Hvezda - Imperial Ensana Health Spa Hotel is the perfect destination for a spa program. Located in one of Marienbad’s most beautiful buildings dating from 1905, as the Czech name ‘Hvezda’ suggests, the hotel has a starry charm and sits in the perfect location near Maria’s Church on Goethe Square, where its namesake, the famous German poet first met his love, Ulrika. Many distinguished guests have stayed here, including English King Edward VII. Guests will also feel like royalty in the superior four-star rooms and suites.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
We have never been in medical spa before until we stayed at Hvezda hotel and we loved it! The hotel itself was breathtaking and the staff friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the procedures and the food. We were thinking we will eat healthy to shed few pounds but forget it - the buffet tables are irresistible. The rooms are spacious and I would I would like to give huge thanks to housekeeping department as the hotel (rooms as well as public spaces) were spotless! There are only 2 things worth bringing up that were little negative - one was the little carpets by the bed. There was no tape on the bottom so it was moving every time you stepped on it which might be little dangerous for elderly and the parking which is not much the hotel can do about it. The parking lot we had to park at was over a mile away which makes it inconvenient. Overall, we had a great time and thank you all staff for making our first trip to medical spa memorable!

An oasis of well-being in the midst of unhappy reality. Wonderful interior, comfortable and spacious apartments, great food (including gluten-free), nice and helpful staff, amazing wellness center. I highly recommend for a relaxing stay.

The experience of combining quality resorts with treatments strengthens my health. Our first time in this special hotel: two weeks of intensive treatments under the supervision of a talented medical team, professional and caring and quality recreation in a place that is all health with amazing green landscapes, an atmosphere of peace and quiet - a fun life. Reception of the hotel with caring representatives who will always answer every problem and question with a smile and a desire to help. We received an upgrade to an amazing suite, but unfortunately we wanted to change to another room because the suites in the bathroom do not have a shower and a high bath that is not suitable for my mother. Our room was renovated and beautiful with air conditioning, a beautiful balcony, an advanced shower room, large beds with high quality mattresses, daily cleaning services at a very good standard. The dining room is always arranged at a high standard with a professional and professional stewardess staff, a tasty and varied variety of food at breakfast and dinner - we loved it very much. A hearty and caring medical staff always takes care, helps and invigorates, so that everything will pass very well. Treatments according to the referral of a physician, are always done at a precise and professional time. A state-of-the-art spa that includes a pool with waterfalls, a Jacuzzi and saunas and wet and clean saunas and is open until 21:00. Without a doubt, the hotel is suitable for a high level of healing.

Stayed at the 4* Hvezda for 2 nights following a 5 night stay at the 5* Nove Lanze, so this was bound to bias my view. They are two very different experiences, but I really wouldn't rate the Hvezda at 4* except for the access it gives to facilities in the Centralni and Nove hotels. It is significantly cheaper and the rooms more modern. I even got a balcony, but given the weather I didn't use it much. Personally, I prefer the charm of the Nove. This is more of a family hotel.
The biggest issue for me was the dining arrangements. The dining room at the Hvezda was very packed and the area where you get your food is relatively small. The tight time restrictions (breakfast 7-10, dinner 6-8) make this a very noisy and unpleasant experience given the intensity of use of the small spaces. Later in these sessions appears a bit better, less kids around and a bit more quiet.
Access to the facilities is the same as the other hotels in the group, but the distance to the Roman Baths in the Nove is considerable and I don't think a lot of Hvezda customers make it that far. There is a biggish swimming pool with saunas and steam in the Hvezda, but the pool is very busy and the saunas and steam bath quite small and a bit crowded. Had a couple of treatments included in my package: mineral bath was great, the CO2 bath less so, not very clear what benefit it was and the agressive woman running it when I was there made it worse.
This is far better for families than couples or people on their own like myself. If I visit the area again it will only be stay at the Nove... Just not the right place for me.

We always try to provide the best service and we are very sorry if we do not achieve this. Within the hotel complex there is a difference between the capacity of the Hvězda Hotel, which has 238 rooms, and the Nové Lázně with 97 rooms. Different clients from different countries have different requirements and type of services in terms of occupancy and size The interconnection between the Spa Resort Hvězda - Maria Spa and Centralní Lázně and the Nové Lázně is a unique corridor . All under one roof (treatments, cafes, lobby bars, concert hall Casino), You walk through 19th century buildings with a described history , without having to go out on the street. Yes, guests from each hotel can visit the two swimming pools in the Hotel Hvězda and the Roman Baths in Hotel Nové Lázně, which are located at each end of the corridor. There is a high occupancy rate with more guests cumulating at certain times . The meal service is only differs by 30 minutes with hotel Nové Lázně . Guests can choose a more convenient time for breakfast or dinner. Thank you for your comment for the Co2 dry gas bath treatment. We will use the feedback to improve our service. We apologize for the unpleasant experience.This treatment is highly sought after and beneficial , using natural healing resources. This treatment of the spa resort of Marienbad, where the gas that bubbles naturally out of the ground –Maria’s gas’ – is used in the treatment. This gas is of volcanic origin and contains 99.7%CO2 During the treatment, you lie comfortably and on a bed, enclosed in a large plastic bag that is sealed just under the arms. The gas is then pumped into the bag, which slowly inflates, and is absorbed through the clothes and skin into the body, where it slows down heart aktivity and reduces blood pressure. The gas also improves blood circulation and kidney activity and has an anti-inflammatory effect. We are pleased to praise the services and ambiente within the resort at the Nové Lázně Hotel which have contributed to making your stay more enjoyable. 5 star hotel does not meet the requirements at all ! There is no iron, electric teapot, baby stroller. We came here first time with baby and was so problematic to get to hotel because funicular doesn’t work after 19:00pm . Also the Staff is very rough, inadequate room cleaning

We stayed two nights in this hotel after a 8 days road-trip in the whole country. We booked this establishment to relax after a tiring trip.
So let's begin. We paid 200 euros per night including the parking. The parking is just near the hotel outside and not even guarded. I had to park the car myself while the porter was waiting for me.
Our room was not even in the same building, we had to pass in a corridor below the street and take 2 elevators to go to the restaurant and lobby.
The room was small which a balcony on the street. The beds are stiff (2 separated beds) and the room was INSANELY NOISY. We could hear our neighbor on the left snoring, on the right with his screaming TV, on top walking on his room. Added to that you have the WC from the top neighbors and the cleaning lady who starts vacuuming at 08:00 AM and knocks at our door in German at 08:30AM. We forgot to put the card do not disturb but it is utterly useless.
The pool is ok, very crowded if you don't choose the hours carefully.
We tried 7 hotels in our trip and this one was the worst by far especially when you look at the price.
It feels very impersonal. The staff is not even friendly and you clearly see that you disturb them. The whole complex is like an hospital with a lot of elderly couples and staff dressed in white.
And I forgot that no one speaks English but the receptionist.
For the breakfast it is German style or nothing.
I'll join a photo of the "parking" (10€/day).
Final words, don't go there.

Great location: on a small hill far from noisy main street and just in 5 minutes walk from Collonade. Superior plus room was comfortable, we had spacious bathroom. Large swimming pool. Medical service was good. Different breakfast, but poor choice at dinner in the evening (few dietary food). The main disappointment was noise from neighbours because of thin walls (we could heard them speaking and watching TV).

I was very impressed by the tastefully furnished rooms and the high quality food service. We had booked halfboard and I have the impression that the food is better now than some years ago. Hotel Hvezda has its own swimming pool. There are bathrobes available in the rooms.
The only negative experience I had this time was the outbreak of the terrible war against Ukraine and the refusal of the hotel to block Russian state owned propaganda channels from the hotel's TV offer. Channels like "Rossyja 24" and "Perwy Kanal" continue to be broadcasted in all ENSANA hotels. Yes, there are many Russian tourists staying at the hotel, but I think they should not be exposed to Russian propaganda while they are staying in the Czech Republic. Not in a situation where innocent civilians are killed every day. I hope that ENSANA will send a signal of humanity and solidarity by removing russian state propaganda channels from its TV-offer.

I was there for two weeks in February 2019 and definitely want to come ones again.Very comfortable clean room, big choice of the tasty dishes in the restaurant. There are different medical solutions for your health: massage, mineral bath and so on... Very big inside swimming pool with jacuzzi and sauna.

Excellent location, historic building, good customer service , facilities and food. The city of Mariansky Lazny is magnificent On arrival we were given room that looks right on hotel entrance and it was noisy. After complaining we were offered two options as a replacement , so we have chosen quiet room with no balcony but modernly renovated. Some minor wrinkles and suggestions: Would be great to have pool time extended to at least 10 pm. Hotel has a bit strange arrangement with seats at restaurant: you cannot pick you own seat, instead you are allocated some seat which may be changed during your stay. Another strange thing: cofee and tea are only free for breakfast.

As for the restaurant: It is not possible to let the guest sit freely in such a big restaurant. Fixed seeting is the best and also easiest way to have a general knowledge of our guests and their special needs. It is also helps our stuff with organization of the service. Coffee and tea for breakfast is served for free in all of our hotels. For lunch and dinners our guest have free water. It mostly done to support drinking of mineral springs during the day. Добрый день! Стоянка есть. Под корпусом Империал недавно сделали подземную парковку. Была раньше небольшая снаружи, не знаю сохранили ли её. Вообще отель в курортной зоне, поэтому на улице вы просто так не встанете.
По расценкам не подскажу, есть смысл, мне кажется, написать в отель или глянуть на Букинге по цене. Если постоянно пользоваться машиной не планируете, можно загнать её на бесплатную парковку. Возле отеля Свобода например. Это не рядом конечно, но зато бесплатно
Конечно можно. Я думаю это будет немного дороже,но вы получите именно те процедуры, какие вы предпочитаете, если не будут ограничения со стороны врача.
По поводу стоимости, я думаю если покопаться на сайте санатория, то можно найти стоимости процедур.
