We have come back to stay at this great lodge after a few years. Still the most beautiful place and all the rooms and main building have been maintained and looked after so well. Alan is a fantastic host with so many great stories and always has a suggestion of what we can do in the area. The farmlands are... More

We recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend at Silver Hill Lodge in the Kamberg Valley. We stayed in the Retreat which is an absolute delight along with the general cleanliness of the entire lodge. This is complemented with the superb meals in the warm restaurant and the hospitality of our host / owner Mr. Clark. To cap it... More

We had the good fortune to spend 2 nights at Silverhill Lodge in Kamberg on the weekend of the 15th and 16th of July. Being nature lovers we enjoyed hiking at nearby Highmoor as well as doing some lovely walks on the estate including up to the foothills of the mountain behind the Lodge. Alan and Barry (Owner and Manager... More

My husband and I went to Silver Hill Lodge for Sunday and Monday hoping that we would experience snow as it was forecast. We were not disappointed! The snow fell on Sunday night and we awoke to the most beautiful sight. The resort itself is just too fantastic. The rooms are so beautiful and luxurious and warm. The staff were... More

On arrival he informed us that there was a “slight” problem with flies over the previous few days and that there may be “some” flies around. It was a bit surprising that this was not communicated to us earlier in the week so that we could make a decision on whether we would travel three hours to stay there while... More

We take any complaint received from a guest very seriously. We prefer our guests to depart from Silver Hill Lodge having had a pleasant experience and with the desire to return at some stage, which many guests do. We have noted your dissatisfaction, and have offered you two nights free accommodation at a time of your choosing. We are sorry... More

What a great place to stay! Awesome people, especially Barry and the owner Alan. Very accommodating from start to finish. We will definitely be back! The cozy pub with fireplace is brilliant venue for meeting the other guests and having a good chin wag!

We had a very good stay and the host was very friendly. Went out his way to make us comfortable and assist where possible. Would definitely recommend this resort to my other friends and family and will use it again if I decide to take a trip to the Kamberg.

This place really knows how to treat it's guests. Alan and his team couldn't be more accommodating and helpful and on both occasions we've stayed, one a group trip and one a family trip with young children, they have bent over backwards to make it a memorable stay. Highly recommended on all fronts.

A lovely experience with all credit to Alan (owner) and Barry (Manager) and staff. Excellent personal service. For those wanting 'far from the madding crowd', some solitude and a relaxing environment, this is the place. Breakfast and dinner included in the price.
