Lovely little Inn. Good place for romantic sunsets. Courteous service and good Cuban food. Good place to practice Spanish. Beautiful trail that follows the river with thermal water to relax. Enjoy the place and have a nice stay.

I was in Cuba for a school learning service trip. This was the second hotel which we stayed at and I would have loved if we could have stayed there the whole trip. It was honestly a hidden gem. I thought the layout of little huts was really adorable and our room overlooked the ocean. It was a really neat spot because it is also where the ocean meets a river. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and not stuffy at all. The food was great! It was a buffet and was a real treat from the hotel we had been at previous. There was a lot of selection and variety. In the morning they would even make omelettes to your desire. It's not a resort if that is what you are looking for, but it was definitely a hidden gem for those that like a place a little off the beaten path.

Wow - the reviews here are brutal! I thought the resort was just fine - not fancy and maybe a little bit rustic but the location was awesome and the accommodations adequate. Be realistic about your expectations in Cuba - this is a poor country, isolated somewhat from the rest of the world and food options limited. I rather appreciated the simple but fresh food and unadulterated surroundings and accommodations.

We spent 3 days enjoying ourselves as a family. We really liked the installation with its offers. The food varied and well prepared. We felt very comfortable with the treatment we were given, very attentive the workers. We look forward to repeating the experience.

We have stayed here for one night only, as part of the organised trip by thomas cook. We were told usually the tour stops in a Trinidad Hotel, but that one was overbooked so we ended up here.

The place looked ok at the beginning, lucky location.

The room looks smallish, but fine for a night we thought. The first problem for us was the fact, you cannot open the windows at all. I do understand there is an aircon - which you dont really want to switch on as in the night the temperature is just perfect to sleep at opened window. Also the room smells stuffy. cannot ventillate throught...

the bedding was really dodgy... spotty, didnt know why... Now we know. we ended up sleeping in underware because you really didnt want to get into this bedding with your skin only....

We been eaten up by bedbugs overnight. Massive bites, back from the cuban holiday for two weeks and still itching.

The food is very average. They have a good dining room, but they are cooking inside of it at closed windows... so all the oily fumes will get into your clothes... something we really didnt like.

I wil never come here again sor sure. will visit Cuba abd do this trip again, but this motel or what so ever, must be avoided...

i have spoken to a canadian couple we met on this trip -they had the same problem, they were beaten up badly as well...

something really serious to address.

The scoop: our room had mosquitos in the shower upon our arrival. The cleaning staff had light fingers. Beef was impossible to cut (no steak knives either).
One plus: the octopus/mermaid hybrid sculpture is a hoot.

Stay here if there is no other lodging available.

My wife and I stayed here for one night only, as part of a trip stopover on a bike tour run by Exodus Travels out of the UK. We ended up in one of the multi-unit building complexes, with our unit at the end on the second floor. We found the room to be fine but the view marginal despite being so close to the water. Breakfast in the morning was also quite acceptable and well-prepared of the standard fare. We had virtually no contact with staff and all was done through the tour leader and worked out fine. Others in the group were not as happy as we were with our room though. A number, probably most, complained of mosquitoes in their rooms and some had minor complaints of things not working but that was not our case. I'm sure the tour company did not pay a lot for the accommodation but it was quite adequate and the location on the water was very nice. After a hard day of cycling from Cienfuegos, it was a welcome destination!

Pretty basic hotel. You would call this hotel a motel in the UK. Restaurant and bar was good. The bedroom and bathroom felt a little musty - this may have been due to the damp weather! Hotel was ok for a one night stop over.

It was a horrible place! The rooms with the smell of musty, rememberig old times: those of workers ' holidays in Poland (Poles know what's going on) even though it was pretty clean, well-kept grounds though without taste, breakfast very average, and here there is no choice but for dinner, you need to be sure to go to the bar instead the hotel's restaurant, the food is amazing and fresh. Good drinks. Zero of the beach, unless someone satisfies the patch under the bridge at the mouth of the River, to the beach you have to go a few miles away.

Very nice location directly at the Caribbean sea - a must if you are around and ready for a break. We stopped by only to have coffee, and it really was worth it! Nice staff and nice people around. We did not try the hotel, however.
