This place is definitely worth the trip. Went there several times, and always loved the food, cooked with very good "farmers" ingredients. Very well done classical food, it is so tasty. Good wine list, but it is a pity that the wine by the glass offer is, to say the least, poor. I'm sure people would be happy to pay few extra crowns for a better pairing.
The hotel is very nice too, very pleasant stay.

This is a beautiful and quite place. It's a countryside diamond. We were very surprised to find that gorgeous place. We've got a very warm welcome. The staff is very nice. The price is very low compared to what the place offers. Very cozy rooms, nicely decorated.
I strongly recommend this place to everyone. It's a great place for young couples, elder couples and even a great place for some friends to stay in.

I visited Statek Ceska Lipa in December 2012 for the first time being part of a group of 20 adults and 10 kids between 7 months and 5 years of age. We chose the place to celebrate the New Year because some of the group members had previous good experience with it. We were not disappointed this time and in fact I would not hesitate to rate this place as the most family friendly place I have ever visited.

As you can imagine 10 kids of the age given can turn any place upside down. Now try to work three 12 hour shifts in a row, serve in the middle of this "organised" chaos and keep a smile on your face. You might find it unbelievable but the staff did exactly that. In fact even more! They were friendly towards the kids and even found the time for a quick chat with the little ones! The adults on the other hand were never short of their attention either with glasses always full and plates on their way as ordered.

The ambiance of the place is gorgeous. The whole building has got a lot of character, yet it is modern and clean as one would expect. We stayed in a maisonette room which was ideal as that allowed us to keep an eye on the children yet keep a nice level of privacy for ourselves. The rooms are done up to a high standard with beautiful decorations and lovely bathrooms.

The accommodation would for most people be "in the middle of nowhere", yet the area still offers a lot of opportunities to see places, hike or ski. And for those missing the civilisation there is free internet throughout the hotel.

The place made such an impression on me that I am sure we will be back.

This review has nothing to do with the quality of food or accomodation wich seems to be really great. Unfortunately, due to a horrible tretment of a service we rather left and canceled our reservation. A young lady, which was at the reception to accomodate us was so rude to us it left me and my husband shoked. She treated us like bad and dump children. Making annoyed faces when we asked about the rooms, commanding us rudly... Perhaps not she was just mature enough to handle the feeling of having a power over someone and using it at any oportunity. Although the place it self looked nice we decided not to accomodate there and rather left to try find other last minute accomodation. I hope this review will help the mamagement to fix this issue.

After reading all the reviews, I booked a short vacation here but seems like more a hit and miss kinda of place.

Pros
1. The place is new and well taken care off.
2. I think good for big parties or team building events.

Cons.
1. They ask you to pay first in full before you see your room, request to see the room and avoid the rooms by the road as they are too noisy. Choose the new rooms where the Gym is located.
2. The staff are very junior, they have no authority. I was asked to pay immediately in full when I arrived to the hotel by the waiter as there was no receptionist. Then when I asked to change the room, they said they have no authority to do so. I was accommodated in the last room on the top floor next to the road when the occupancy was like 20% :(
3. The staff seemed to change every day, really some were terrible and the others listened.
4. There was no air-condition in the room and no visible display of Wi-Fi usage.
5. I asked the staff where to place the bicycles and they said in the corridor, after walking around the place I found a bicycle storage room but no one had access.
6. There is major construction a few meters from this place which is noisy every day and the road is closed so you have to find a different way to get here, no info from Hotel about it.
7. The Sauna, Gym and Spa entrance is a mystery, no one informed us when is it open or do we have to pay extra to use these facilities.
8. The occupancy was really low so I guess no one took care about the guests, the Breakfast Buffet was cancelled for 3 days without notice and only the waiter said it was due to low occupancy so I can order eggs and bread for free with Tea/Coffee.
9. Would avoid this place if you are looking for a relaxing week-end with services offered as they mention on their website.

Just being honest with my review as I was really looking forward but maybe I was there at a bad time or they just didn't care due to such low occupancy.

My wife and I were invited to a museum opening in Klatovy and decided based on recommendations to stay at this hotel, a few miles north of the city. What a positive surprise! Our room was large, pleasantly furnished and clean, as was the bathroom. Free Wifi. The staff was friendly and competent. We don't have much experience of Czech hotels outside of Prague, but two nights including breakfast and two evening meals with beer and coffee in the EXCELLENT restaurant cost less than US$200 for both of us.

very clean hotel with pretty decoration that is rare in the area
located in a little village, the hotel is very quiet (you can just ear some dogs or a cock in the night)
be careful it is more a room rental than a hotel : no soap or shampoo in the room, no TV for most of the rooms and no one will re-make your bed (you have to do it by yourself)
little restaurant inside with typical czeck food
breakfeast is quite poor
poor level of english
good WIFI
you have also to know that it is difficult to reach (specificaly in winter)

Great food, excellent service, nice and comfortable rooms in beautiful surroundings. I spent there 3 nights and I was surprised for the very helpful waiters, the level of cleanliness and for the quality of food. The rooms are nice and thanks a god without TV. I can really recommend this place for families and those, who like sport. The place is ideal for running, cycling or just walking around. I am not sure whether the sport facilities (tennis, football, volleyball, etc.) are finished, but they seems like almost finished. I was very satisfied!
