We had such a lovely stay here, beautiful rooms and excellent location. The owner took great care of her guests, including made to order breakfast. The rooms were all different but all great and very comfy. Cannot recommend more highly.
The hotel is very well located in the center of the old city. The owner is kind, caring and warm-blooded. We found the best breakfast in Czechia here. Cheese varieties were very good. The terrace view is excellent. It is very nice on the terrace for breakfast. I would definitely recommend and we will be back..
We spent four days in Cesky Krumlov with Katharina and Kim at the Hotel Konvice and had an absolutely awesome visit! Katharina received us, helped us bring bags to the room, explained everything important about the hotel and the local area, gave GREAT recommendations for tours and restaraunts, and made us amazing breakfasts for two of the three mornings while Kim made the last days equally impressive breakfast. Incredible service by people who really care about service! Plus, its steps from the center of town and in view of the most fantastic castle in the country. I absolutely recommend the Hotel Konvice for your vacation or overnights in Cesky Krumlov.
Awful and Arrogant and made a misfortune mistake stopping here when my other first choice restaurant was too busy! I asked for a table for one,got sat down with a menu and I literally just managed to take my coat off and was rushed to order. I said well I'm not ready I just sat down, the woman who if smiled would crack mirror just glared at me then asked the table next to me who had actually been there before me. I guess she was in a rush to get rid of the solo diner. Meanwhile the waiter on the table next to me was being condescending to some japanese tourists trying to explain the bill and that they now owed a tip after they paid for the meal. Not a great start to my dining dining experience..... A few mins later the guy came over and took my order. I then went to the ladies room ( less than 5 min) and when I came back my meal was sitting there. They brought it whilst I wasnt even at the table!!!! And it wasnt hot it was like warm. I asked if it was a main as it had only 3 2cm sized cubes of meat in a gallon of sauce and dumplings. They said yes and proceeded to talk about me in Czech ( the female) thinking I didnt understand it all. They offered more bread dumplings I declined. I dont see a main being 3 cubes of meat 2cm long. That's starter. I have travelled all over the world last 15 years so I'm not being naive or ignorant here. I then ate asked for the bill It was brought over and made CLEAR tip was NOT included. Happy with that they didnt deserve it. So I didnt pay it. Was patronised by the female waitress telling me to face a good new year as a result. Atmosphere... they want your money and for you to eat and get out. I'd never go there again and in a town where there are 100 other choices for food. Choose more wisely than me!…
Quaint hotel in the city center, close to all. Rooms are spacious and clean. Front desk gentleman carried our luggage to our rooms which were one and two floors up - no elevator. Restaurant on-site. WiFi did not work in the room, but did by check in. Must buy a driving permit if you want to drop luggage in front of the hotel only between the hours of 1500 to 1030. Parking is a 9 minute walk away. Had to pay for extra pillows about 4 Euro - that was a small negative. Would stay again - great price with morning breakfast.
Stopped at this 500 year old venue on an impulse following tour of town. Located off the main square, this place caters to tourists as well as locals. We sat next to two German business men who have lunch here when in town. Conversation was a bit difficult but congenial. Server spoke good English, and, we discovered, German, Czech plus Russian. The establishment has upper indoor seating as well as a terrace which overlooks the old town. Our orders included trout with salad and potato, rabbit with dumplings, accompanied by Czech Pilsner and their original Budweiser For dessert we had a home made honey cake and coffee. Food was delicious, quantities adequate, the dessert Devine! Interesting observations by server who has worked here for five years: Russians are arrogant, Americans are crazy!…
Great location and stunning view of the tower from our room. Reception service was excellent and good for local recommendations. Breakfast is included and restaurant service friendly and the food good.
We stayed one night here while in Cesky. It is a great location with proximity to all sights and restaurants of town. It was extremely warm when we were here, so lack of air conditioning on the second floor did not bring relief, BUT we were able to open the windows and have a wonderful breeze coming in all night. There was a DJ party almost next door to this hotel in a park and he was playing till 23:00+. So with our windows open this was super loud in our room and lots of people walking by all night long. The bathroom was upgraded, and the wardrobe was beautiful. The authentic flooring and structure were true to their age. The front desk was EXTREMELY helpful with everything. Parking is not nearby. We did have drinks and dessert at their terrace with a beautiful view of the castle. We also had the free breakfast - it was okay.…
First, look at the picture. That was the view from our room, looking at the castle. We stayed two nights and enjoyed the view all night. Check in was a breeze, with a map and explanation of the castle tours. The hotel restaurant has a nice terrace with the same view of the castle and town. We had booked a suite and it was great, and was a reasonable price. It had a side room with two more twin beds (would have worked well traveling with kids) and a modern and spacious bathroom. Creaking wood floors and antique furniture pieces set a nice historic feel. The staff was attentive and professional. The only minus for the stay was some noise from a neighboring bar terrace at night, but this seemed common around town.
we enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and rooms very clean. We were upgraded to the largest room in the hotel......huge room with sitting area too. Location is great......easy to walk into town. View from room was wonderful. We ate dinner in the restaurant attached to the hotel; food was very good.
