    Good but lackig some detail
The spa hotel is a conveniently located place with a cozy ambiance. The staff is helpful. The spa is small but OK for a refreshing dip into the pool in the afternoon. We had a room on the 4th floor, which turned quite hot during the day. Though the weather was very hot at that time, it cooled down during the night, so it was quite OK for us. Still, we later found out that the hotel offers air-conditioned rooms on the 5th floor for the same price. So make sure to get a room on the top floor. The breakfast offers a variety of different kinds of food. Especially the availability of traditional Czech sausages was the highlight for us. Make sure to reserve a parking lot for your stay. The hotel offers a limited number of parking lots in front of the house. As parking in general is very complicated in this town, you might end up using one of the carparks at the outskirts, if you don't reserve a place. Book your places in advance!

    Nice staff
I really enjoyed staying in this hotel “Iris” in Karlovy Vary. Head Doctor Mr. Yuriy Onisko attentive, head nurse Mrs. Tana (apologies if spelling is incorrect, and I can’t remember the surname) organized SPA treatments well and does the CO2 injections so well, SPA staff is professional, kitchen staff makes selection of foods, waiters are nice, cleanliness is very good! Reception staff is quick and helpful. Thanks to all responsible staff of “Iris” Hotel. It is Quiet Hotel, although full of people, even with kids, quiet, not big Hotel. I used to stay in 5 star hotels in Karlovy Vary in the past, but somehow such 4* hotels also good. I wish to return back in this hotel when I can next time.

Not without glitches, bit excellent facility overall
Small boutique hotel (30 rooms or so). Its success is due to excellent Ukrainian doctor and very modern spa and medical facilities - all in mint condition. Excellent and various food - also due to UA chef. Nice small club for evening conversations or TV However some glitches should be expected when staff tries to deal with unexpected - then they fail, but if you are OK with very high general level of service, than its probably one of the best small hotels in the town. Highly recommended (again, despite some failures, which should have been treated in a more professional way, but that the way of the Czech service, which is usually much farther from perfect than in Iris) Beware problems with elevator
Thank you for your evaluation of your stay. We believe you liked us at the hotel Iris. We look forward to your next trip to us. Team Iris

Brand new furnishings and renovation, excellent food (and plenty of it), excellent doctor (best in the city !), fantastic and friendly spa treatments and wellness Only minor flaws: garbage truck noise 3 days a week from Sadova Street at facade rooms - 6 AM! Cleaning doesn’t take dirty tea cups from the room. Wi-Fi for smartphones excellent but for laptop it had to reconnect each time, very strange Location is great - you will have 12-15 minutes to walk to sources by beautiful street, with moderate uphill on the way back. Close to the mountain paths Highly recommended !

We were welcomed and checked in by an extremely helpful and friendly member of staff. The bar and restaurant ladies were amazing despite being super busy. The food was average we had half board. We also had a hand wax scheduled - this was interesting. Lady calls me from the Spa at 10:52 says you have a hand wax you can come now. I look at my partner and say - jeez this is gonna be a rush job. We go down, she says dip your hands in here. Didn’t explain anything about the process, my partner left their jewellery on - wax was hot - dipped hands and jewellery into the hot wax 5 times - she just stood their like a dead fish. Put our hands in plastic wrapped in towel kicked over the foot stool and turned off the lights, setting the timer. Left the door open and all through out her WhatsApp and phone kept ringing while she I guess prepared for other guests - maybe ones that were having some more profitable treatments done. It was a rubbish experience at the spa - the timer went off which was suppose to alert her to our treatment done. Timer kept buzzing buzzing buzzing - I turned it off. 10 min later two other girls appear. It was weird and wasn’t nice or relaxing was more annoyed afterwards. She however was the only one that was painful and she works in the spa. All other staff were great. For the stay I’d give 4 stars and the hotel staff - for the spa I’d give 2 stars bordering on 1. Overall 3.
