When we arrived the lady who worked behind the desk was really friendly and nice and always had smile on her face. She spoke really good English and I heard her speaking in German too. The rooms where really nice and clean. Had a beautiful view of the square. We thought that might get loud by the evening considering there was a restaurant downstairs but it was really quiet.

This hotel is nicely situated and is one of the smartest-looking buildings on the main square. Inside the rooms are clean and spacious, there's an elevator (albeit a tiny one), the wifi works and so there's nothing that is overtly bad. On the other hand, the chap at reception was pleasant enough but seemed more interested in his computer screen and the breakfast was a very ordinary affair, really just the bare minimum buffet spread. I would encourage a few smiles and a better breakfast offer as that would justify 4 stars.

Professional staff, clean room, central location, what more does one want from a three-star location? The hotel has a storage room for bicycles. We took one look at the breakfast and went around the block to a coffee place called "Coffee and Books" instead. I don't suppose the breakfast is actually bad... but it wasn't appealing either. It certainly couldn't compete with a piece of high-fat, high-sugar, high-fruit, high-taste cake and an excellent coffee.

On a small square, but close to a larger one. Good Indian restaurant next door. Rooms are pleasant and nicely furnished. Breakfast was excellent. Bed was typically hard. Easy to access climbing rocks for those so inclined.

I previously stayed at this hotel and had a good experience. I was here for work the first time and found the hotel to be just right for price and location. Coming back a second time I brought my wife for a vacation. She has never traveled abroad and I wanted her to have the best experience. Unfortunately the staff chose to put us in the farthest away room with the view of scaffolding and construction going on right out our window. When asked for a change of room I was told none were available, sorry, sorry, and sorry. The room was booked months in advance. I verified the reservation a week before arrival. Did they inform me that this was what I would be paying for? Nope. Did they offer a discount? Nope. Did they really care? Yeah nope. At least when I travel here for business or pleasure again I know to now stay here. Really crapped on part of our vacation.
