Wow, what can I say. It was so pretty there. Surrounded by beautiful mountains and the bonus was waking up to snow. The countryside was transformed to a picture perfect Christmas card. Lovely rooms, friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. Wish we did not have to go home. I would recommend this lodge to anyone

My husband and I went to Silver Hill Lodge for Sunday and Monday hoping that we would experience snow as it was forecast. We were not disappointed! The snow fell on Sunday night and we awoke to the most beautiful sight. The resort itself is just too fantastic. The rooms are so beautiful and luxurious and warm. The staff were... More

On arrival he informed us that there was a “slight” problem with flies over the previous few days and that there may be “some” flies around. It was a bit surprising that this was not communicated to us earlier in the week so that we could make a decision on whether we would travel three hours to stay there while... More

What a great place to stay! Awesome people, especially Barry and the owner Alan. Very accommodating from start to finish. We will definitely be back! The cozy pub with fireplace is brilliant venue for meeting the other guests and having a good chin wag!

We had a very good stay and the host was very friendly. Went out his way to make us comfortable and assist where possible. Would definitely recommend this resort to my other friends and family and will use it again if I decide to take a trip to the Kamberg.

This place really knows how to treat it's guests. Alan and his team couldn't be more accommodating and helpful and on both occasions we've stayed, one a group trip and one a family trip with young children, they have bent over backwards to make it a memorable stay. Highly recommended on all fronts.

A lovely experience with all credit to Alan (owner) and Barry (Manager) and staff. Excellent personal service. For those wanting 'far from the madding crowd', some solitude and a relaxing environment, this is the place. Breakfast and dinner included in the price.

I have been visiting Silverhill for many years now. The Kamberg is undoubtedly one of the best regions in the Drakensburg and for my money Silverhill is the friendliest most personalised stay there is. Great rates, best service and a spectacular space to take a break.
