American couple and first-timers in Karlovy Vary (& Czech Republic in general) - the hotel was very pretty and the view was lovely - the hike to/from the city was a bit difficult. Even harder though was the fact that the staff didn't speak great English and/or wasn't very willing to assist us. A very "hands-off" approach, which is great for some travelers, but was hard for us because we had questions on transportation, recommendations, etc - I even asked the woman there if she could help by making our reservation in Czech at a spa and she said no… I think this was because of the language barrier though. I enjoyed my stay and the hotel really was pretty but if you are unfamiliar with the area or the language, Villa Rosa's hands-off approach to customers won't help you. That said,

Old world charm, perched overlooking the spa area of old town. A great view, cooling breezes, large and clean suite, helpful and friendly staff. Limited parking in a gated area, very safe. Take the footpath down to the old town to see the faded glory of Karlovy Vary.

Need to stay to appreciate the greatest view of Karlovy Vary. The staff went out of there way to make it the most enjoyable getaway. We would like to thank all at Villa Rosa for all they done for our family.

Very pleasant hotel with a beautiful view over Karlovy Vary, only 5 mins from the old centre. Rooms are clean and spacious, fridge in the room. Good breakfest. Pleasant owners make you feel really at home.

Pension Villa Rosa sits in a superb location overlooking Karlovy Vary - a really magic view, though that does mean you have to walk a path downhill/uphill for about 10 minutes when travelling between the hotel and the old town. But it's so pretty! Our room was comfortable and quite spacious, and a good breakfast was provided in a room downstairs; not the biggest range you'll ever find, but absolutely sufficient for us and it included the offer of cooked eggs. Karlovy Vary is a gem, and we only have great memories of our stay at Villa Rosa. We'd go there again in a heartbeat.

There's a reason that Villa Rosa is so highly rated. It's perched right above Karlovy Vary (one of the most picturesque places you'll ever visit). We had requested room 6 based on previous reviews and it did not disappoint, with commanding views and the lush Spring blooming before our very eyes. Upon arrival Josef met us and it was obvious his English was limited. He communicated in Czech and me in Polish and it all just worked. He's so good natured and smiley that you can't help liking him immediately! The room is spacious with good bed and individual doonas (like much of Europe). The room is well appointed and neat and modern, although the pillows are a little thin and could do with replacement. Tea and coffee facilities are a nice touch and there is a small fridge, safe

We stayed here (room #1) for 2 days early February and enjoyed every moment! Stunning view from our balcony. Very clean, quiet, warm and cozy place with a friendly owner, Josef. Our welcome was a joy - felt like you were staying in someone's home. We loved walking to/from to Karlovy Vary town centre, though the pathways were in places slippery with the snow and ice. Josef cooked our breakfasts and whilst his English is very limited, we had no problems communicating. Thanks Josef for driving us to our next destination. Highly recommend this place. Regards - Timothy (Australia)

The hotel Pension Villa Rosa is a very good place for stay both for families and individual visitors. The rates of the rooms are not so expensive, and therefore stay in the hotel provides very good combination of price/quality. The location of the hotel is very convenient since one can reach the center of the city in 15-20 minutes by foot. The hotel is located on the hill just in the front of the city center, and its view is absolutely picturesque and unforgettable. All facilities and their condition are very fine. The heating of the hotel is very good (I did stay in the room located on the ground floor and though it was on January (with its cold temperatures) I did feel myself very comfortably because even floors in the room are heated). The owner of the hotel is very

We stayed there for 6 days and enjoyed every moment! Stunning view from our balcony made every day special, especially watching New Year fireworks. Very clean, quiet and cozy place with friendly stuff. It may be difficult for people with walking problems, thought. It takes 10 minutes walk to all the beauties of Karlovy Vary. Would definitely come again.

I am trying to find words, which have not been used in the previous reviews, to describe our stay at Villa Rosa, but it's not so easy... Our suite is warm, very clean and, like everyone else already mentioned, with a great view of the city! The size of the suite is ideal for a family of four (children up to 5 yrs). The bathroom is new and always clean! Coming to the breakfast, there is everything one needs to start the day and the wonderfully kind Wonder Woman, who takes care of everything in the house, is ready to cook an egg for you anyway you like it! I have stayed in several "5 star" hotels so far, which offered several "in brochure catcher" services to make the stay enjoyable, but never managed to make me feel like not wanting to leave, as I do now...
