Breakfast, which was praised in many reviews was less than average - very limited choice and they use small plates only!!! So unless you are seriously watching your diet or are not shy to go for refills few times, you have a problem.
From the new technology, (and it is incredible what you can see nowadays in some other hotels) they have very poor wi-fi in rooms and an electronic door lock (ugly looking) with a keypad. The feeling is that every time you walk to your room you are scared that the lady with the mechanical voice would scold you for not remembering your code. Thermostat regulating the ac is from the time such a device was invented and so user unfriendly that they had to glue a small manual on the wall next to it. Not to mention that you could not regulate the temperature at all, meaning you could not even turn it off.
As for the parking, make sure you don't drive a "big" car because you will not be able to use the garage you made the reservation for. Big cars are parked on a nearby, not private parking, practically on the street, for which you also have to pay.
Bathrooms are renovated, but the switch nob on the shower is something I have never seen in my life! I read that many guest complained about it not working, but it turned out that it only operates in the totally opposite way of everything logical you experienced before.
All in all, Prague is a definite YES, but you might want to find different accommodation. And bare in mind that this is a hotel chain - so I would be very careful with all hotels under this brand.
I booked "EA Hotel Jeleni Dvur Prague Castle" and arriving there I found out that they decided NOT TO OPEN as apparently reservations were not enough.
They send us to another "EA Embassy Prague Hotel", which also belongs to them.
My term while booking, was to have a safe parking, which original location would provide. But at the new hotel, while claiming "all terms were same", they told me to park somewhere under the bridge, with a lots of people drinking and making grafitti and there was trash all around. This area was not protected at all. They also told me I would have to pay money for this parking.
After asking receptionist who would give me guarantee that my car would not be damaged during night, she said "I dont know, I am just a hotel".
I tried to call them, wrote email to explain how they ruined my travel. Nobody answered, nobody apologised that I made my way to Prague and was left without any safe parking space.
This was the first time I cried because of bad service. I dont want anyone else to experience the same.
Hotel should not be selling rooms if they are not open!
The breakfast was good and also the staff.
There are bus and metro station about 2-3 minutes on foot but the location isn't the best, isn't at the city center.
As for breakfast it was very good and plenty to choose, the hotel is well located to take trams and busses and ideal for a few days stay in Prague.
Firstly they didn’t give me and my family Room that we BOOKED on site. They said that it is all depends on availability. They fixed problem with room only next day and we moved there. In this room I found a whole ant colony on my bedside table and also on pillow, blanket, etc.
AC is incredibly loud so you basically need to choose either sleep but with no air in your room or to not sleep but with cool air. I would never come to this hotel again and highly recommend you to not come either.
"There is a convenience store a few doors up the street. Good for stocking up on water etc. "K Two Brothers" Indian restaurant is close by and a good place to eat."Read full review
"Bring your bikini and swimsuit for newly opened bath in hotel. Only 8 euroes. You have to book it. Castle in Prague you have to book."Read full review
"The earlier you go for breakfast, the better. Later on the dining area may get a little busy."Read full review
