Hotel was located right in the middle of a not to be missed place while in Czech Republic or Austria and located overlooking the river. Quaintness is an understatement. Cute shops, good eating and friendliness all around. This little town is the best place to shop for garnets that I have found. Found all the shopkeepers kind and friendly.

Once I arrived at the hotel, I was upgraded to a top floor room with a terrace. It had a view of the castle across the river and also overlooked the town. The scene was beyond stunning. The hotel is old but charming. Bathroom was clean and modern. Parking is a bit of a walk, especially if you have heavy...

Our deluxe corner rooms looked out to the castle on the hill, as well as the river Vltava, both very beautiful. As we walked through the door, there was a small foyer with a table and wardrobe. The bedroom to the right was quite spacious, with a king-size bed, sofa, coffee table, writing table and extra chairs. On the coffee...

We spent a couple of nights there after traveling from Prague, getting to Česky Krumlov by bus. The hotel has an awesome location right by the river and right after a little wooden bridge. The rooms are huge and very elegant, decoration is lovely and very clean. Beds are very comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant, right by the...

I had a lunch at this restaurant, the waiter had terrible attitude. At the end he charged me 20czk extra which is not a lot but I didn't remember I ordered anything that small amount so I asked him, he told me it was for the bread on the table (3 pieces hard cold bread) ,ketchup, pepper and salt which...

Imagine opening your second floor window and through a bevy of red geraniums seeing this magnificent castle right across the river. To the right an old bridge that rattled every time a car crossed over as though it was groaning because it was made for people and animals. Great breakfast, fine local beer and fabulous people watching. Make sure you...

This hotel is well located in the middle of town, although the town is small so anywhere near the old-town centre would be fine. The staff are all lovely and helpful, the rooms are clean and huge but the hotel is a little tired and therefore over-priced. I was rather expecting old-world charm and it didn't quite deliver.

The hotel is conveniently located to visits to historic places in the village and also to shopping and eating. I ate a wonderful bowl of Czech goulash in the bar/restaurant. Additionally a very nice breakfast was served as part of the hotel room cost.

We wanted to stop for some afternoon coffee and snacks but we were told that if we won't be having lunch, then we have to leave. The restaurant was not even half full. I don't mind hotels with private restaurants but this one looks like a normal restaurant/coffee garden. If it's meant only for the hotel guests, they should have...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Dvořák is allocated at the historical centre of Český Krumlov and its rooms offer a unique view on the Vltava River and the magnificent castle panorama. Historical town of Český Krumlov is based in the valley of meandering Vltava River and it was established by the Vitek family early around 1274. The historical centre of the town was recorded in the UNESCO list of world cultural heritage in 1992. The castle of Cesky Krumlov is the most impressive landmark with the round tower. The part of the town Latran is also admired with so-called Budejovicka gate, Main Square with city hall, plague pillar and the fountain. The whole town managed to keep the unique medieval streets with a significant number of Renaissance buildings containing Gothic cores. ... more   less
