Other reviewer's comments are not favorable, but it's unclear what the expectations are - a five star resort? This is rural area ... nearby communities may not have power and running water. This hotel has both, which cannot be easy to consistently provide. The hotel is clean - the room was basic but had a hot shower and no mosquitoes. The food was also basic, but fresh and good. I would stay again.

I was traveling for work, and the organization that I work for uses this hotel. On the outside it looks like a modern hotel, but once again had I paid for it out of my own pocket, I would have opted to go elsewhere. The young receptionist did not seem so enthusiastic, but checked us in. The lobby of the hotel looks very clean, however the furniture in my room looked a bit dated. One of the major light fixtures was broken, and the television did not work. The hotel does have a good gym with modern treadmill, and other equipment. They do not have free wi-fi, and they do not provide water for their guest. At night they can be busy because they have a quaint little bar, and a good supply of spirits. Hence beers are reasonable priced . They give you a choice for breakfast in that you can order items, or take them from buffet.

Was there over the weekend and had a terrible experience the television set was not working, shower was faulty with hardly any warm water and the bed was squeaking horribly. This was worsened by the breakfast not being ready at 7am as promised i was responded to very rudely by the woman in charge of the breakfast table. When the break fast was finally brought in phases I asked for toast bread which was prepared and left at the toaster for 20 mins till I had to go and pick it. My honest recommendation is only stay there if you can not travel the 50kms t o fort portal as its not worth the rate charged. Customer care and comfort is clearly not on their priority list.

It’s probably your best option in Kyenjojo. The hotel has a gym and a pool although i can’t comment much about them since I never had the opportunity of using them. The staff is fairly friendly. Beyond the hotel menu, they are flexible enough to allow you order a more customized order and is prepared. There is no WiFi. That’s a draw back. Also, if you choose to live on the third and top most floor, ensure you have strong knees because the stair steps are quite and can have a toll. The balcony’s have a beautiful view although they are open. You can walk around the entire floor of the hotel and easily have access to other rooms. There’s no privacy at all. Otherwise, it’s a hotel I would recommend.

When i stepped In Kyenjonjo last weekend(5,6,7 May). I was showed around while looking for decent motels and there was non. i was then led to the famous Royal Cottages. From a distance the main building looks like the Tooro Kingdom palace. Its is surely outstanding in the whole of Kyenjojo. The entrance is well designed and then a nice driveway, then it actually hits you that the place is lovely, the gardens are green and well manicured and various trees providing good shade. its very ideal for an outdoor evening or hot afternoon. The rooms do not actually depict what is out. they are just plain, normal rooms you would come to for sleeping. the lighting is basic and there is no noticeable decor, no sophistication at all. All that side its the best there is in the center of Kyenjojo town.
