingredients. Watching the well-coordinated chef orchestra in the open plan kitchen is just thrilling. Advance bookings recommended.

Detailed Reviews
Our second stay at this fantastic hotel. The hotel is modern, well managed, exceptionally clean and extremely well cared for. The staff are professional, well trained, friendly and efficient. The hotel is ideally located for Prague Old Town, with all the main sights being within walking distance. We arrived early morning and were given our room straight away. We were upgraded to an Executive room on the 9th floor which was very quiet. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have tv, safe, iron and ironing board and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathrooms are gorgeous with complimentary toiletries, hairdryer and underfloor heating. Breakfast is served in the restaurant next door and is of an exceptional standard, there is a great variety to choose from and the service is excellent. We can recommend this hotel very highly and will definitely stay here again.

I have been to Prague several times in the past, staying in hotels and apartments and both my wife and I agree this is the best we have stayed in, even though we have paid significantly more for other hotels. We arrived at this hotel and were greeted at check in by a very polite and professional team, who seemed genuinely pleased to see us. We were informed we had been upgraded to an executive room, which was a pleasant surprise. The room was a good size with a very comfortable bed, and the bathroom had everything you could need as well as Molton Brown toiletries. The room was heated/cooled via air conditioning and the bathroom was heated by under floor heating which is controlled independently by a thermostat on the bathroom wall.
We had booked the breakfast option and I was unsure as to what to expect as we have had some very hit and miss experiences with breakfast at other Prague Hotels. I need not have worried as even though it was a buffet option, everything was spot on, and the service was first class, effiecient without being intrusive.
Throughout the hotel everything is spotless, and all the staff were friendly and polite, I had the pleasure of meeting the Hotel Manager as we were checking out and was glad I had the opportunity to tell her in person she should be very proud of her entire team.
In summary everything was perfect, and some lovely little touches we received made this Hotel truly 5 star, we have stayed in some that were meant to be 5 star and were not!

This is a beautiful hotel and the details are great, it gives a luxury feeling that you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Everything is clean and the cleaning staff is doing a great job in the rooms too (they are also very friendly). The beds are comfortable and you have a nice bathtub with great water pressant in the shower which is great. Everything in the room is excellent except for the TV and entertainment. The channels aren’t great and you only have three movie channels or so and the Netflix function doesn’t work or isn’t allowed which I thought was strange for such a hotel. It would have been great to have that or something similar as an international guest. I thought the breakfast was great and very tasty and the staff in the Next Door restaurant is very good and friendly. There are options for vegetarians too but I would say it would be hard to eat there as a vegan and there are no options to cow milk from what I could see which would have been great to make it more suitable for vegans too.
Most of the staff are very friendly however there were some downsides that should not have happened in a 5 star hotel:
1. When you book a room though their website they say that they will offer you two glasses of sparkling wine or a bottle. Apparently they give you a voucher which the staff checking us in forgot.. I literally had to call them about this which wasn’t a nice feeling and they even questioned me about it, as if I tried to get a second one?? I found that very rude and not very classy.
2. One of the receptionists (I’m guessing a new member of the team) didn’t know what she was doing and was very rude over the phone when I called about the voucher issue and also about an issue with the room, which was actually shaking for a few hours due to some sort of disturbance. She promised me she would call back about the issue and how to solve it but she never did. In my opinion, having worked in several hotels myself, this is one of the worst things you can do and it should never be allowed in a 5 star hotel.
The management need to make sure that the staff is trained enough for these kind of problems and how to behave and follow up with the customers before they are able to work alone in reception.
Thank you for an overall nice stay and a special thanks to the housekeepers that did a great job!

My husband and I have just returned from a few days at this lovely hotel and would most certainly hope to return in the future. Check in and check out were very smooth and efficient and queries were always answered by the reception staff, one young man, Stanley, was particularly
helpful and knowledgeable about the transport system and the best buses and trams to use and his help was invaluable.
Our room was comfortable and it was easy to control the heating which was wonderful. I must highly
commend the housekeeping staff as everything was spotless both in our room and the rest of the hotel.
Breakfast was fine but not particularly great and dinner was also fine but food could have been less stodgy and warmer. However the waiting staff were wonderful, very efficient and pleasant (special thanks to Thomas & Martina). One very good point to note which appears to be common to all good restaurants in Prague, is the use by waiting staff to lay tables thus leaving glasses and cutlery spotless - I wish this was common to restaurants in this country, as all too often, even in very good restaurants, glasses are left with finger marks!!!
I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely hotel to anyone visiting Prague.

Our holiday started with the limousine ride from the airport which we pre-booked through the hotel. The driver gave us some information about the location of sites in Prague and some good tips. Jana on reception was very friendly and welcoming, and really got us excited for our holiday. The hold charge taken by the hotel was a bit of surprise (£140 of our holiday money was on hold before we even started), but we appreciated how promptly we got this back at the end of the holiday. The room was lovely and clean, and there was no noise from outside. We could often hear noise form other rooms, but this was less of a problem in the night and we had no trouble sleeping. The individual quilts are a great touch, no fighting over the duvet in the night. The breakfast was delicious with a huge amount of choice and plenty of attentive staff available to help. They were very helpful with my partner's peanut allergy, and were able to advise which foods would not be appropriate for him to have. A mere 10 minute walk from Old Town Square, the location is perfect. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I stayed in this lovely hotel for 2 nights last week and it was perfect. My room wasn’t ready on arrival but my bag was stored and when I got back it had been taken to my room. Location is great, 10 mins walk from Old Town Square. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and the prosecco was a nice treat! Rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The only reason I haven’t scored it 5 is that for a 5 star hotel I would expect to be able to have a drink in a bar/lounge area. It has a restaurant only so had to go over the road to what was presumably a sister venue to have a drink. On check out they not only stored my bag but also those of my son and his girlfriend who had checked out of their budget apartment; it made such a difference to our last day in Prague not to be dragging bags around. Great customer service throughout my stay.

I have stayed here several times and each time the place is fantastic. The staff, the hotel atmosphere, the quality of the room, the upgrade on arrival, the bottle of wine. The place is super clean, the rooms are high quality, the restaurant breakfast and meals are great too. I have stayed at some big Vegas hotels and others on my travels but this little Prague hotel is my favourite. The gave me a late checkout and even kept my bags until late in the evening. They even provide hotel limos to collect you from the airport for not much money. Its worth it. I recommend this place. Location is great, just 10/15 mins to the very touristy areas, there are shops and a shopping centre 2 minutes walk. Airport is about 15 mins and easy to get to. Thank you guys.

Stayed for six nights for wife's birthday to do a bit of culture indulgence.
Hotel transfer from airport were spot on with a mini guided tour & lots of useful information from driver, who was polite.
Hotel was very clean , good decor in room all amenities were of a high standard.
Front desk were very courteous & extremely helpful in giving directions to attractions nothing seemed to much trouble. This was again repeated in the restaurant staff gave great service throughout the hotel.
Hotel location was good for accessing all major attractions easily on foot.
Lots of bars & restaurants in the city overwhelmed for choice.
Will definitely return & stay at this hotel.

Hotel has a terrific restaurant as does its sister hotel (The Imperial) across the street. I was quarantined for 9 days in the hotel having tested positive for Covid the day before my scheduled return to the US. The staff was unbelievable during my extended stay led by the hotel manager Blanka. The hotel manager checked on my multiple times a day, the staff offered to go to the pharmacy to pick up my medications, if I called for towels or tissues or anything it was delivered within minutes. The front desk staff assisted with technology issues and Blanka kept a room available for me even after I checked out, just to make sure I could actually board a plane to leave. On one occasion when the airline refused to let me fly I returned to the hotel and a room was reserved for me despite the fact that the hotel was booked for Easter weekend. In all the years I have traveled I have never had as favorable experience at a hotel as I did during this visit. If you are staying in Prague this is the hotel to book!

Due to renovations at the Art Deco Hotel we were re-booked into their sister Hotel Cosmopolitan across the road and we’re glad they did. The slightly unimpressive exterior hides the sheer quality of the interior. The hotel is designed to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. We had an Executive room on the second floor which was fit out to an excellent standard and very spacious. Bathroom was both large and well set out. Beds were comfortable however our only gripe throughout the whole stay was that it was a little noisy in the morning (6am), with trams and early morning delivery vehicles. Bit of a shame, however you have to get to work in a city the size of Prague.
Buffet breakfast was served in the stylish restaurant and there was a wide choice to suit all tastes. Excellent food quality and the staff were very efficient and friendly.
We ate in the restaurant twice it was so good. It is clearly a popular spot and was full all week so a reservation is probably a good idea. The food is moving towards fine dining and was delicious. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was lively and not stuffy at all. Reasonable prices for the quality.
Location is great for either the Old or New town. We used the limo service to and from the airport which was seamless.
All in all it was an excellent place to stay and would confidently recommend it to anyone.
