Stayed for 3 nights and really emjoyed the city and hotel . Staff friendly and polite . The room was clean and bright with views of the museum and wenceslas sq. Did not eat there as were out and about all day but handy 24 hour mini supermarket across the road selling most things. Found a really cool restaurant called S+I used by all locals ,we were the only english people there, serving very good food at non tourist prices !!. Also very friendly Irish sports bar close showing all football, rugby etc called Rocky O ,Reilly's. Would definitely recommend the hotel and the beautiful city of Prague.
Just returned from a two night city-break in Prague, staying at the Occidental Praha Wilson : very impressed ! Conveniently located just a few steps from the “ Museum “ stop on the A-line metro ( 45 mins or so from the airport, including a short ride on the 119 bus to the the station nearest the terminal ) this small hotel gave us a friendly welcome - and an upgrade when the check-in clerk noticed it was my wife’s birthday ! Our room was well appointed, warm and spotlessly clean. Although fronting the road ( looking directly across at the magnificent National Museum building ! ) it was also nice and quiet. The bed was large and very comfortable, and the shower excellent. The buffet-style breakfast provided hot and cold options, and we thought was excellent. The hotel’s location, at one end of Wenceslas Square, makes it convenient for a walk down through the Old Town, then across the Charles Bridge and up the hill to Prague Castle on other side of the river. I’d estimate the distance at one and a half to two miles. We enjoy walking ( and had taken our walking boots...) but for those not fancying the walk back there’s the option of two-stop ride on the A-line metro once you get back across the river having visited the castle. Once we’d worked out that tickets on the Prague metro are priced by time ( ie you buy x-minutes of travel from the point at which you validate your ticket in one of the machines on the platform or train ) we found the metro easy to use, and exceptional value. We had a most enjoyable stay.…
Located right at the heart of Prague in Muzuem stop. Excellent links to the Old Town Square and Charles Bridge. Would have no hesitation in staying here again. Room service excellent and so was the WIFI. Only downside was that the room was quite warm with no way to cool it down apart from opening the windows to the noisy exterior. I would stay here again, perhaps not in the winter though :)
Perfect location in the heart of Prague, rooms with views of Wenceslas Square, National Museum, Prague State Opera House. Public Transport, Metro Station outside, Uber on hand. Friendly staff, lovely room with a view opposite the National Museum & Opera House. Ideal location to the most popular & important tourist attractions, we visited the Heart of Europe for the first time over the Valentines weekend. Beautiful monumental memories to take home, full of culture, history, architecture, warm welcoming people. Lovely city, hope to visit again soon.
