Stayed here as part of a travel group a couple of weeks ago and we were really made to feel welcome! Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable - there are lovely hand-drawn maps available with useful recommendations for the whole town. We had the en-suite room upstairs - it was clean, homely and quirky, as was the whole hostel. Would definitely stay here again!
This might be a favorite hostel in Europe on my trip so far. It's small and homey feeling. The perfect place to get away and relax for a few days. Clean, good location, and wonderful staff. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Cesky Krumlov!!
We had the Baker's Room on the right at the bottom of the stairs. It was a spacious room, but the bathroom was pretty small. The water pressure in the shower wasn't great, but the water was hot. This room had no outlet near a mirror, so my sister had to flat iron her hair blind. It's always helpful to have an extra mirror outside the bathroom for getting ready, which this room didn't have. The staff were great. My sister had a canker sore starting and needed some bleach so she could do a bleach rinse (really shortens the life of a canker sore) and the owner was able to track some down for her. Her canker sore was gone in 4 days.
It looks like a house, indeed! It is an old building, but very well kept. Staff very kind (there was a Brazilian girl working there at that time!) and good location, walking distance from bus station and historical centre. I recommend this place for sure!
We loved our stay here. It was pouring rain so we ended up hanging out at the hostel (more of a hotel really) more than we usually would. It was charming, close to everything and very welcoming. The young women working there, sisters from South Africa, couldn't have been more delightful or helpful. Definitely a wonderful stay and a great value.
