Spa Hotel IRIS**** is located in the city centre of Carlsbad in a picturesque Sadová Street. Two colonnades with the mineral springs can be found in the close proximity. For example the main Mlýnská colonnade can be comfortably reached within 5 minutes walk. The decorated cast-iron Sadová colonnade with its famous snake thermal spring is located even closer. This colonnade is a part of one of the most wonderful city parks – Dvořák ´s orchard. Our guests can therefore enjoy relaxing walks or they can also do some shopping in the shopping zone situated nearby.

Detailed Reviews
The spa hotel is a conveniently located place with a cozy ambiance. The staff is helpful. The spa is small but OK for a refreshing dip into the pool in the afternoon. We had a room on the 4th floor, which turned quite hot during the day. Though the weather was very hot at that time, it cooled down during the night, so it was quite OK for us. Still, we later found out that the hotel offers air-conditioned rooms on the 5th floor for the same price. So make sure to get a room on the top floor. The breakfast offers a variety of different kinds of food. Especially the availability of traditional Czech sausages was the highlight for us.
Make sure to reserve a parking lot for your stay. The hotel offers a limited number of parking lots in front of the house. As parking in general is very complicated in this town, you might end up using one of the carparks at the outskirts, if you don't reserve a place. Book your places in advance!

Our stay at your hotel left us with a wonderful impression. Many thanks to Jana Homolová, DiS. Reservation & Sales manager for her patience and professional work when placing an order. For the attention given to us and the desire to always help the wonderful Renata and Victoria and for the delicious food to all the kitchen staff. I would like to note the daily and thorough cleaning of our room. But unfortunately, some medical procedures leave much to be desired - I mean water procedures in the bath, where in 15 minutes the water becomes very cold and no one comes to check, and this is so critical that my wife fell ill from hypothermia, which, of course, spoiled the holiday. There was no kettle in our room and at the reception desk they asked us for 5 euros per day of rent, although our friends had a kettle in their room without paying. In a four-star hotel it is strange to see the absence of shampoo, body cream and hair conditioner. These are, of course, small things, but all of this creates a feeling of comfortable rest.

I really enjoyed staying in this hotel “Iris” in Karlovy Vary. Head Doctor Mr. Yuriy Onisko attentive, head nurse Mrs. Tana (apologies if spelling is incorrect, and I can’t remember the surname) organized SPA treatments well and does the CO2 injections so well, SPA staff is professional, kitchen staff makes selection of foods, waiters are nice, cleanliness is very good! Reception staff is quick and helpful. Thanks to all responsible staff of “Iris” Hotel. It is Quiet Hotel, although full of people, even with kids, quiet, not big Hotel. I used to stay in 5 star hotels in Karlovy Vary in the past, but somehow such 4* hotels also good. I wish to return back in this hotel when I can next time.

Small boutique hotel (30 rooms or so). Its success is due to excellent Ukrainian doctor and very modern spa and medical facilities - all in mint condition. Excellent and various food - also due to UA chef. Nice small club for evening conversations or TV
However some glitches should be expected when staff tries to deal with unexpected - then they fail, but if you are OK with very high general level of service, than its probably one of the best small hotels in the town. Highly recommended (again, despite some failures, which should have been treated in a more professional way, but that the way of the Czech service, which is usually much farther from perfect than in Iris)
Beware problems with elevator

Brand new furnishings and renovation, excellent food (and plenty of it), excellent doctor (best in the city !), fantastic and friendly spa treatments and wellness
Only minor flaws: garbage truck noise 3 days a week from Sadova Street at facade rooms - 6 AM! Cleaning doesn’t take dirty tea cups from the room. Wi-Fi for smartphones excellent but for laptop it had to reconnect each time, very strange
Location is great - you will have 12-15 minutes to walk to sources by beautiful street, with moderate uphill on the way back. Close to the mountain paths
Highly recommended !

We were welcomed and checked in by an extremely helpful and friendly member of staff. The bar and restaurant ladies were amazing despite being super busy. The food was average we had half board. We also had a hand wax scheduled - this was interesting.
Lady calls me from the Spa at 10:52 says you have a hand wax you can come now.
I look at my partner and say - jeez this is gonna be a rush job.
We go down, she says dip your hands in here. Didn’t explain anything about the process, my partner left their jewellery on - wax was hot - dipped hands and jewellery into the hot wax 5 times - she just stood their like a dead fish. Put our hands in plastic wrapped in towel kicked over the foot stool and turned off the lights, setting the timer.
Left the door open and all through out her WhatsApp and phone kept ringing while she I guess prepared for other guests - maybe ones that were having some more profitable treatments done.
It was a rubbish experience at the spa - the timer went off which was suppose to alert her to our treatment done. Timer kept buzzing buzzing buzzing - I turned it off. 10 min later two other girls appear.
It was weird and wasn’t nice or relaxing was more annoyed afterwards.
She however was the only one that was painful and she works in the spa. All other staff were great. For the stay I’d give 4 stars and the hotel staff - for the spa I’d give 2 stars bordering on 1. Overall 3.

The hotel is just a few minutes from the Garden Colonnade. The service in the restaurant was very polite and spoke very good German :-)
OMG where do we start. The worst thing is the parking problem, no parking at the hotel. We had to park in a parking garage 20 minutes away because there are no parking spaces at the hotel. The food is too simple for a 4-star hotel and very meat-heavy, as a vegetarian you can't really find anything and there aren't really any desserts at the end of dinner. We're talking about a 4-star hotel here!!! The rooms are very worn out. In our room the ceramic toilet was broken, the sink was cracked, the tiles on the wall were cracked, the joints on the bathtub were covered in red mold and the shower wall was so dirty and the door frame was swollen and there was water damage on the ceiling, etc., just unbelievable. A room with a balcony makes no sense, the view of a wall is not nice and paying more money for it is not worth it. The pool is way too cold for an indoor pool, you can't really go in it and the whirlpool was warm but not a hot tub!!

The location of the hotel is quite wonderful - within walking distance and you are in beautiful Karlovy Vary; The hotel is a small hotel with a manageable number of rooms. We had a room facing the street with balcony; the room was sufficiently large; unfortunately it was quite muffled in the room and despite constant ventilation we did not get the smell out; since the room has no air conditioning it was very hot in the room; on top of that, unfortunately, the blankets are more designed for autumn and winter and not for summer; here it would be nice if there were e.g. for summer very light summer blankets. The bathroom is very nice and big enough; however, in the shower you have to be very careful because it is very slippery.
The staff is very friendly - but only partly German is spoken at the reception so a communication was sometimes very difficult, especially as we had several problems with the room card as it was constantly blocked.
The problem could be solved after the 3. start-up can be solved by replacing batteries. Here you could have reacted a little more friendly.
The food is sufficient and always freshly prepared - there was nothing missing - the knives could be a bit sharper :-)
The medical staff is excellent - we felt well looked after.

First of all, despite many trips, this is only our 4th review.
Previous: Good, OK, Bad.
This one is a straight "Very Good"
A great hotel that is only a few minutes away from the Karlovy Vary healing springs.
Very clean, super friendly staff (applies to everyone), a delicious buffet every evening.
Pool times from 7:00 a.m. are ideal for us. The light shaft in the pool area with normal glass would be nicer, more daylight.
Unfortunately, you can only have a drink in the room or outside the hotel.
Parking space reservation is recommended.
Hotel Iris and Karlovy Vary, we will be back
