Location with viewing the best part of the city! Welcoming and friendly staff in whole hotel and all the time. You feel like in the castle. Spacious and clean rooms with comfortable beds. Great Spa with indoor pool. Rich buffet breakfast with local pastry and unforgettable summer terrace with the view to the river makes you relax and enjoy the history of this town!

The fact that this hotel has a pillow menu should tell you all you need to know. It’s a great hotel. It’s an old hotel (built in 1586) and with all the dark wood and artwork and big iron door fixtures, it feels like you’re living in a castle. But it has all the modern amenities. The bathrooms are all updated and clean and modern. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast has EVERYTHING you could possibly want. Remember you can take your breakfast out onto the patio overlooking the river. People speaking in the hallways does reverberate throughout the rooms so make sure to get a room as far away from elevators and well-traveled paths as you can. We were on the 2nd floor near the end and it was OK (not great but certainly OK enough to sleep). It’s impressive how much energy they take to maintain this beautiful building as they were painting portions of the inside the whole time we were here and to us it looked fine to begin with. Parking is a bit strange as cars aren’t allowed in town so make sure you follow the parking instructions carefully. I researched this carefully and still had problems. As it wasn’t clear that you can only get hourly tickets at the parking lot, not daily tickets. We parked in Parking lot P3. The signage on the streets to guide you to the parking lots is great. If you’re staying for more than one day, it’s cheaper to get a day pass (for as many days as you need) but to do that, you’ll need to park in the parking lot then immediately walk (cars aren’t allowed in town) to the Info Center in the Town Square and get a pass for multiple days. You need to do this before calling the hotel to pick you up because the lot is 40 minutes free. After you get the pass, you need to get into your car and drive out of the lot and go back in with your multiday pass. When you’re done with this, then call the hotel to send a shuttle to pick you and your luggage up. …

Renan & Habriella were two of the most welcoming hotel front desk professionals one can meet. They and other multi-lingual staff members (including a fantastic young female Ukrainian receptionist whose name escapes me) make this special hotel, even more special with their welcoming smiles. I truly cannot say enough about how happy we were that we found this exceptional hotel in Cesky Krumlov. While we have had many positive visits to the city in the past, Hotel Ruze exceeded any expectations we had. Location, rooms, food, pet friendliness, bilingual staff and overall service all justify it's 5 Star ratings. Conrad Hilton may have written the book on "guest services", but the management and staff at Hotel Ruze can teach the class. For us, there is now no other choice in Cesky Krumlov.

I stayed here 20 years ago , in the same top end Gothic suite overlooking the Vltava river. Only the toilet has changed! The suite is large, old, big window for views,. The bathroom is large but VERY badly designed. The bath/shower combo is not easy to use, the sink area far too small for a large room with possibilities for much more. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful! Our A/C did not work well in very hot weather, and they gave us a free dinner at their(more modern and luxurious)sister hotel in the main square. When staying in Krumlov, the ONLY good choice is the Ruze or its main square sister,boih very pleasing.

I stayed here because it was one of the only hotels around with AC. Not all rooms have it though, so make sure you ask for it specifically. It's a short walk from the bus station with only a small section of cobble stones (so you won't have to carry your luggage far). It's an old building, like all of Cesky Krumlov, so you won't get a standard sterile chain hotel room - you will have to live with creaking floorboards wherever you go (and stop being so precious!) That said, I slept like a baby. Everything worked fine - AC, shower, WiFi, TV... The bellhop can also drive you to the train station if he's free (honestly I walk wherever I can but I would not recommend walking to the train station here - especially with luggage, there are cobble stones and big hills), or they'll organise you a taxi. urgently needed a place to stay for the night last minute and we were welcomed by the most friendly and helpful staff Renan and Richard who got us the perfect room really quickly! they were so patient and professional, even going the extra mile of personally checking whether the room was good for us. it’s quite rare to meet such kind staff so we’re glad to have found this hotel unexpectedly :)

I was relocated to this hotel as the original place I booked had to close. As I first walked in my friend and I were both greeted with welcoming smiles. Check in was seamless and very professional. The room was large and clean. We used the terrace in the afternoon to catch some sun, and I’m so glad we did! It’s beautiful, with great views of the river. The lady at the hotel bar was so kind and helpful. We used the wellness in the evening, I highly recommend the herbal bath! It was amazing. The facilities are brilliant and again I can’t begin to thank all of the staff who made the stay so memorable. Special shout out to Renan on front desk! He was kind, helpful and professional.
