The Yachai is very beautiful and pleasant, in the heart of the Tayrona park, precisely 10 minutes on foot from the El Zaino entrance. We occupied the family suite which offers a superb terrace with a private outdoor jacuzzi. The location is good but still requires taking the shuttle to access the start of the hiking trail (or you have to walk 45 minutes along the road). But the shuttle is very easy to take, it runs regularly (5000COP per person per trip). The hotel itself is very beautiful and rather well maintained. Impeccable cleanliness. The restaurant is good, a little expensive but very slow. Very pleasant stay.

We (group of 9) stayed for 2 nights in Yachay hotel and we all found the accommodation clean and relaxing: nature all around. The food is made on the spot, which can take a while (~1h). It tastes overall okay. Service is either understaffed or incompetent, which led to many forgotten orders, and we had the unpleasant surprise to find out they charged for them at the end of our stay anyway. The bill was unbelievably high, and the group before told us the same happened to them. The staff somewhat acknowledged the mistake and came to an agreement. *One advice: keep track on your own.*

I highly recommend Yachay Hotel to those that want to explore the Tayrona National park but still want some comfort (i.e.: no hammock or camping). The owners of the hotel are great, nice, welcoming, and attentive. Even before arriving they were engaging with me through WhatsApp and answering all my questions. They helped us book airport transportation and horse riding adventures (a little bit more expensive than if you do it with the companies that operate at the park, but Yachay works with a lady that treats her horses well).
The food is great and the service is top-notch. The burger is to die for, but so are all their dishes!
I went with my wife and 4 kids and we all loved our time there! Thaks Yachay family

I would not recommend this hotel. There is construction below our room when we asked at 10PM to have the noise stop the manager asked us to allow it til midnight! The construction is all day with no chance of relaxing in our room. The wifi is spotty at best and only in one small section of the restaurant. The food takes forever. Took 1:15 hours to get a wrap with only 1 table ahead of us. The kitchen and servers are under staffed but they try. There is nothing to do at this hotel

I was terribly disappointed of this facility. They didn't have electricity nor running water for a few hours.
The place is nice however running water & electricity are a must. I had to bathe myself with bottle water, there was not otherway to do it. The lack of Plan B.

I’m so glad I booked this lodge for my stay in Tayrona. The staff were warm and helpful. It had a calm, peaceful vibe that allowed me to just tune into the beautiful surroundings. The staff can arrange to have the van to the trailhead stop right at the hotel driveway. I appreciated having access to showers and restroom after checking out of my room so that I could visit the beach again before departing Tayrona.

I’m upset that I can’t give more than 3 stars to this hotel. Its sunning location (inside Tayrona Park) and beautiful hammocks area unfortunately coexists with a mediocre service. Staff is friendly but unprofessional: at the restaurant, it takes forever for someone to give you the menu, some items you ordered are forgotten and the food is way too greasy. For the price we paid (203,000 COP for a double room with shared bathroom + 49,500 COP per person to enter the park), I would have expected a better check-in and check-out experience: when we arrived, we had to walk from the road to the hotel through a dirt, up-and-down road carrying our backpacks and the same happened on the way out. It would have been a plus to take us to the park’s entrance by car free of charge.

Overall, I felt upset that a hotel on such an amazing scenery was so badly managed. Really a pity. Would not stay here again.

We went there just for dinner, and it was great. The food, the service, the environment - all were terrific. The walkway from the road to the hotel was not lit up when we arrived, so we were very glad to have our headlamp - it would have been hard without it. But by the time we left it was all lit up, perfect. Really a beautiful place. It’s about 700 meters from the park entrance. You can walk or take the shuttle (before 6pm). The hotel can call the shuttle to pick you up there to take you toward the beach or back to the entrance.

We had an enjoyable stay at the property.

The pros are the picturesque location/property, the very friendly staff and the yummy yummy food!

Some callouts: the rooms don’t get freshened up daily - I understand the driver of this is to reduce footprint, but after days at the beach, sand and lots of water bottles, it would be been nice to get a tidy up. The second would be the speed of breakfast- each meal took over an hour from start to finish which is more acceptable in the evenings, but the mornings caused us to start our hikes late. Lastly, there is no shuttle service further into the park from the hotel and although buses may pass and have empty seats it was rare- this led to 50 minute walks from the hotel to the park entrance (plus 2-3 hours into the park to get to swimmable beaches). Beautiful hikes but I wish this was more known prior.

Our family of 5 stayed in 2 rooms for 3 nights. This is perfect if you are going to spend multiple days in the park bc you don't have to wait in lines to get in and can get an early start before all the crowds. The beds are comfortable with powerful but loud fans. We didn't get any bug bites and it was cool, but a bit hard to sleep with the noise. There is a shuttle stop to the start of the hikes but you do have to walk about 10 min to get in and out of the property. No hot showers, but they were not at all needed. You have bfst and dinner at the hotel and the good was fine, but not great. There are nice places to sit and relax, lie in hammocks. It is a lovely, new, clean place and we would definitely stay here over anywhere outside the park.
