One of Our Best Meals in the Czech Republic
We stopped for lunch at the hotel restaurant while touring the area and enjoyed one of the best meals we experienced during our week in the Czech Republic. Elegant and sophisticated ambience, gracious and welcoming hospitality, and delicious food beautifully presented. It is worth going out of your way to enjoy a meal here.

The best place for eating out in the region
We are frequent visitors of the hotel restaurant. We have not stayed in the hotel as we have our own place there. The interior is modern an clean. Staff is friendly. Food is good. There is high quality Czech food there, but some internationa meals are on the menu as well try the desserts.

A lovely hotel with a great restaurant
A very good choice for visiting the Sumava national park. Located in the very centre of the small town. Tourist information, museum, Coop, restaurants/pubs literally next door. The hotel is very good and comfortable, service comes with a smile. The restaurant serves gourmet food at reasonable cost. We haven't stayed indoors much, and didn't even enjoy the pool. English is hardly spoken.

very nice staff, very accommodating and friendly. location is perfect for hike to the castle and right next to a good cafe and pivovar hospoda. rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. nice pool too with massage jets, great after hiking all day. decent wi-fi. breakfast was good with plenty of options. minor complaint that the tv in the room was literally almost smaller than my tablet.

I never write reviews yet I always check both good and bad, but it has been so shocking that you should be aware before going. The hotel facilities are relatively well maintained and the swimming pool is very nice, however there are several issues worth noting: 1. the floor is wooden and not well insulated, you can hear anybody walking even lightly in the room above you 2. if the room is hot you need to open the windows to cool down over night, but that is one source of the problems - if the room is facing the city center you get permanent light in and a lot of noise coming from the street including the quarterly bell from the nearby church, bad sleep. 3. but the above is nothing compared to the service in the restaurant, it is rude and cocky. Nothing is possible. Not kind. If feels like they are your customers not the other way around. It is just the demeanor not right. Very unprofessional. 4. finally when you try to open the building front door you get stuck on the wooden handle as for some reason it is very sticky If you can put up with the above, you may very well like the stay.

Even with a parking-lot view, we enjoyed our stay. Rooms were comfortable and nicely appointed. Staff was cheerful and quick to handle questions. (Not much English spoken in the town or surroundings). Cuisine is better than one might expect this far from a big city. In all, an excellent base for exploring this scenic mountainous area, which is evidently popular with Czechs but little known to others.

Did a two week tour of Prague and Czech Republic and this was one of our favorite hotels. Great rooms - large, airy, wonderful bathrooms. Great food and bar service. Historic hotel but totally remodeled interior. Largest hotel pool I have ever seen in a separate building. After a day of hiking in Sumava Mountains, pool a great choice. Really recommend. Great location on main street, near city information center and Natural History museum. Convenience stores and larger market closely.

What's not to love? A gorgeous Medieval town, beautiful hotel with a full size Olympic INDOOR pool. Rooms are simple, clean with hand held shower in bathroom. No English TV which was a blessing to get away from all the US political news. Easy travel to local towns and the highest castle in the Czech Republic. The biggest surprise was the gourmet chef who created exquisite meals every night. A definite must stop on your way through Bohemia.

Great place to eat and stay. Surprisingly good cuisine. Clean rooms. You can charge electric car in their parking lot too! The bar offers nice selection of single malt whiskies. The staff is very professional for this part of Bohemia. One of the best places in the whole Sumava hills.

We made a short trip to Sumava and had a lunch in hotel Kasperk´s restaurant. They have a great offer of burgers and other meat-meals, but I as a vegetarian have chosen salat with bulgur, beetroot and goat cheese...and didn´t regret :). Unfortunatelly the home made blackberry lemonade was already sold out and the only thing I regret is that i didn´t try any desert...I should have! The service was fine, environment pleasant - with lovely view of the main square with all beautiful buildings. I will come back!

I have spent two nights with my daughters. Room was clean, beds all nice including an extra ounces for kids. Swimming pool warm, and clean. Food was very tasty and service crew always nice and friendly. Food cost is a bit higher for such a location and I was missing an option for kids - very little kids meal selection.

Nice hotel with great location. The room looks good, although the bed is not very comfortable and there's no minibar. The hotel has a swimming pool with a nice view but it would be nice if there was a whirpool or sauna in these colder days. They also offer massages - I can recommend the Lomi Lomi which is very relaxing, the masseuse was very nice. The restaurant is cosy with a beautiful interior and very tasty menu based on seasonal ingredients. I would recommend the salad with goats cheese and beef with ratatouille. What was a disappointment was the breakfast. The selection is small, the coffee is not the best and the hot food was almost cold both days of our stay.
