Stayed here 2 nights in attic suite August, really enjoyed the room, location was in a converted attic apartment in the centre of town. I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in a historic building in the centre of CK. Rooms have no AC but we asked for a portable AC unit as it was mid 30degree weather and they gave us a fan which worked out fine. Staff were nice and room was clean. The ad on hotels.com stated there was a private balcony which was not part of our room.

The drive in to town trying to find this hotel is probably the best part of the experience of staying there. Fairly basic hotel that is located right inside the old town so its extremely well positioned.

This is the first time I am writing such a negative review of any hotel and I have stayed in hotels all over the world, from 1 to 5 stars.

I want to warn anyone considering a reservation at this hotel to please consider other options first. There are many, many other choices in Cesky Krumlov, and you should not endure such an experience which forever mars your experience in this town.

I made a reservation for two nights and upon arriving at the hotel was informed that I had made two reservations, for which I have no record. Management became so nasty and abusive that we had no recourse but to leave the premises for fear of retaliation. Given that Cesky Krumlov is a lovely place to visit, and relies heavily on tourism, I do not share this review lightly. (Also, to note that when writing any negative review on Tripadvisor, not all designations regarding service, location, value are accessible.).

There are many other options and I hope anyone reading this review will please be very mindful of any reservations you make, keep confirmation numbers, the site you may use, and to keep records. If I can assist just one other tripadvisor member from the headache and stress of a reservation gone awry, then it will all be worth the effort I have had to endure.

Happy Travels to all!

Ok, this is a charming, clean and quaint pension in the heart of the old town but it has a number of issues that one needs to consider before booking it. Firstly, while the hotel information suggests that parking is available it is no where near the Svambersky dum itself. The hotel has an arrangement with the Eggenberg Brewery which is some distance away - on arrival you are given a mud-map and some garbled instructions (see next point) on how to reach it. We arrived in the evening and by the time we had found the hotel it was getting dark. I won't go in to detail, but navigating the complex nest of tiny roads in the old town to the carefully hidden carpark of the brewery, located on the outskirts of the old town, in the dark was somewhat of a nightmare seconded only by trying to relocate the hotel on foot in the dark. Having arrived in Cesky Krumov around 6.40pm, by the time we had done all of this we sat down to dinner, exhausted, at 9.15pm. Secondly, the woman who appears to be in charge (it is hard to tell at first) is constantly on the move, speaks very little English and seems generally flustered by your presence, especially if you ask any questions - for answers she gabbles at you non-stop in Czech as if you were a native speaker until you give up and go away. Thirdly, and probably the most annoying, is the fact that the hotel is located next door to the La Boheme nightclub which is open late and plays interminable, loud doof-doof music well into the night after which it ejects its noisy patrons out onto the pavement underneath your window. We had very little sleep on both Friday and Saturday nights which made our stay in the lovely old town a weary one. On the bright side the rooms are large and clean (although several things in our bathroom were broken) and the food is very good and very reasonable.

Hotel Ĺ vamberskĂ˝ dĹŻm is located in the center of Cesky Krumlov. It is necessary to carefully read the information regarding parking. Guests can drive with their car into the town center ( pedestrian zone, otherwise valid no entry for all vehicles), park shortly in front of our hotel, unload your luggage and check in. At check in, you will be given a map with detailed instructions on how to reach the guarded parking space, located in the Eggenberg brewery. Our restaurant has got a new, more experienced employees.

My partner and I stayed in this hotel for two nights. Very expensive for what this hotel isn't. There wasn't even soap in the bathroom and beds were rock hard springless mattresses. The best part was that the room was huge and it had beautiful exposed beams in it and a nice court yard. The worst part for sure was their breakfast that was included but practically inedible, super basic and of the lowest quality produce - the coffee was the worst I've ever experienced.

The staff didn't speak much English and we left a handbag and jumper in the room but when we emailed and called they didn't reply to the email and barely spoke English on the phone nor did they seem to find the items.

Spent two nights here in mid December - spent a long time researching which hotel to stay in and I'm glad we chose this one.
The hotel is within a minute if the old square and within 5-10 minutes of everything else Cesky Krumlov has to offer.
A great location and a real gem of a building. A large open fire welcomes you and is very well received after spending time exploring the town in below zero temperatures and snow.
The hotel was being run on a skeleton staff due to it being off-peak, but that did not affect the service at all.
Breakfast (included) was a great selection of juices, milk, fruit, local cheeses and meats, freshly baked bread and cereals. We had lunch in the hotel once - it was a very hearty and filling traditional soup served inside bread, with a very generous side of seasonal local vegetables. Good value for money and generous portion sizes.
We had a front facing room on the first floor. A very large room with a real traditional feel. Wooden floorboards and furniture made it feel very homely. Heating was perfect. The bathroom was also large and fitted to modern standards. Very comfortable indeed!
The only issue with the room we had was that the hotel is next to a late night bar. And our room was the closest to it. It did not bother or affect me, but my companion did find it difficult to sleep due to the noise. If you are a sound sleeper then it will not bother you, but if you are affected by noise then you may want to ask for a room higher up, or facing the back. We did not raise this with the staff as it was not a huge issue for us, and I'm sure they would have moved us if we had have mentioned it. So, please do not let the fact that it's next to a late night bar put you off staying in this charming beautiful little hotel.

I would highly recommend it, and will stay here again!

We came across this place one night searching for somewhere nice and reasonably priced for dinner. They have a nice area out the back and there was one big group of women and a few other smaller tables that were occupied. The wait staff were very attentive to begin with but we sensed that something wasn't quite right when the big group of women got up and left without their meals. We waited for roughly and hour for our meals to come and the restaurant was not full. We had no communication from the once attentive wait staff to let us know when our meals were coming, in fact they stopped coming out to see if we wanted any more to drink or perhaps offer us a basket of bread to nibble on while we waited for our food.

The food itself was OK (nothing spectacular), but came out two meals at a time with a 5 minute wait between them (perhaps this is a European thing as this seems to be the norm here). I wouldn't eat here again and I know it wasn't the waitresses fault but a little communication goes a long way...

I stayed bere with my girlfriend in January 2012 on the from Prague to Germany. We stayed in one of the top floor rooms and it was very cosy, very big and a nice mix of old and new features. This building is one of the oldest in town (the guided tours stop outside the door for a few mins each day) and if you want to know the legend behind the building's logo just ask for the information sheet. The breakfast was good and hearty for a winter's day. I recently returned to CK for a few days and ate here in the restaurant twice. The food was very good and the staff were friendly. It is just away from the mobs of tourists in the town square so you can enjoy a quiet meal here even in Summer. Wholeheartedly recommended.

The hotel is very pleasant, especially if you get either of the very spacious rooms on the top floor. Great breakfast in the sunny courtyard. Travellers need to be aware that there is no parking within Cesky Krumlov, so you have to park outside the town in the public parks (at 35 kc per hour) and either drag all your suitcases or take what you need for your stay. There's no lift at the hotel and the stairs are quite steep! But - go to the tourist information centre in the square and you can get a 24 hour parking ticket for 150 kc - which makes the parking affordable. If you like quaint and comfortable, this is the place to stay.
